Chapter 407: Chapter 406: A Tier 8 Being? (part 1)

Its regeneration was still astonishing.

But...

Alix noticed something.

The blood flowing from the fountain had slowed considerably.

Its crimson glow wasn’t as brilliant as before. Even the ancient runes had begun flickering.

The creature’s aura remained powerful. Yet it was no longer increasing.

Instead, It had begun to decline ever so slightly.

Alix looked toward the blood fountain before shifting his gaze back to the abomination.

A faint smile appeared on his face.

"So..."

"It seems you’ve finally reached your limit."

The creature answered with another furious roar.

Its three heads screamed together.

"KILL!"

"KILL!"

"KILL!"

Its massive body charged once more.

This time, however, there was desperation behind its movements.

It no longer fought like an apex predator. It fought like a cornered beast.

Alix slowly lowered his sword.

His expression became completely serious.

"I’ve learned everything I needed."

"I suppose it’s time to end this."

The surrounding elements suddenly became restless.

The atmosphere itself trembled.

Even the remaining Decay Law surrounding the creature became unstable.

Then...

Four different elemental auras erupted around Alix simultaneously.

Crimson flames blazed into existence behind him.

Golden lightning danced across the heavens.

Deep blue torrents of water circled around his body like endless dragons.

Countless emerald blades of wind filled the sky.

Each element occupied one direction.

Each possessed its own complete elemental law.

The surrounding world immediately lost balance.

The fire scorched the heavens. The lightning shattered space. The water suppressed all movement. The wind sliced apart everything it touched.

The four powers should never have been able to exist together.

Normally, they would reject one another.

They would collide.

Explode.

Collapse.

Yet under Alix’s control, they remained perfectly stable. One after another, he spoke.

"[Tier 6 Skill: Infernal Sun.]"

A blazing sphere condensed behind him, radiating the absolute authority of Fire.

"[Tier 6 Skill: Heavenly Thunder Execution.]"

An enormous spear of golden lightning descended from the clouds, surrounded by countless thunder dragons.

"[Tier 6 Skill: Abyssal Tidal Dominion.]"

The shattered earth shook violently as an ocean seemingly materialized from nothing, vast waves coiling around Alix like ancient sea serpents.

"[Tier 6 Skill: Sky Severing Tempest.]"

The wind screamed.

Invisible blades capable of splitting mountains filled the surrounding sky until reality itself appeared to ripple.

The four techniques floated around him.

Each one possessed enough destructive force to rival a true Tier 7 attack.

Yet Alix wasn’t finished.

He slowly raised his left hand. The four elemental skills began moving.

Fire.

Lightning.

Water.

Wind.

They slowly revolved around one another. At first, the process seemed impossible. The elements violently resisted.

The entire world trembled from their rejection, sky cracked, earth collapsed.

Reality itself groaned beneath the pressure.

Then, Alix clenched his hand.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The four techniques compressed together.

The different elemental laws intertwined.

Merged.

Balanced.

Instead of destroying one another, they became one.

A sphere no larger than a man’s head slowly appeared above Alix’s palm.

Within it burned crimson flames.

Golden lightning continuously flashed across its surface.

An endless ocean revolved inside it. Invisible blades of wind circled around everything.

Its appearance was beautiful.

Almost peaceful.

Yet the instant it came into existence...

The surrounding world fell completely silent.

The Decay Law surrounding the abomination retreated instinctively.

The blood fountain shook violently.

Even the ancient sacrificial runes flickered uncontrollably.

For the first time since its creation...

Fear appeared across all three faces of the creature.

It could no longer sense hunger. It could no longer sense rage.

Only death.

True death.

The kind from which there would be no regeneration.

Its three twisted faces stared at the small sphere floating above Alix’s palm.

Compared to the mountain-destroying techniques used earlier, it appeared almost insignificant.

The blood fountain behind it began surging violently.

The ancient sacrificial runes burned with blinding crimson light as though desperately trying to pour every remaining drop of power into the creature.

Its shattered body continued mutating.

Additional arms burst from its ribs.

Its spine split apart, revealing rows of jagged black bones.

The Decay Law surrounding it erupted to an unprecedented level, forming a massive gray storm that engulfed the heavens.

The three heads screamed together.

"NO!"

"NO!"

"NO!"

They no longer sounded enraged, only terrified.

