Chapter 4350: Tricolor Divine Energy

Bang!

Lu Yin struck with a thunderous boom. Caught off guard, Ni Ren was driven back by the punch. The long white blades whirled around the creature, chopping at Lu Yin. “You’re courting death!”

Lu Yin teleported away. Heaven’s Sight: Pressure Over All Living Beings.

Purple pressure instantly manifested, but Ni Ren completely ignored it. The gap between the two was far too great. Ni Ren was a two-law Immortal, and its two white blades were unbelievably sharp. In the face of their attacks, Lu Yin would not dare to even look at the blade edges without the black plates of armor.

Ni Ren’s own defenses were also terrifyingly strong.

It dodged the Dao Sword and then split the river of sword intent in two. Lu Yin’s scythe was unable to even touch the white blades after they merged with Ni Ren’s Rifted Firmament. Again and again, Lu Yin attacked, but again and again, his attacks shattered beneath the white blades.

Ni Ren wanted nothing more than for Lu Yin to fight it to the death. No matter how strong an Aberrant might be, could they ever surpass it? That was simply impossible.

Heaven’s Sight locked onto Ni Ren. Lu Yin’s body withered and recovered in repeated cycles as he kept absorbing damage, right up to his maximum limit. Another teleportation delivered him right before Ni Ren: Crow Immobilization.

Crow Immobilization required eye contact, but even if Lu Yin could not see Ni Ren’s eyes, he had no doubt that it was staring at him, unless it had been on guard against Crow Immobilization all along.

Ni Ren instantly froze, rendered unable to move at all. Starting from the Heaven’s Sight on Lu Yin’s brow, strange black lines spread towards Ni Ren, freezing space.

How is this possible? What power is this? How can he actually control me?

Lu Yin lunged at Ni Ren, clenched his fist, struck, and released his full power.

Boom!

There was a deafening blast. Ni Ren’s body twisted, the cement that formed it ripping open. A violent surge of power erupted behind it, shattering the void and twisting the visible cosmos before finally spinning into a terrifying force that spiraled out in all directions far in the distance.

Lu Yin lifted his head to stare at Ni Ren.

His punch had not completely torn through its body. Lu Yin’s punch was not enough to kill it, and it had even shoved it out of the range of Lu Yin’s Crow Immobilization.

Despite not being heavily wounded, Ni Ren was shaken. This was the first time that Lu Yin had dealt any damage to it at all, and it was not a small bit. In particular, Crow Immobilization was absolutely horrifying.

What kind of power was that, exactly?

A white blade chopped down. Lu Yin dodged. Not a grave wound? Fine. If once isn’t enough, then twice. If twice isn’t enough, then thrice.

He refused to believe that he was incapable of smashing Ni Ren apart.

In the middle of outer space, Lu Yin and Ni Ren met once more. Lu Yin kept gathering power with Extremes Must Be Reversed. Ni Ren, now wary of Crow Immobilization, incessantly slashed out with its blades. However, some of the slashes were directly blocked by Manifestation Beyond the Pupil, and again and again, it failed to break through.

Lu Yin successfully used Crow Immobilization for a second time, freezing Ni Ren and delivering a full-force punch. Visible tears spread further across Ni Ren’s body, but it was anyone’s guess as to how long it would take for Lu Yin to punch completely through the creature.

A gate suddenly appeared, and Ba Se’s voice came from it. “Lu Yin, the war is about to end.”

Lu Yin’s eyes were blood shot. “Wait until I kill Ni Ren.”

“The war is about to end. There is no need.”

“Wait until I kill Ni Ren!”

Ni Ren sneered. “Kill me? Dream on! Do you really think that your strength is enough to kill me? You don’t understand the difference between us at all.

“It’s too bad the war is over, or else I’d love to kill you myself!”

Lu Yin stared at Ni Ren while still gathering power with Extremes Must Be Reversed. He was out of time. He did not know what would happen when the war ended.

As expected, the end of this war was decided by Ni Bieluo.

Lu Yin had dragged Ni Ren away, while Ni Bieluo had been left to deal with Old Man Hehe. There was no time to worry about anyone else from Obscura; it was afraid that Ni Ren would be killed.

