Chapter 1855: Everything Changes (I)
In the far distance.
The seventh rank major worlds that belonged to chaos beasts vibrated continuously. Chaos beasts soon flew out of their worlds, preparing to cross the void and utilize their dao universes to save their own.
This was when three massive pandas appeared.
The Exalted Ironeater Emperor was a peak seventh rank. It wielded a massive iron club—a true club, not a rod of metal. The club seemed to take root within the chaos when it thumped onto the ground!
The massive panda looked around viciously and bared sharp teeth. “Who dares leave their world?!”
It was shocked beyond belief, but there was a chance to break the Dragon master’s dominion today!
It hadn’t thought that nine seventh ranks from four major worlds, and all of their assembled exalted emperors, would run the risk of being exterminated! That was incredible!
However, the Ironeater master didn’t have energy to spare for marveling. Its only thought was that the opportunity was at hand. They couldn’t let any of the chaos beasts here set off to reinforce Phoenix major world. That might change the situation over there!
More than ten seventh ranks appeared in the void, shaking the chaos!
There were now seventeen seventh ranks standing outside their worlds. An extremely seductive Qingqiu fox murmured, “Do the five monster spirit worlds wish to fight us to the bitter end?”
The Chaos Alliance would not be broken like this. Hence, the chaos beasts solemnly faced their opponents and prepared to fight. Since the monster spirits would not retreat, then it would be war!
Chaos beasts lived an incredibly miserable existence within the chaos. They were masters of their lives only in Dragon Region. They would fight tooth and nail to preserve that status!
The Ironeater master roared, gnashing its teeth. “Then we fight! You guys and your Dragon Region are the outsiders in the chaos. We are local monster spirits and no slaves!”
“Kill!”
BOOM!
Battle erupted between seventeen exalted emperors. The clash was so mighty that it threatened to rip the world asunder!
The Ironeater master fought two by itself. Its iron club whirled devilishly, halting two seventh rank world masters. Crazed fervor was the only emotion that could be seen in its eyes!
The monster spirits would have no more chances if they didn’t seize this one.
Rumble!
War commenced in all four regions on this day. Even eighth ranks waded into the battlefield in Blazing Sun Region. More than a dozen seventh ranks were in the field. New Martial was on the offensive!
If excluding the Skyward dao universe, there were more than one hundred seventh ranks in the four regions. Meanwhile, another battle of its own was taking place in the dao universe!
This was the greatest upheaval and disturbance that the four regions had ever seen. Countless high ranks shed blood on this day.
Who was wrong? Who was right?
No one. This was the chaos.
The immense surges of might traveled through Thunder Region, reaching the eighth ranks in the outer regions. Their hearts pounded as well. Had the four regions lost their minds? They were all battling to the death! Had the ninth rank world revitalized or something else?
Why did there seem to be more battlefields than one? Combat seemed to rage through every sector!
......
Clashes rose and fell throughout the four regions. Fighting could be glimpsed in Thunder World, the five worlds of monster spirits, Skyward dao universe, and Blazing Sun! Seventh rank presences filled the chaos!
Countless mid and minor worlds shook in this moment. Some mid and low ranks trembled like leaves. They’d never felt so many powerful presences in their lives. The presences enveloped the four regions and left them nowhere to run to.
It seemed like fighting had broken out in every area!
......
Skyward dao universe.
The Dragon master had indeed sensed the death of another dragon, but was so coolly composed that it was as if a nonissue. The tyrant of the chaos beasts pretended that nothing was taking place. He simply looked at the Blazing Sun master located far away from him!
The Blazing Sun master was highly agitated. There was a strong offensive ongoing against his region, one that shook his dao universe. He wouldn’t have sensed it otherwise.
There were four seventh ranks and one eighth rank in residence at Blazing Sun! That level of strength was the equivalent of a complete eighth rank dao universe. But invaders were at the gate and large numbers of exalted emperors were dying. Although seventh ranks hadn’t died yet, it was still a very dangerous signal to him. It meant that his world might have been overrun. Anyone mid rank and below was being slaughtered!
New Martial!
It could only be New Martial!
The Blazing Sun master flew into a rage. He was here with one eighth rank and two seventh ranks from the outer regions. “We need to break through!” he shouted.
There were nearly twenty seventh ranks gathered near the Dragon master, Skycloud, and Red Moon. All of them circled one particular spot, fracturing the void and attempting to force their way through.
Multiple attempts ended in failure. The Blazing Sun master was immensely frantic!
However, Skycloud and Red Moon wore looks of stern concentration, as if waiting for something.
What were they waiting for?
For Blazing Sun to break!
