Chapter 1938: Master of a Myriad Daos (I)

The Human King’s assessment of Li Hao was that the young man was heartless. However, Li Hao had never thought of himself in that light.

Granted, it was most difficult for someone to see themselves clearly. Li Hao simply felt that... as big as the universe was, there was no need to stay in one place. All corners of the chaos was his home. Where could he not go, and where could he not stay?

So what if they dominated the eastern region and even the entire chaos universe? Silver Moon would always be by his side. Was that being heartless?

Of course, it was fine even if Silver Moon wasn’t with him. They just needed to be safe. The young man was nostalgic when he thought of the world, but wasn’t reluctant to part with it. All good things had to come to an end. The universe was not at peace these days and Silver Moon did not have the ability to protect itself.

Hence, this was their arrangement.

If there came a day in which the world could protect itself, or if New Martial could find its footing in the chaos without the Human King, then they could all be free.

The Human King was imprisoning himself at the moment.

Of course, it was understandable that he wanted some comfort at home after nearly being beaten to death on an excursion. His teacher, friends, consort, and family could all console him. Whether it was the Martial King, Sword Sovereign, Human King Consort, or Ash Emperor, they could all cheer him up.

But if I fail in battle... who in Silver Moon can comfort me?

There’s been no one like that in the world for a very long time. My teacher can’t do it, either.

The eastern region was in an uproar!

Li Hao threaded through the world on his way to the alliance city of the mid worlds. He saw countless worlds in the middle of a migration. Those with chaos beasts depended on the beasts for manual labor. Those without had their powerhouses haul their worlds with all their might.

Worlds scattered throughout the area began to congregate. Some seventh and even eighth rank worlds gathered together for protection.

Mayhem was upon the eastern region!

It was even more tumultuous than the other three regions because too many eighth ranks had died in just a few short days. And now even Reincarnation was gone.

Of their sixteen eighth rank worlds, Reincarnation, Sun Moon, Earth Fissure, River, and Gemini were gone. From that group, Reincarnation, Sun Moon, and Gemini had ranked toward the top with multiple eighth ranks.

There were fifteen eighth ranks left from the eleven worlds still in the region. That was the sum total of all eighth ranks in the east.

Arctic Frost was now officially the top ranked. It had three eighth ranks, assuming that the two that’d traveled to the four regions could safely return.

New Martial had the Human King, Ash Emperor, Light, and Supreme Zhang. Some of their exalted emperors would certainly rise to seventh rank this time and become the foremost faction of the eastern region.

It was rather ludicrous that they’d become the number one faction of the region in such a matter-of-fact way just a few days after leaving the four regions. Taking down River and Sun Moon would ensure that they could produce many new seventh ranks, if not one new eighth rank.

......

Li Hao had reaped a great harvest this time as well. His side had taken four eighth ranks.

Drifting Life had self detonated, but the other three had fallen to Silver Moon weapons. Almost all of the vanquished’s dao strength was fully preserved.

Number Two had received Earth Fissure major world from Big Cat, whereas the young man had received the supreme’s book of dao. While it shouldn’t be the original, it was bound to be an exemplary copy.

Another key gain was the strength of order from the future. Even the tiniest sliver was enough. This was a brand new concept to Li Hao. It should already exist in present times, but this sliver of knowledge might give him new inspiration on how to convert unordered chaos dao into ordered dao strength.

While everyone had been injured in the fighting, the level of injury was nothing for powerhouses. His teacher had nearly died to Drifting Life’s palm strike, but was in good spirits nonetheless.

The Human King had lost his physical body in his struggle against the eighth ranks, but it looked like he would recover soon.

Li Hao had utilized a great deal of time. Although chaos tribulations were no longer a threat, it would consume too much lifespan if he used too much time. That wouldn’t be worth it.

The young man had a new understanding that time was a very unique and powerful dao. Why did it consume so much vitality each time it was employed? He could only say that since he wasn’t the creator, the dao didn’t fully belong to him. Hence, he had to pay a great price each time he sought to use it.

That shouldn’t be the case if he was the creator. Otherwise, where was the logic in his own dao consuming all of his lifespan? Not to mention, time was connected to life to begin with. How would it be easily depleted?

The sudden encounter gave Li Hao pause for thought. Although he was a seventh rank now, he wasn’t strong compared to his peers when he didn’t employ time. It could only be said that he was a person of distinction among seventh ranks, but he was far from being invincible!

It wasn’t that he lacked killing moves—the sword of calamity was very strong, but that no matter how strong they were, he wasn’t able to kill an eighth rank with one blow. That wouldn’t make any scientific sense, given that he only had one thousand worlds at present.

The strength that he could bring to bear at peak condition was far less than that of eighth rank. He wasn’t able to kill his opponent with any ultimate move, even if he combined a myriad of daos into one. That was out of the question.

He lacked strength, not technique!