Obscura itself did not want to fight the Mudwater Dominion to the death. The nature of the Mudwater Dominion’s creatures meant that, once they latched onto something, they became endless trouble. Ni Bieluo was capable of dragging down at least one of Obscura’s supreme experts with it.

But Lu Yin needed to kill Ni Ren in order to comfort the Mountain Sword Sect's ancestor’s departed spirit.

With that thought, he released his inner universe. Three stars of divine energy all began to rotate, and three lines emerged: red, silver, and blue. They wound around each other, and terrifying divine energy like nothing Lu Yn had ever experienced before erupted and surged into his body. It was so vast and violent that it instantly inundated his consciousness.

In the past, just the red and silver lines together had been beyond Lu Yin’s ability to control. This time, he had released three lines.

As the divine energy flooded through him, Lu Yin threw his head back and roared. Dazzling light filled his eyes until his pupils vanished. From his mouth, a beam of divine energy pierced the cosmos, rising upwards before spilling back down as tricolored divine energy. Lu Yin himself fell into a clump of tricolored clouds. Divine energy became tangible as it boiled and surged. It looked like a cocoon, like something was being born.

Ni Ren was stunned as it stared at Lu Yin. What has this Aberrant done?

The sudden burst of divine energy gave it chills. Looking at Lu Yin within the clouds of divine energy, it actually felt fear.

No. Even if it did not know what this human was doing, Ni Ren would not let him succeed.

With that, a long white blade slashed out, cutting through the clouds of divine energy. The blade edge pushed through to cut into Lu Yin’s body, yet it failed to cut him in half.

Ni Ren was horrified. This was simply impossible. How was a mere Aberrant actually able to endure a slash of a civilizational weapon that resonated with a cosmic law? Impossible!

Before, he had clearly not even dared to touch the edge of his blades, so how could this be?

The white blade chopped down again in repeated slashes. Each blow ripped Lu Yin’s body open, but none managed to fully cut him apart. Every slash carved opened deep wounds across his body, and blood streamed from them, quickly dying his entire body red.

Lu Yin remained shrouded within the clouds of divine energy. They shifted from red to silver, from silver to blue, and then from blue back to red. They ceaselessly shifted colors until all three colors erupted at once. Lu Yin’s eyes snapped open, revealing that they had become crimson. With a fierce roar, the divine energy exploded, blasting Ni Ren back.

It warily stared at Lu Yin. The two blades at its side faced outward, aimed at a distant location. For the first time, Ni Ren felt pressure from Lu Yin.

The human before Ni Ren was completely different before. He had crimson eyes and a black line trailing down from his left eye. His hair was like a surging sea of red, silver, and blue, with mist rising from it. Behind him, a tricolored universe seemed to take form, making it look as if he had just emerged from another world.

The sleeves covering his arms had shattered. Vicious stripes of three different colors now decorated his arms, and tricolored clouds could be seen covering his chest. He seemed to have stepped out of a sea of blood. Tricolored radiance spread out from him, rippling and shaking the void as it formed a vertical tricolored lake.

At that moment, Ni Ren felt as if it was facing a monster. Although Lu Yin was not an Immortal, he seemed like the incarnation of divine energy itself. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

It swung the white long blade and slashed down. Whatever you are, I’ll chop you to pieces. Without that cocoon now, let’s see how you can block me!

The white blades slashed at Lu Yin. Then, to Ni Ren’s utter shock, they directly struck his shoulders. There was no attempt to block at all. The human allowed both of the blades to land. Even so, the results proved to be the same as before: the blades still failed to fully cut Lu Yin apart. He raised a hand and thrust a palm at Ni Ren. Tricolored divine energy coiled around his five fingers, transforming into a beam that shot forward.

Ni Ren quickly dodged. The beam of tricolored divine energy shot past its side, striking the void and opening up an endless darkness. Immediately following that, Lu Yin’s hand swept to the side, shifting the beam with it. It seemed that he intended to slice the entire cosmos apart.

