Chapter 354: Chapter 354: Over Five Weeks, and It’s Twins

Elias Langley’s gaze towards Sebastian Sinclair turned cold as well.

"Enough. From the moment you walked in, you’ve targeted her at every turn. I said, once I clear things up, I’ll give you an explanation."

Sebastian Sinclair watched him hold Iris Paxton without any sense of discord, feeling utterly disappointed in him.

"You’ve not only forgotten my daughter, forgotten your wife, but you’ve also forgotten even your own surname! What kind of person is Dylan Paxton? Sean Paxton is dead, and he has fished you out to turn you into a new pawn, sucking your blood, yet you regard him as a life-saving benefactor. Elias Langley, you’re seeing a thief as your father, not only have you lost your memory, but even your judgment seems to have been eaten by dogs."

Having said that, Sebastian Sinclair cast him a glance, turned around, and left.

On the way here, he was still contemplating whether or not to tell him about Juliana Jacobs’ pregnancy.

Now it seemed, it wasn’t necessary at all.

His daughter doesn’t need Elias Langley’s concern!

Meanwhile, Elias Langley stood where he was. Sebastian Sinclair’s words hit like a chisel into his blank consciousness, stirring up a dull, chaotic noise.

Seeing Iris Paxton’s aggrieved look, he felt angry, yet his consciousness couldn’t refute Sebastian Sinclair’s words, as if what he said was right.

"Elias," Iris Paxton looked at him with tears brimming, "I’m sorry, I’ve made you get scolded again. You better not mind me... He doesn’t seem like an ordinary person, his family must be very powerful. You remember nothing now, if they really want to do something to you, I’m afraid you’d suffer."

These words seemed considerate, but actually pushed The Sinclairs into the demonic path in his heart.

Yet Elias Langley did not react to her "consideration".

He gazed in the direction of the door, the lines on his profile tense.

Half a month ago, he awoke in a private hospital by The Zenthian Sea.

When his consciousness first awoke, his brain was a blank slate, not even recalling his own name.

The doctor said he suffered severe memory loss due to a head injury and drowning, and surviving was already a miracle.

And Iris Paxton was the first figure to emerge in that blank space.

From the time he was in a coma, a gentle and stubborn voice repeatedly circled his ears.

"You must wake up... you must."

"I’m waiting for you... don’t give up."

That voice was like a rope, slowly pulling him back to reality from the depths of chaos.

So when he opened his eyes and saw Iris Paxton, with bloodshot eyes, guarding by his bedside, a near-instinctual dependence and trust quietly took root.

Iris Paxton told him that his name was "Elias Langley" and that he was a close friend of her brother Sean Paxton.

A month earlier, the two of them set out on a private yacht to the open sea to fish, only to encounter an unusual storm at night, capsizing the vessel.

She had been on another accompanying ship at the time, witnessed the whole ordeal, and desperately dragged him out of the sea, but her brother did not return.

She even had pictures of Sean Paxton and him together on her phone.

The photos appeared flawless.

During the days of his recovery, Dylan Paxton also sent people to visit, like a benevolent elder, showing great concern.

Everything seemed normal.

But when he returned to Kingsford, what he heard were two completely different versions.

The two realities collided fiercely in his mind, giving him a splitting headache.

"Elias, Elias?"

Iris Paxton gently shook him back to his senses.

"Is it the headache again? The doctor advised you to take your injections on time, I’ll get your medicine."

Iris Paxton’s eyes were glazed with a layer of moisture.

Elias Langley did not refuse. Erin Thorne fetched the injection and administered it.

But Elias Langley remained silent and withdrawn, not uttering a word, and after the injection, he returned to his own room and shut the door.

Sebastian Sinclair returned to the Nivoria Clinical Research Center’s ward with even deeper worries.

Juliana was just waking up.

When she opened her eyes, she was met with her mother’s anxious face.

"You’re awake, awake! Juliana, you finally woke up..." Mrs. Sinclair immediately leaned over to hold her daughter’s hand, her voice choked with emotion, "You frightened mom."

Juliana, however, showed little reaction, gently withdrew her hand from the other’s grasp.

Her gaze swept around the ward, passing over her mother, landing on the newly entered Sebastian Sinclair and Raine Kane.

