Chapter 882: Part 2: Rude Heirs
Edith Store
Jeremy Night was shocked by their behavior. He immediately grabbed the book from the girl and others around him.
Finally, he grabbed the book from Oscar. It was done so fast that everyone was stunned.
"Do you guys have any manners?" Jeremy asked.
Oscar’s smile disappeared. The faces of others in the room changed. They didn’t expect to hear that from someone unknown.
The staff was terrified. He pounced forward to attack. He was standing close. If it were anyone else, the punch would have landed and hit.
But Jeremy Night grabbed his wrist and twisted it in no time.
Aaahhhh!
The staff let out a blood-curdling scream. It was heard by others outside the guest room, since the room door was open.
People on the floor would have heard the scream as well.
Oscar and others in the room were shocked. The staff in the room continued to wail.
"How dare you attack a staff member here?" a female beast tamer asked. Her name was Sarah.
"Sarah, don’t worry. The Edith Store won’t let him go," Oscar said.
She was the one who had grabbed the book from his hand earlier.
To that, Jeremy smiled and confronted them. He looked into their eyes. He knew their attitude well. He was once a young master in the 14th Zone.
So he knew the reason behind their actions. That’s why he didn’t let the insult continue. He took the initiative to confront them.
Now they were speechless. They couldn’t fight here. They could only use their influence. But the young man didn’t seem to care.
Oscar was really angry. He felt he was losing face in front of his friends. He didn’t want to fight here; otherwise, his family would be answerable.
Just as things were getting tense, someone walked into the room. The person was none other than Manager Amelia.
"What’s going on here?" Amelia asked.
Hearing that, everyone turned toward her. Jeremy Night let go of his grip. The next moment, the staff cried injustice to the Manager.
"Manager, this person attacked me and broke my wrist," the staff member said in anger.
"Yes, Ms. Amelia. We are witnesses to this attack," Oscar said.
Sarah then added, "Not only did he attack him, but he was also being rude to us all."
Then the others started adding fuel to the fire as well.
Amelia heard everything. She then turned toward Jeremy Night.
She said, "Put those books on the table and leave the place."
Her tone sounded cold and unfriendly.
Jeremy Night put the books on the table. He then exited the room and went toward the exit. He saw that the customers and staff were still in shock.
They didn’t know him, so he went outside. He looked around. Head Harold was not there, so he walked away from the place.
He found a cab and asked the driver to take him back to the hotel. He knew if he stayed there, he might come across the rude heirs again.
Meanwhile,
Oscar, Sarah, and the others were shocked. They had expected something else from the manager. They had thought the young man would be captured and undergo punishment.
The staff member was stunned as well. He had thought the Manager would support him.
Amelia turned toward the staff member and said, "You are suspended for one month. Leave the store."
"What?" the staff member said in shock.
Then he looked into the eyes of Manager Amelia. She was angry right now, and she was serious.
The staff member then turned toward Young Master Oscar and Young Miss Sarah, but they were silent as well. They were completely surprised.
The staff member then left the room, lowering his head.
Amelia then turned toward the group.
"What do you guys want to purchase here?"
"I’ll help you," Amelia said.
Hearing that, the faces of everyone changed drastically. They felt they were being told to leave unless they were there to buy things.
Oscar was angry. He had totally lost face. It was because the unknown person had acted first and hadn’t given them the opportunity to act.
Usually, this wouldn’t happen. People would avoid their gazes. In most cases, they would listen to them.
"Let’s leave this place," Oscar said, and walked out.
Sarah and the others followed him as well.
When everyone left the place, only she remained there. She didn’t know exactly what had happened inside the room because privacy was maintained there.
She took out her device and watched the entrance footage. She saw how the staff member present earlier had been fawning over Oscar and the others.
She knew they were the ones who had caused the problem. She shook her head. She recalled the young man.
The young man had attacked their staff member, even though he was in the right. The young man had used force, which broke the rules.
It was because of Elder Edith that she spared the young man’s life. She then took the breathing methods and went to the treasury to store them.
Meanwhile,
Oscar, Sarah, and the others walked out of the place. Their mood was terrible. They didn’t know the young man, but he had insulted them.
"Do we have a way to find him?" Sarah asked.
Oscar paused his footsteps. His eyes gleamed with a twinkle.
He said, "Manager Amelia seems to know this person, and he confronted us without any fear."
"Likely he has a background no less than ours," he added.
Hearing that, everyone agreed. If it were any other person, they would have been scared.
"But still, we can’t let this insult go," Sarah said.
"If we come across him in the future, we will decide then. Next, we have to go to the species base," Oscar said, and started walking.
Seeing that, the others followed closely behind him. Sarah was still unwilling, but she listened to him.
Then they left the place quickly.
Time passed.
A few minutes later,
Head Harold came to the store. When he went to the guest room, he saw Jeremy Night was not there. He then called Manager Amelia right away.
"What happened?" he asked when Amelia entered the room.
Amelia was still angry. She then briefed him about the things that had happened there.
"You don’t have to pay. He didn’t have time to read them in the end," she said before leaving.
Harold shook his head. He then left the store.
