Chapter 204: Against A God [Bonus Chapter]

Silas stared at the god with his jaw clenching tight.

If Silas was considered one of the most handsome men on Earth as of right now, then the god was simply leagues above him.

The deity’s features were so flawless and so mathematically perfect, that it actively commanded the eye to stare.

And that realization pissed Silas off even more.

’Why is this guy so beautiful anyway?!’ Silas thought furiously, his ego taking a direct and completely unnecessary hit. ’He’s a literal pile of dirt! He has no right looking like a damn supermodel!’

The sandstorm around the god’s feet howled louder, whipping across the dunes.

"Come!" Ititus ordered them, extending all four of his perfect, golden arms in a gesture of absolute supremacy. "Face the wrath of the Sands!"

The surviving Valoria Lords, driven by survival instinct and burning outrage, didn’t hesitate.

"Kill him!" Valerius roared with his mythril sword glowing with violent green wind mana.

As the other Lords aggressively charged in his direction, Silas held his ground for a fraction of a second as he didn’t rush in blindly.

Silas wanted information before anything.

’System,’ Silas made a rapid inquiry through his interface. ’Is it mathematically possible for this coalition to defeat Ititus in open combat, even if it is just a fragmented soul left over from the Ascension War?’

A translucent blue tab instantly materialized in front of his retinas.

[System Inquiry Received.]

[Analyzing Combat Variables...]

[Result: Negative. It is quite impossible for your current coalition to defeat this entity in a war of attrition.]

Silas gritted his teeth.

He completely expected that answer. Even a shattered, weakened fragment of a true deity was still a deity.

There was a fundamental reason why gods were considered absolute freaks of nature in the Sovereign Realm.

Their mana capacity, physical density, and elemental absolute-control were completely beyond mortal parameters.

However, the System interface didn’t close. The text rapidly updated, displaying highly classified information.

[However, Entity ’Ititus’ has currently broken two administrative rules of the Sovereign Realm.]

[Rule Violation 1: When a Secret Realm is formally established and bound to the Sovereign Realm itself, the deity or owner of the Realm must be completely deceased. In Ititus’s case, he illegally left a living sentient part of his divine soul actively maintaining the core. The Council of Deities was initially willing to overlook this minor infraction.]

[Rule Violation 2: Entity ’Ititus’ is currently attempting to directly murder the participants inside his Secret Realm without the use of authorized trials, riddles, or monsters. Direct divine intervention against mortal challengers is a violation of the Sovereign Treaty.]

Silas’s eyes widened as he read the glowing blue text.

[The Council of Deities has formally registered this violation. They have instantly authorized and sent a nearby active Deity to completely destroy this Secret Realm and permanently execute Entity ’Ititus’.]

Silas’s heart hammered against his ribs. A true active deity was coming to wipe the floor with the sand god?

’System,’ Silas asked rapidly through his thoughts, ignoring the chaotic battle raging fifty yards away. ’What deity was it? Who is coming?’

There was a small, agonizing loading prompt on the screen.

[...]

[The Executioner dispatched by the Council is Thor, the Daughter of Odin. Estimated Time of Arrival: Within a few minutes.]

Upon confirming that name, Silas let out a long slow breath.

Thor.

The Daughter of Odin. If even a fraction of the Norse mythology he knew from Earth held true in this realm, Ititus was about to be turned into a glass parking lot.

Silas sighed, his golden-ringed eyes snapping away from the System tab and focusing dead ahead on the beautiful four-armed god currently batting away Valerius’s wind strikes like annoying flies.

A cold smirk slowly stretched across Silas’s face.

’A few minutes,’ Silas thought. ’However I really need to ensure that I get the absolute last hit on that guy even after Thor arrives.’

If he could legally get the killing blow on a literal god... even a weakened fragment of one... who knew what kind of astronomical UP he would receive?

It would be a monumental amount of power.

Aeliana appeared silently right next to him, her eyes glowing with fierce devotion as a condensed spear of starlight was already humming between her pale hands.

Silas looked at his Hero and they didn’t need to speak. They simply nodded at each other in perfect unison.

BOOOOOOM!

Silas and Aeliana violently pushed off the sand as they rushed forward to join the fray however they were behind and as a result, the Spear Guy arrived first.

"For my Rhino, you golden freak!" he screamed.

He aggressively thrust his hand forward, casting Polymer Extension.

His heavy iron spear violently stretched and whipped through the air like a lethal rubber band as the hooked blade wrapped securely around the god’s lower right arm, attempting to bind the limb.

"Pathetic," Ititus scoffed. The god didn’t even try to pull away as he merely flexed his golden bicep and the density of his sand body, instantly snapping the thick iron spear in half with a loud sound.

CRACK!

"Hah..."

But the Spear Lord’s attack was just a distraction.

ZZZZZZZT!

Harper blurred into existence directly above the god’s head.

She had completely activated her blood magic as her pale skin was sparking violently and her purple eyes glowed like twin supernovas as she moved with speed faster than she had moved before.

"Fulgur Execution!" Harper roared.

She drove both of her hands downward, unleashing a catastrophic hyper-condensed pillar of purple lightning directly onto the god’s perfect blond head.

BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!

The electrical voltage was so intense that the air violently superheated with the ozone cracking like a whip.

Ititus raised his upper left arm, catching the lightning pillar directly in his bare golden palm.

The electrical current violently grounded itself through his body, turning the sand in his arm into glowing, superheated glass, but he didn’t even flinch.

FWOOSH!

While the god was distracted by the lightning, Seraphina arrived on his right flank.

The fiery noblewoman was smiling as her crimson hair had turned entirely silver with the intricate runic mark of her Great Spirit burning violently across her face.

She was begrudgingly forcing her Spirit to perform a combined attack with the rest of the coalition.