They were wandering cultivators, so they wanted to see misery befall others as well. In reality, with so many powerhouses gathered here, they could force their way through the Skyward dao universe if they really tried. Instead, Skycloud and Red Moon suddenly erupted with force and redirected their attention to the Light master staying on the sidelines!
We’re defending ourselves against Light! There’s nothing we can do to help you, you’ll have to wait a bit longer.
As for the likelihood of New Martial taking Blazing Sun and entering eighth rank... The chances of that were high. Perhaps only that was when everyone would truly ally together. For the moment, those with major worlds in hand weren’t willing to exert themselves to too much effort.
Their major worlds gave them that degree of confidence.
When everyone was homeless and lacked their dao universe, that may be when annihilation may truly be at hand for New Martial. Whether it was Red Moon or Skycloud, they’d both understood this logic.
Hence, they were indifferent and removed from Blazing Sun’s plight. There was no hurry.
And while the Dragon master continued to work to break free, he had similar thoughts in mind. It was his three draconic powerhouses that were putting forth the most effort, he had his eyes on Blazing Sun.
There were two seventh ranks and two eighth ranks at Blazing Sun, but the Ash Emperor and Human King were no weaklings. The two were suppressed by the Blazing Sun side, but they were managing to stand their ground.
The Ash Emperor was also faster than anticipated. It fled as soon as the enemy showed signs of encircling the two. Their goal was clear—they didn’t care what the others did so long as they didn’t break out of the dao universe.
The Light master threw in what sabotage he could from time to time. By now, the same thought was on everyone’s mind.
The Human King was very familiar with this sight; it’d been the same in New Martial back in the day. A large number of powerhouses had been surrounded in one area and could’ve joined hands to break out of the fake burial mound. However, they’d harbored their own intentions and hadn’t been able to work together.
He’d simply replicated that situation. While the participants were different, the mindset was the same.
No one knew what was happening outside, but they knew that it wouldn’t be too optimistic. Skycloud was no more. Blazing Sun was under attack. No one knew if Blazing Sun would stand strong.
Of the eighth rank worlds, only Light was unaffected. Dragon remained present as well. Of the other three factions, two had been toppled and one teetered on the edge of destruction.
“Yin and yang!”
Yin and yang reversed throughout the world, returning the Human King from his condition of extreme depletion.
The peak seventh rank was shockingly strong as he faced four powerhouses. He was usually quite fatigued after killing one seventh rank, but seemed to have put everything on the line this time!
He even seemed to be fortified by his world and dao universe!
One had to know, dao universes were hard pressed to reach their world masters here. The Dragon master was rummaging through his thoughts when he suddenly tilted his head at the Human King. His eyes darted around as he solemnly scanned the human. The dragon was rather confused.
Everyone was aware of the Human King’s strength. He’d ventured into Utmost Dark alone and killed that world master one with a blow. He’d even obliterated that world and dao universe, so his might was clear to see.
However, he should’ve fallen a long time ago when faced with two eighth ranks. That was the case even though the Ash Emperor and Human King were working together.
Why was he growing stronger the longer he fought? Did he never get tired?
The Dragon master was puzzled, but didn’t say anything. New Martial might be a big threat in the future, but there was nothing he could do about it now. Humans were too strong and they had too many perverse geniuses. He could only eliminate them one by one.
For the moment, New Martial could eradicate many of his enemies for him!
As for what was happening in Dragon Region and if any accidents had developed over the course of conquering Thunder World, there was nothing he could do about that either. If seventh ranks died, then they died. Compared to what he was about to undertake next, a few dead seventh ranks was acceptable.
He was waiting for another chance, a chance that everyone else might be waiting for. They were stalling until... Blazing Sun fell!
Could New Martial do it?
That was a target with eighth ranks in residence and home ground advantage. Could New Martial breach its defenses, break through the dao universe, and turn the Blazing Sun master into a wandering cultivator?
The Dragon master was agitated and excited. He hadn’t felt this way in many years.
“So this is all there is to eighth ranks!” The Human King was drenched with blood, but he continued to laugh in a chilling manner. He unleashed a blow at the eighth rank from the outer regions. “The four regions will take care of our own matters. There is no place at the table for the likes of you!
“Be careful of biting off more than you can chew. I don’t think it’s likely that your brother will survive the day!”
The eighth rank glared forebodingly back! “Human King, you can be this brazen only in the four regions! You’re nothing outside of this area! If in the outer regions, New Martial would’ve long been annihilated by Gemini Region! You wouldn’t dare be this arrogant!”
Gemini Region was a premier region outside. It had two eighth ranks and eight seventh ranks under its banner. The two eighth ranks were brothers and had both come to the four regions. They’d brought two seventh ranks with them and set their sights on Skyward.