Alix simply looked at it.

His expression remained as calm as ever.

Then, he lowered his hand. The tiny sphere drifted forward.

It moved slowly.

So slowly that an ordinary person could have walked faster.

Yet the surrounding space collapsed wherever it passed.

Invisible cracks spread through reality itself.

The four elemental laws revolved in perfect harmony around the sphere.

Fire.

Lightning.

Water.

Wind.

Each law strengthened the others until they became something far greater than four separate techniques.

The abomination let out a desperate roar.

Every strand of Decay Law it possessed surged toward the approaching sphere.

Gray tidal waves flooded the world.

The earth beneath them dissolved.

The sky darkened completely.

The creature abandoned all offense.

Every ounce of its remaining strength became defense.

Even the blood fountain began shaking violently, pouring endless blood into the creature in a final attempt to preserve its existence.

The sphere continued forward.

Nothing could slow it.

Nothing could divert it.

It was only a few dozen meters away.

Ten meters.

Five.

One.

Then...

The world suddenly froze, not because of Alix, or the abomination.

But because the very fabric of space began to scream.

RRRRRRRRRRRIP!

A deafening sound echoed across heaven and earth. The sky above the battlefield split apart.

An enormous crack tore through space itself, stretching from one end of the horizon to the other.

It resembled a wound carved directly into reality.

Endless darkness lay beyond it.

A darkness so profound that even light seemed unwilling to enter.

The moment the crack appeared...

Everything changed.

An indescribable pressure descended upon the world.

It wasn’t merely powerful.

It was absolute.

It was the pressure of a being that stood so high above everyone present that resistance became meaningless.

The heavens trembled.

The earth groaned.

The world’s spiritual energy became completely still.

Even the natural laws surrounding the battlefield seemed to weaken before this overwhelming presence.

Far away...

On the battlefield outside Luminaris City...

The war came to an abrupt halt.

Both armies instinctively looked toward the heavens.

An invisible force swept across the battlefield like an endless tide.

The weaker soldiers collapsed immediately.

Thousands fell to their knees without understanding why.

Some couldn’t even breathe.

Tier 3 cultivators lost consciousness on the spot.

Even countless Tier 4 experts found themselves unable to remain standing.

Several Tier 5 experts widened their eyes in horror.

Their bodies trembled uncontrollably. No matter how desperately they tried. They couldn’t move.

It was as though an invisible mountain had been placed upon their shoulders.

Sweat poured from their faces.

Some began coughing blood simply from resisting the pressure.

"This..."

"What is this...?"

One human elder collapsed onto both knees, his entire body shaking violently.

"I... can’t... breathe..."

Even Tier 6 experts felt their hearts sink.

Charles gripped his sword with both hands, yet his arms were trembling.

His breathing had become difficult.

"This pressure..."

His voice was barely above a whisper.

"...what kind of existence possesses this level of power?"

Virtil’s face had turned pale. Fear appeared in the old knight’s eyes.

He slowly raised his head toward the torn heavens.

"It feels..."

"...as though a god has descended."

Across the battlefield, Alix’s generals finally lost their relaxed expressions.

--

Back within the ruined mountain range. The abomination suddenly stopped struggling.

Instead, all three heads looked toward the enormous spatial rift.

Their expressions changed completely, and their fear vanished.

In its place came fanatical reverence. The three mouths spoke together.

"Our..."

"Lord..."

"Has come..."

The darkness inside the spatial crack churned violently.

Something enormous was moving beyond it.

The surrounding space shattered layer after layer.

Reality itself seemed incapable of supporting its arrival.

Then...

A single hand slowly emerged from the darkness.

It was enormous.

Large enough to eclipse an entire mountain range.

Its skin was dark crimson, covered with countless ancient black runes that shifted like living creatures.

Each fingernail resembled the blade of a divine weapon.

Every movement distorted the surrounding laws.

Even the Law of Decay surrounding the abomination instinctively retreated before that hand.

It reached forward with terrifying calm.

Not hurried.

Not desperate.

As though it were merely brushing away an inconvenience.

The gigantic demonic hand positioned itself directly before the abomination.

At that exact moment...

Alix’s fused elemental sphere arrived.

One represented the combined authority of four elemental laws.

The other carried the overwhelming might of an existence beyond everyone on the battlefield.