"Burn to ash!" Seraphina shrieked, her voice layered with the deep resonance of the Primordial Fire entity.

WHOOOOSH!

She unleashed a massive swirling torrent of pure white-hot solar flames directly at the god’s torso.

The power of the attack was astronomical, instantly flash-melting the sand dunes around them into bubbling pools of liquid glass.

On the completely opposite side of the battlefield, Elora and her summoned Frost Mage Hero were coordinating their assault.

"Glacial Confinement!" Elora commanded with her blond hair whipping around her face as she slammed her hands into the sand.

Her Frost Mage echoed the chant as a massive rapidly expanding wave of ultra-dense blue frost violently raced across the desert floor, completely freezing the sand and aggressively encasing Ititus’s legs in thick unbreakable pillars of ice, attempting to lock him in place while Seraphina roasted his upper body.

Valerius wasn’t idle either. He was hovering thirty feet in the air with his mythril sword glowing with terrifying green light.

"Tempest Severance!" Valerius roared, swinging his blade in a massive horizontal arc.

He unleashed a barrage of pressurized razor-sharp wind blades designed to slice through the god’s four arms.

WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!

And then, Silas, Aeliana, and Mia arrived at the frontline.

Mia was perched securely on Silas’s shoulder.

She didn’t use a massive flashy area-of-effect spell as she pointed her tiny index finger directly at the god’s chest.

"Water Snipe." Mia whispered.

SHWK!

A condensed microscopic needle of heavy water shot from her fingertip at Mach 4.

It possessed the cutting power of a diamond saw. The water needle completely pierced the god’s golden chest, blowing a small, clean hole straight through his torso.

’I’m not too worried, a deity should be on their way by now.’ Silas thought

"Arcane Bombardment!" Aeliana said, hovering right beside Silas using the new spell her Grand Aunt taught her last night.

She drew heavily upon the near-limitless stamina of her Genesis Rune as she thrust her pale hands forward, unleashing a deafening continuous torrent of hyper-dense starlight spheres.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The orbital bombardment slammed directly into the god’s face and chest, the concussive explosions tearing massive chunks of golden sand away from his flawless body.

And right in the center of the chaos, utilizing the openings created by the barrage, Silas was putting in work.

Silas blitzed into close-quarters combat.

He completely ignored the heat of Seraphina’s flames and the freezing cold of Elora’s ice as his Gold Core aura flared internally, making him much stronger.

His mythril longsword moving with terrifying precision.

KRA-SLASH! SHWK! CLANG!

Silas ducked under a massive golden fist with his blade entirely coated in cutting water mana.

He swung upward, cleanly slicing off the god’s lower left arm.

BAM!

He violently pivoted, driving his boot into the god’s knee joint to shatter the frozen ice, before executing a devastating horizontal cleave that tore deeply into Ititus’s abdomen.

SHHHH!

For the first sixty seconds of the chaotic multi-angled assault, everybody was pulling their best.

They were taking out sand clones the microsecond they formed, shattering glass constructs, and dealing massive, coordinated damage.

At first, it genuinely looked like they were dominating the deity. The god was missing an arm, his chest was riddled with holes, and his golden sand was actively melting into slag.

But then, Ititus sighed.

"You mortals are incredibly annoying," the god muttered, his divine voice completely devoid of pain or exertion.

The god decided to get serious. And when a deity gets serious, the laws of physics simply cease to exist.

KRA-THOOM!

Ititus casually stomped his golden foot against the desert floor.

A massive omni-directional tide of solid golden sand violently erupted outward from his body in a three-hundred-and-sixty-degree shockwave.

The force was astronomical and completely unblockable as the sand tide knocked aside a whole lot of the Lords like ragdolls.

Spear Guy was violently launched into a sand dune.

Valerius’s wind shield shattered instantly, sending the blonde noble spinning through the air.

Harper’s lightning was grounded, and she was blown backward across the glass.

Silas, Aeliana, and Mia were forced to violently disengage, skidding backward fifty yards just to avoid being crushed by the tidal wave of grit.

When the sand tide cleared, Ititus’s body had completely regenerated.

His severed arm was back, his chest was flawless, and his golden hair caught the sunlight.

Only one Lord refused to be blown away...

Seraphina.

The silver-haired proud World Council Magistrate’s daughter held her ground, her boots melting the sand beneath her.

She utilized the maximum output of her Primordial Fire Spirit, completely ignoring the sheer disparity in their power levels.

"I am not afraid of dirt!" Seraphina screamed, violently launching herself directly at the god.

Seraphina utilized her flames flawlessly with her fists moving in a flurry of white-hot strikes.

She drove a blazing right hook into the god’s jaw, following up with a spinning crescent kick that unleashed a wave of solar fire across his chest.

BOOM! CRASH! FWOOSH!

But Ititus was a four-armed god of war.

The Sand God effortlessly parried a white-hot punch with his upper right arm, completely ignoring the heat.

With his lower left arm, he drove a devastating fist directly into Seraphina’s stomach.

"Guh!" Seraphina coughed violently, her silver hair whipping forward as the wind was knocked from her lungs.

Before she could recover, Ititus stepped inside her guard. He used his upper left arm to violently swat her flaming dagger out of her hand, and then he struck.

With his massive flawless golden upper right hand, the god aggressively grabbed Seraphina directly by the throat.

SQUEEZE!

"Come on..."

He effortlessly lifted the struggling, kicking woman entirely off the ground, holding her up by the neck with a single hand.

Seraphina gasped for air with her hands desperately clawing at his golden wrist, her white-hot flames sputtering and dying out against the suffocating density of his divine grip.

Ititus held her suspended in the air, his impossibly beautiful face breaking into a dark and arrogant smirk.

Even gods were allowed to be lustful.