Ni Ren failed to dodge in time and was struck by the tricolored divine energy. Its body caved in, just like when Lu Yin had fully released Extremes Must Be Reversed at maximum charge. There was a tearing sensation. Ni Ren hurriedly slashed one of its blades sideways across Lu Yin’s neck.

At this moment, Lu Yin’s mind was filled with thoughts of slaughter. He was nearly drowned by them. There was no technique or discipline to his fighting, no anticipation or evasion. The blade cut into his neck, but the decapitation Ni Ren anticipated still did not play out. Lu Yin stared at Ni Ren and simply fired another beam of divine energy.

The beams bombarded the void. Lu Yin thrust both of his hands forward at Ni Ren. No matter how it tried to dodge, it could not completely evade them. This scene felt familiar; when Ni Ren’s enemies dodged its blades, the same thing occurred. They could not block its attacks, only dodge them. However, it lacked the ability to teleport. In the blink of an eye, it was struck again and then battered repeatedly by the tricolored divine energy. Ni Ren was forced back again and again. At the same time, it manipulated its blades to attack Lu Yin, yet the human refused to retreat; he charged straight forward.

The long blades opened up more and more wounds on his body. His blood sprayed across the Aevum Inch. But Ni Ren was not doing well either. Divine energy had finally pierced its body, something that not even Lu Yin’s strongest attacks had managed before. Ni Ren could not endure and quickly retracted its blades to block Lu Yin’s attacks.

A beam of divine energy slammed into a long white blade, pushing it down. Lu Yin teleported over to Ni Ren and kicked. He fired divine energy from both hands to pin the blades in place, but even if his hands could not move, he still had his feet.

The vicious kick sent Ni Ren flying.

Not enough. Still not enough. Far from enough. Lu Yin’s consciousness had become completely blurred, yet he knew that he had to kill this enemy. This enemy was his only target.

He kicked again, stomped a foot down, and brutally trampled Ni Ren with a savage ferocity.

Ni Ren howled. Cement surged to envelop Lu Yin. He had no intention of dodging or avoiding it and simply allowed it to cover him. He then violently kicked again, blasting the cement apart. Ni Ren was wounded again, but it managed to seize the chance to cover Lu Yin and pull back its blades to retreat.

Divine energy arrived in an instant, and Ni Ren’s blades crossed in front of its body to block the attack.

Boom!

It was blasted away.

Lu Yin gave it no time to breathe. He raised his hands and threw palm strike after palm strike, continuously releasing blasts of divine energy. Ni Ren blocked with its twin blades while also pulling out white paper to draw Lu Yin’s image and erase him.

It looked back again. Hm? Why is there no effect?

Ni Ren could not believe this. It was impossible. It had clearly drawn Lu Yin’s image, so how could erasing him have no effect?

It was not that there was no effect, but rather that Lu Yin was not the one affected; it was the divine energy.

At this point it was hard to say if Ni Ren was dueling Lu Yin or the divine energy. Divine energy completely shrouded his form, giving birth to the current Lu Yin, and yet Lu Yin controlled the divine energy. Ni Ren could clearly sense that it was facing a monster. This was a monstrous, tricolored amalgamation of Obscura’s divine energy.

Bang!

The white paper was pierced. Ni Ren was stunned, and it stared at Lu Yin. Divine energy fell in front of its eyes. Long blades chopped down, but they only managed to cut about halfway through the beam of divine energy. The remaining half blasted Ni Ren away.

Lu Yin growled and teleported to get close to Ni Ren again. He threw a punch which was blocked by a blade. In front of him, the other blade chopped down, ripping his body open yet again. His other fist still struck Ni Ren, tearing its body apart. It was a chaotic fight, trading wound for wound. Lu Yin felt no pain. Because of Extremes Must Be Reversed, his body kept recovering and withering again and again. It was done out of pure instinct.

Ni Ren did not want to trade blows like this. Lu Yin was fighting on instinct alone, but Ni Ren was different. Once its blades no longer posed a lethal threat to Lu Yin, it lost all of its advantage over Lu Yin.

At this moment, Ni Ren just wanted to leave. This was not a battle that it wanted to fight.

At this moment, Lu Yin was not at all the opponent it had hoped for.