She tried to sit up.

Mrs. Sinclair hurriedly reached out to help, but Juliana avoided her extended hand.

Seeing this, Sebastian Sinclair stepped briskly forward, one hand securely supporting her back, the other hand holding her arm, his voice soft.

"Slow down, you are carrying a child now, don’t make large movements."

Juliana’s body visibly stiffened, looked at her father with disbelief.

Could she really be pregnant?

How was it possible?

"How... long has it been?"

She instinctively placed a hand on her abdomen.

Sebastian Sinclair propped a pillow behind her back, then sat down by the bed, showing a rare smile.

"Over five weeks, and it’s twins."

That would mean she conceived in the days following reuniting with Elias Langley.

But Juliana still found it a bit unbelievable.

Mrs. Sinclair saw her puzzlement and spoke beside her, "I suspect it might be related to the potion you drank from the witch doctor there; although some things are beyond current scientific explanation, there are indeed instances where the effects exceed normal expectations. But for the mother, it’s not necessarily good."

"So," fearing Mrs. Sinclair might reveal the truth, Sebastian Sinclair quickly interrupted her, "during this period, you must listen to your mother. She will take care of your daily life and arrange for necessary tests and treatments so that you and the kids can be safe and well."

Thus, Sebastian Sinclair lightly glossed over the risks of her pregnancy.

Juliana’s hand remained on her abdomen.

She was silent for a moment, then nodded, almost as a form of acquiescence.

The next moment, her gaze fell on Raine Kane.

"Did you find out everything I asked you to?"

Raine Kane stood at the foot of the bed, nodded.

"The woman is called Iris Paxton, two years older than you, Sean Paxton’s sister."

Juliana frowned, "When did Sean Paxton have a sister? Felicity never mentioned it, are they from the same parents?"

"Iris Paxton’s birth is a bit peculiar. Her mother was pregnant with her for less than a month when her father suddenly abandoned the family and went to a monastery in the south to become a monk, never to return. Shortly after her birth, her mother abandoned her to the Paxton Family and went to a Daoist temple in the outskirts, where she is now a nun in training."

"Dylan Paxton took over the guardianship of the siblings, but he treated them very differently. Sean Paxton was kept by his side and personally groomed, but Iris Paxton, just one year old, was sent to the Zenthian Sea. She is now a pillar of an opera troupe there, yet her background is as clean as a blank sheet, showing no interaction with The Paxton."

"No interaction?" Juliana sneered, "Whether or not it seems so, she is a tool Dylan Paxton uses to win over Elias Langley."

"So, Juliana," Sebastian Sinclair finally asked as a father, "what do you plan to do next?"

The light in Juliana’s eyes gathered gradually, her expression resolute.

"For the sake of the children in my belly and for Elias Langley after he regains his memory, I cannot back down."

She withdrew her gaze and looked at Sebastian Sinclair.

"Dad, my pregnancy must not be known to anyone, nor can the fact that I am your daughter be discovered by The Paxton and Elias Langley; this is a battle I must win, not lose."

Sebastian Sinclair, deeply moved, held her hand.

"Alright, whatever you do, always remember, the Sinclair Family is your support."

Juliana’s nose tingled slightly as she nodded forcefully.

She spent three days in the Nivoria Clinical Research Center for fetal protection.

During these three days, Mrs. Sinclair acted swiftly, gathering core forces to establish a top-tier medical team composed entirely of loyal confidantes.

On the afternoon of the third day, just after receiving an IV, Raine Kane hurriedly entered.

"Sister Juliana, bad news, Mr. Langley brought that woman home again, and this time she plans to stay."

Juliana’s eyes deepened like a cold pool.

Back then, Evan Grant also let Stella Windsor into their house.

At the time, she was still inexperienced and hesitant, but even so, Stella Windsor didn’t gain any advantage. Things are different now; who is Iris Paxton?

"Prepare the car," Juliana ordered decisively.

Returning to Number 17, Darroway Street.

Upon entering, she saw Iris Paxton standing in front of the master bedroom door, speaking to Steward Fay, "I really like this bed inside, please have someone change all the bedding and covers, I’ll be sleeping here from now on."