And that person from the future who uses ordered dao...

Li Hao sank deep into thought when he considered the person from the future again. Did they come from the false chaos that he was yet to create? Since they were able to cultivate ordered strength, did that mean the chaos became ordered after he created the false chaos?

They also spoke of trouble that he’d left behind. What trouble?

Was that person seventh or eighth rank?

Judging from them beating Drifting Life back with one blow, they possessed eighth rank strength. But they might not be an eighth rank, so were they a seventh rank?

It was difficult to determine, given the difference in space time. Did this indicate that his false chaos could make it to seventh or eighth rank? Now that, sounded incredible.

Were these people born in the future, or were they born from the people that he wished to move over? How had he solved the problem of a life source in the false chaos?

Seeing that person steeled Li Hao’s resolve. I can do it. Although I don’t know how yet, I can do it. The only question I need to answer right now is how to ensure that life can be born in the false chaos?

Through time?

Various ideas entered Li Hao’s mind. The people around him stayed quiet—no one interrupted Li Hao’s musings.

The young man quickly came back to himself and glanced at those around him. “We obtained three eighth rank corpses and one eighth rank world from the last battle. Big Cat gave the world to Senior Number Two, so it should belong to the senior itself...”

Number Two rolled its eyes. ‘It should’? So you’re not going by the rules of that logic, are you?

Indeed, Li Hao was not.

“It hasn’t been long since Number Two joined us in reality.” Li Hao smiled, confirming the cat’s suspicions. “You won’t ascend to eighth rank after devouring an eighth rank world. It’d be a big waste to eat it right now, so I’d like to borrow it for a while. What does the senior think?”

“......” Number Two had nothing more to say. “Whatever you want!”

This kid!

“It’s not just this world, but the three corpses as well,” smiled Li Hao. “I’m going to officially raise Silver Moon to seventh rank!”

The group had no opinions otherwise about that decision. That would give them two seventh rank dao masters, two proper ones that could integrate together. It wouldn’t be just two seventh ranks born in a world.

Only Gan Wuliang and Hong Yitang greeted the announcement with shifting expressions.

“Silver Moon lacks a bit of energy to enter seventh rank,” Hong Yitang volunteered. “That’s one point. The other is that Gan Wuliang and I don’t have that much dao comprehension pertaining to seventh rank!”

This was his first time turning down Li Hao. He openly raised an objection instead of staying silent.

“My thoughts are that Ole Demon Yuan lacks energy after building his dao domain, but he’s good on dao comprehension! I’d like to recommend priority helping him and his dao domain to expand. That will complete his ascension as a seventh rank!”

Hong Yitang continued seriously when the young man looked at him, “Silver Moon has devoured a lot of energy as of late and isn’t really short on that. Gan Wuliang and I are the critical factors. We do not possess the ability to truly craft a dao domain. If we force an ascension to seventh rank, to be honest, it won’t have much use!

“In contrast, Yuan Shuo is most able!” The man looked around him. “A portion of the remaining energy can help all of the low ranks reach third rank, and mid ranks set foot into sixth rank! Those two levels are a simple process of accumulating energy.

“We should learn from New Martial and build a massive reserve of powerhouses at a certain cultivation realm. It will create a bank of people that can break through whenever the proper opportunity presents itself. New Martial is not short on people to rise as seventh ranks, but just some opportunities...

“The remaining energy should go to you first, to use in the Myriad Dao Pavilions that you’re about to build and the worlds that you’ve created...” Hong Yitang brought the conversation topic back to his own dao comprehension. “Gan Wuliang and I have progressed too quickly. Seventh rank requires a period of reflection and contemplation—Yuan Shuo does not need that. He’s been meditating all along and also possesses great potential.

“I don’t have opinions otherwise if you want to forcefully bring us up just for the sake of having two more seventh ranks... but it won’t mean much!”

“I’ve spent one hundred years in Great Li World...” said Gan Wuliang.

Li Hao blinked. Only one hundred years? That wasn’t too long.

It looked like sealing off the sixth rank world hadn’t been as effective as he’d hoped. What a pity that his arrangements had been interrupted ahead of time. He would have to pay an even greater price to seal it away again.

Let’s see what Gan Wuliang has to say.

“I’ve studied the great dao over the past one hundred years in accordance to the marquis’ instructions,” Gan Wuliang explained. “I learned a great deal after becoming part of the local society!

“But because of this, I also know that if I wish to enter seventh rank, I lack the bit of dao accumulation that Brother Hong speaks of. This time, I also support Brother Hong’s suggestion...”

Hong Yitang flicked a glance at the man. He’d called him Headmaster Hong or Senior Hong before. Now it was Brother Hong?

Gan Wuliang had changed after one hundred years in Great Li World, in ways perhaps the man himself didn’t realize. He lacked a bit of... the low and petty bearing that he had before?

How interesting, it looks like they’ve gained a lot from this venture.
