Chapter 174: The Secret Realm Of Ititius [XIII / Bonus Chapter]
"Mages, hit it with moisture!" the spear-wielding Lord shouted frantically from behind his rhino. "Turn its sand to mud! Disable its joints!"
A Hero who was a water mage stepped forward from the backline. He rapidly chanted, raising his wooden staff to the sky.
"Gather the weeping sky, drown the earth!" the mage shouted, casting a high-tier, localized rain spell.
A dark storm cloud rapidly formed directly over the Guardian’s head, and heavy torrential rain began to fall, aiming to saturate the monster’s sandy exterior however the monster didn’t dodge the rain.
It simply looked up at the cloud.
It bent its thick sandy knees, leaped thirty feet straight up into the air with terrifying leg strength, and violently stabbed its staff directly into the very center of the magical cloud.
SHWK!
The density of the absolute-zero ice weapon literally punctured the magical structure in the middle.
The magic circle of the cloud violently destabilized, bursting apart into a massive wave of harmless white mist before the rain could even soak the monster’s shoulders.
’I have to seize this opportunity...’
Harper seized the opening as the heavy Guardian landed back on the glass.
"Fulgur Strike!"
She fired a massive, blinding blast of purple lightning directly into its chest.
At the same time, the other Lords attacked it with a barrage of explosive fireballs and wind slices.
The clearing became a deafening warzone of exploding magic, blinding light, and flying sand.
All the while, Valerius chuckled from the safety of the back of the stone.
"Look at them burn their mana reserves..." Valerius smirked, leaning his armored shoulder against the sandstone. "We just need to wait and take it and let them wear down its regeneration cycles. The first one there to snatch the core out of its chest when it shatters gets the seed."
"Agreed," Silas nodded, his eyes tracking the Guardian’s movements through the smoke and fire but in the middle of the frantic fight, the Guardian suddenly stopped swinging its ice staff.
It completely ignored Harper’s secondary bolt of lightning with the electricity simply grounding out harmlessly through its thick sandy legs into the glass floor.
It slowly turned its featureless sand face away from the main raid group, looking directly over toward the massive boulder where Silas and Valerius were hiding.
"People who are hiding are nothing more than cowards," the Guardian stated, its grinding voice echoing across the chaotic arena, perfectly audible over the explosions.
"It can talk!"
"Damn, who’s hiding!"
"Is it those two fuckers from before?!"
Valerius’s eyes widened in horror.
"Fuck..."
The Guardian raised its snow staff, pointing the jagged tip directly at their boulder.
It didn’t cast an ice spell as it actively manipulated the ambient atmospheric pressure of the desert itself.
"Begone!"
It blasted a massive wind wave directly at their position.
The invisible shockwave slammed into the boulder with the force of a detonating artillery shell.
BOOM!
The impact cracked the massive sandstone rock clean in half, sending massive chunks of debris flying in all directions.
However, due to the strange erratic spatial distortion of the Secret Realm’s physics or perhaps just the sheer targeted malice of the dead god’s spell... the shockwave didn’t hit everyone evenly.
It completely bypassed Valerius, Mia, and Aeliana with the force flowing harmlessly around them like a stream around a rock in a river.
It only caught Silas.
The Lord was violently ripped from the ground, caught perfectly in the dead center of the ascending violently swirling wind tunnel.
"Fuck!" Silas yelled at the top of his lungs as he was forcefully ejected from his hiding spot with his trench coat whipping wildly around him.
He was thrown through the air, soaring helplessly in a massive parabolic arc over the heads of the battling Lords below.
He sailed entirely over the dunes, completely out of the arena bounds with the crushing G-force pressing him against the sky before gravity finally reasserted itself and he began descending.
CRASH!
He landed incredibly heavily on the ground, his body absorbing the brunt of the impact as his heavy boots carved a deep twenty-foot trench into the slope of a distant sand crater.
"Fucking hell..."
