Before opening his eyes, Zuo Chengan already sensed that he was on a swaying vehicle.

Something furry brushed against his ankle—it had to be Mo Dou.

Taking a look around, he found himself seated in an open-air sightseeing car, the kind with no walls to block the wind. The vehicle was precariously navigating a path along a towering cliff!

With its open sides, the car let in a particularly refreshing breeze.

The road seemed man-made—rugged, uneven, and unusually narrow, barely wide enough for a single vehicle.

The wheels of the sightseeing car clung to the cliff's edge with only a hand's breadth to spare, a sight that sent chills down one's spine.

Zuo Chengan sat at the very back of the car, right next to the cliffside.

If he attempted to disembark from this side, there would be nowhere to place his foot—only a gaping void waiting to swallow him whole.

At his feet, Mo Dou sat happily panting with his tongue out, reveling in the wind's caress.

Beside him, Li Yueqiu gripped the handrails with white-knuckled desperation.

The moment she shook off the disorienting aftereffects of the teleportation, she realized their perilous position and refused to glance at the cliff's edge.

Across from them sat Zheng Ren.

Originally seated on the cliffside like Zuo Chengan, he had quickly scooted toward the relative safety of the inner edge, inching away as if his life depended on it.

Ahead of them, four members of the Tidal Surge Guild sat in pairs, seemingly more prepared for the ride.

Zuo Chengan surveyed the seats. As expected, there were no doors or safety belts.

Under normal circumstances, any driver navigating such treacherous terrain would take it slow, exercising extreme caution.

But the NPC driver? He floored the gas pedal, hurtling along the perilous mountain path at breakneck speed!

Li Yueqiu's eyes brimmed with tears, her cries of panic lost in the rushing wind as she clung desperately to the seat in front of her, internally screaming, This is it! Heaven has forsaken me!

Could this be the first challenge of the dungeon? Only those who managed to jump from the vehicle moments before it plummeted into the abyss would be allowed to proceed?

Was this what a Level 2 dungeon was like? Only the strong deserved to play?

In contrast, the four Tidal Surge members remained much calmer.

They seemed to have anticipated the situation, quickly pulling ropes from their game inventory to fasten themselves securely to the vehicle.

The leader, busy instructing his teammates, neglected his own safety.

When the driver abruptly took a sharp turn, the leader lost his balance—half of his body dangled dangerously outside the cart!

Had his quick-thinking teammate not grabbed hold of him, he would have been the dungeon's first casualty.

"Damn it! What kind of driving is this? Trying to get us all killed?"

Typically, players refrained from cursing at NPCs, wary of triggering unforeseen consequences.

But the Tidal Surge Guild had insider information.

They knew that upon entering the dungeon, they would find themselves on a fast-moving, open-air sightseeing vehicle—and that monsters would soon attack.

Hence, they had brought ropes as a precaution.

They were also aware that the mute NPC driver was nothing more than a placeholder.

Insults—or even pushing him off the car—wouldn't alter the journey, nor would it derail the vehicle.

After all, there was only one route to Sunlit Resort. It wasn't as if they could get lost.

The only issue was that all of the guild's intel on the dungeon came from a member who had used an item to exit midway.

Subsequent explorations by the guild had confirmed the accuracy of his information.

However, the longest anyone in the guild had stayed in the dungeon was two days.

Others had stayed longer, but they never returned—having perished inside.

Naturally, they hadn't brought back any new information. After all, items that could forcibly eject a player from a dungeon were mostly one-time use and came with a hefty price tag.

Those who were forced to stay in the dungeon might not have been seeking more information. They simply couldn't leave.

Thus, Tidal Surge had only a rough guide for the first two days of the dungeon. What lay beyond remained a mystery.

The minor incident concluded with the driver remaining silent and continuing to speed along as if nothing had happened.

As they approached several sharp turns, Zheng Ren's face turned pale.

"Brother Zuo, aren't you scared at all?"

This was his first time in such a large-scale dungeon, with cliffs and dense forests, almost like a small world. Previous dungeons had been either a single corridor or a restaurant.

The two weren't even comparable.

Zuo Chengan cast a casual glance at the dense cluster of eyeballs floating in the air, obscuring much of the cliff's view.

"Out of sight, out of mind."

The eyeballs swarmed so thickly that they completely blocked the scenery.

"Then, B-Bro... Brother Zuo, are we going to slide off the cliff with the car?"

Zuo Chengan took a moment to glance at the overwhelmingly dense barrage of bullet comments.

He replied offhandedly, "It won't. Even if the driver closed his eyes, the car wouldn't fall."

Because the cart was moving on its own—the driver was just a prop, pretending to steer.

Something in Zuo Chengan's tone calmed Zheng Ren.

Despite knowing that this was Zuo Chengan's first time in the dungeon too, he felt inexplicably reassured.

Gathering his courage, he even slid over to the seat near the cliff to enjoy the rare natural beauty.

Of course, he still held onto the rail tightly. The car might not fall, but that didn't mean he wouldn't.

After several perilous sharp turns, the sightseeing vehicle continued steadily along the road.

The players, no longer as frightened as when they had first entered the dungeon, began to relax slightly.

That was when the NPC driver made his next move.

Taking both hands off the wheel, he rummaged through a basket beside the driver's seat.

The players' nerves stretched taut again as they watched this.

One of the Tidal Surge players sitting closest to the driver was on the verge of grabbing the wheel when the NPC finally produced a battered loudspeaker.

Pressing the play button, the loudspeaker emitted the garbled voice of an old man promoting the resort.

"Welcome, esteemed guests, to Sunlit Resort! Here, you'll enjoy jungle treasure hunts, canyon rafting, ancient ruins exploration, bonfire parties, and more! Luxury accommodations await you: ten days, nine nights, all-inclusive food and lodging! Satisfaction guaranteed!"

The elder's missing teeth lent the announcement a lisping quality, further muddled by a thick dialect.

Most players couldn't make any sense of it.

Zuo Chengan redirected his attention to the bullet comments, where diligent viewers gleefully deciphered the NPC's spiel and provided translations.

Speaking of viewers, there seemed to be more of them now, their eyeballs clustering in the air like an overwhelming storm cloud.

Perhaps it was because this was a newly released dungeon with a high mortality rate, which greatly appealed to the audience.

The density of the floating eyeballs blocked out every bit of the natural scenery, leaving not even a single leaf visible.

This might be a problem later, Zuo Chengan mused. If the eyeballs become this obstructive in higher-level dungeons, won't they block the entire path? Is there a way to toggle them off and only keep the bullet comments visible?