Silas groaned loudly with his entire skeletal structure rattling from the sheer force of the fall.
He pushed himself up onto his hands and knees, spitting a mouthful of dry bitter sand onto the dirt.
He was quite far away from the arena place now, surrounded entirely by tall, silent dunes that completely muffled the sounds of the ongoing raid.
"Fucking wind magic..." Silas muttered darkly, rubbing his sore bruised shoulder as he stood up.
He dusted the loose dirt off his dark trench coat, rolling his neck until it popped, and looked around to get his bearings.
Then, he saw something.
Fifty feet away, partially obscured by the shadow of a sloping wind-carved dune, a woman was squatting in the sand.
Her crimson-scaled leather armor was unbuckled with her expensive enchanted utility belts discarded casually on the dirt beside her.
She had her dark leather trousers pulled down to her knees as she was currently finishing up a very private and necessary biological function with the last bits of pee coming down and soaking into the dry desert sand beneath her boots.
Silas froze, completely paralyzed by the absurdity of the situation.
Because of his elevated angle on the slope and the harsh unforgiving amber light of the desert, Silas could clearly see Seraphina’s incredibly sexy and flawlessly toned legs.
The smooth pale curve of her thighs contrasted sharply against the crimson armor, and the curvaceous athletic figure of a woman who had spent her entire life training in high-tier physical combat was fully exposed.
He could see everything...
Seraphina heard the crunch of sand beneath Silas’s boots and she slowly turned her head over her shoulder.
Her fiery red eyes locked directly onto Silas Graves’s golden-ringed eyes.
For one long suffocating second, neither of them breathed.
The world-ending humiliation hit Seraphina like a physical blow to the stomach as her noble face instantly flushed a brilliant hot shade of red that completely rivaled the color of her fiery hair.
"S-s-s-silas G-g-graves!" Seraphina stuttered wildly with her voice cracking in a high-pitched squeak as genuine furious tears of embarrassment began gathering in the corners of her eyes. "Y-you... what are you... you perverted—!"
Silas took a slow calculated step backward, raising both of his hands in a gesture of non-combative surrender.
"O-oh..." Silas said brilliantly.
He didn’t try to explain the physics of the wind wave and he didn’t offer a polite apology.
He immediately turned on his heel, dug his boots into the sand, and began running for his life!
Behind him, chaos erupted.
Seraphina frantically pulled up her trousers as her hands were shaking so violently with rage that she almost tripped.
She snatched her curved superheated dagger from the sand as her aura flared with terrifying unrestrained murderous intent.
She chased directly after him, sprinting across the dunes like a vengeful bloodthirsty demon.
"I hate you!" Seraphina shouted at the top of her lungs with her voice echoing across the wasteland as she hurled a roaring blast of fire magic that barely missed Silas’s head. "I hate you! I hate you!"
Silas sprinted up the steep slope of a massive dune with his boots kicking up heavy clouds of sand as he ducked under another roaring fireball that seared the air above him.
’Why the hell is she going after me?!’ Silas thought frantically. ’It’s a mistake! I didn’t mean to look! I literally got thrown here by a giant sand monster! This woman is completely insane!’
Back at the shattered boulder overlooking the arena, the dust finally settled from the wind blast.
Aeliana coughed, waving the thick cloud of sand away from her flawless face.
She looked to her right, where Silas had been crouching just seconds ago. The space was completely empty.
"Lord Sy?" Aeliana called out, her voice laced with sudden concern.
She immediately realized he had been launched entirely out of the combat zone so Aeliana’s glowing silver eyes narrowed with her loyalty completely overriding her previous annoyance with him.
She didn’t hesitate for a single microsecond.
Aeliana teleported instantly with her body dissolving into a brilliant flash of blue-white starlight, completely leaving Mia and Valerius behind to face the music of the raid.
Valerius stepped out from behind the broken rock with his mythril sword drawn as a deeply exhausted sigh escaped his lips.
"Well, so much for waiting," Valerius muttered, cracking his neck from side to side.
He held his ground as the battle in the arena fully escalated into a chaotic bloodbath.
"Let’s show this pile of dirt how a Lord fights!" Valerius roared with his aura flaring green.
Valerius and Mia charged directly into the fray, seamlessly joining Elora, Harper, and the remaining Lords as they all jumped that monster.
"Rageeeee!"
The arrogant Lord with the spear yelled a command, pointing his weapon forward.
His massive plated rhino summon lowered its thick iron horn and charged the Guardian at full terrifying speed.
BOOM!
The Guardian didn’t even flinch.
It dropped its stance, caught the charging rhino directly by the horn with its free massive sandy hand with the abrasive grains grinding harshly against the metal plating, and brutally slammed its snow staff directly into the side of the beast’s skull.
The rhino let out an agonizing screech with its heavy legs buckling as it fell to its knees.
The physical force of the blow fractured its skull, bringing it near to death in a single devastating strike as its summoner desperately chanted to recall it before it shattered completely.
"Frail sparks!" the Guardian roared with its voice shaking the glass floor as it swung the staff in a wide, incredibly fast horizontal arc.
A Lord wielding dual iron axes, who had foolishly tried to flank the monster from the right blind spot, didn’t raise his guard in time.
KRA-THOOM!
The impact of the heavy ice staff violently crushed the Lord’s ribcage inward with a sickening crunch.
The Lord spat a massive geyser of dark crimson blood, dying instantly before his broken body even hit the glass ground.
His corpse dissolved into ambient particles as his Hero was forcibly unsummoned in a flash of dead light.
"Fuck!"
Julian shrieked in absolute terror, diving behind a rock and curling into a pathetic ball, completely abandoning the fight.
Because Maya and Jaxon weren’t here, the raid lacked a dedicated Vanguard tank to absorb the heavy kinetic blows. That highly dangerous duty fell entirely to Valerius.
And Valerius himself was excellent.
The gold-armored Lord moved like a literal hurricane.
It was clear to anyone with sense that nobody was using their full power yet as everyone was selfishly conserving their deepest mana reserves for the final, lethal strike to steal the seed but Valerius was still incredibly strong without his ultimate techniques.
He utilized his Wind Affinity flawlessly, channeling high-pressure gales directly into the soles of his boots to rapidly dash around the Guardian’s lumbering earth-shattering strikes.
WHOOSH!
Valerius dodged a downward smash that cracked the glass floor, pivoting cleanly on his heel.
He breathed in, drawing the air into his core, and completely dropped the atmospheric pressure around his blade.
"Vacuum Domain: Severing Gale!" Valerius commanded, his eyes glowing with fierce intensity.
He swung his mythril blade, unleashing a massive razor-sharp arc of compressed green wind.
The technique didn’t just push the sand... it completely severed the molecular bonds of the monster’s torso, slicing a deep gaping trench directly into the center of the Guardian’s chest.
SHWK!
Mia contributed heavily from his flank.
The little Grandmaster didn’t use massive flashy mana-draining spells.
"Heheh~"
She raised her small hands and fired hyper-pressurized microscopic jets of water... miniature Abyssal Severs the size of sewing needles that drilled straight through the Guardian’s knees and elbows, severely compromising its structural integrity and causing its heavy sand to clump and fall off in wet chunks.
"Fulgur Strike! Fulgur Strike! Fulgur Strike!"
Harper unleashed continuous deafening volleys of Fulgur Strikes with the thick purple lightning heavily scorching the Guardian’s remaining sand armor into patches of brittle black glass.
Elora stood back with her eyes glowing a chilling blue.
"Glacial Bind!"
The moment she uttered the spell, the ground beneath the monster began to freeze, locking its sandy boots securely to the floor.
Under the combined coordinated assault, the Guardian began to falter.
Its massive movements grew sluggish with the yellow sand beginning to heavily fall away from its internal core.
Of course, the divine monster was not that easily defeated.
