Chapter 157: Convergence! Final Battle [Part 1]

"Another one!!!!!" The eyes of the enemies went wide when they saw this.

This time around, Zich did not throw it at people but instead threw it into the water.

The small ball sank into the black water.

After one second, it exploded underwater.

BOOM!!!

The black water was lifted up from the inside, and the shockwave spread along the water’s surface, forcibly shaking the two Keth candidates out from underwater. As soon as their figures were exposed, Zich had already disappeared from his original spot.

FWOOSH!

Shadow Blink!

He appeared beside one of the Keth candidates, the Blood Arc in his palm already condensed into a thin line.

FWOOOSH!

The red slash swept across. That Keth candidate was directly knocked out of the water area, his body colliding with a half sunken piece of wood, and before he could even land, he turned into simulated shattered light and dissipated.

[Zich Grave — Elimination Count: 4]

The other Keth candidate’s expression changed drastically, and he immediately fled backward.

Zich did not chase because the Sorath candidate’s ice had already spread beneath his feet.

A thin layer of ice formed on the black water’s surface. Although it temporarily provided footholds, the cold air beneath the ice was also eroding toward Zich’s legs, trying to slow his movement.

The next moment, Zich threw a Soul Bomb at the edge of the ice surface.

BOOM!!!

The ice layer was blasted apart. Cold air and black water surged outward together, and the Sorath candidate had no choice but to raise his hand to defend. Taking advantage of this opening, Iron had already broken through the fog, his black greatsword sweeping out horizontally, directly blocking the Velhari candidate who was preparing to approach Zich from the side.

CLANG!!!

The bone blade and the black greatsword collided together. The Velhari candidate’s arm shook violently, and his feet were forcibly pushed back half a step.

His gaze toward Iron became even darker. This undead knight clearly had damaged shoulder armor, yet his movements remained terrifyingly steady.

And Zich himself had already turned toward the human candidate trying to circle around to the supply box.

The other candidate clearly thought that Zich would not destroy his own reward, so he rushed directly toward the stone platform, wanting to seize the supply box first while everything was chaotic.

Zich looked at his back, his expression unchanged.

He did not throw the Soul Bomb toward the supply box.

He threw it onto the path the person’s feet would inevitably pass through.

BOOM!!!

The explosion directly blasted open the ground. The impact force made the human candidate stagger forward, and he fell straight into Iron’s attack range.

Iron backhanded his sword and smashed it down.

BOOOOM!!!

That candidate did not even have a chance to roll away. His body was directly shattered into light.

[Candidate Eliminated]

[Remaining Candidates: 52]

[Zich Grave — Elimination Count: 5]

The atmosphere in the observation hall began to gradually change.

At the start, many people only regarded Zich as a special candidate skilled at using summons, but now what they saw was a different kind of combat method.

The Soul Bombs he threw were not random blasts. Small ones were used to force people to expose themselves, medium ones were used to cut off routes, and the stronger ones were used to create fear and hesitation.

He was using explosions and fear to divide the battlefield, which was something they did not expect a newbie player to achieve.

Inside the Blackwater Swamp, the remaining two candidates finally began to panic.

The Velhari candidate gritted his teeth and charged, clearly wanting to use his speed to close in on Zich before he could throw another bomb.

His judgment was very correct.

Close combat could indeed restrict throwing.

But Zich was precisely waiting for him to approach.

Just as the Velhari candidate rushed within a three step range, Zich suddenly threw a small Soul Bomb at his own feet.

The Velhari candidate’s pupils contracted.

"Madman!"

Zich’s figure had already disappeared.

FWOOSH!

Shadow Blink.

The next instant, the explosion detonated at the original spot.

BOOM!!!

Although the Velhari candidate stepped aside in time to avoid the center, he was still caught by the edge of the explosion, his whole body flying sideways and smashing heavily into the black water.

He was not immediately eliminated, but in a short time, he had already lost the ability to fight.

Seeing this, the Sorath candidate no longer had any thought of continuing the battle. He turned around and retreated.

Zich did not chase. His current condition was also not good.

Having continuously used Soul Bombs, Shadow Blink, and Blood Arc, in addition to his earlier battle with the Swamp Tyrant, he was no longer in a suitable condition to continue chasing distant enemies.

But just then, more footsteps came from the distant fog. They did not come from one direction. They came from all sides.

The red danger marker from earlier, the field monster’s death, the appearance of the supply box, and the continuous black blue explosions had all acted like signals, attracting nearby candidates.

The fog slowly thinned. One by one, figures appeared at the edge of the Blackwater Swamp.

There were humans, Velhari, Keth, Sorath, and even a Nullborn draped in a cloak, standing at a distance and not approaching immediately.

The main light screen in the observation hall also began to enlarge the Blackwater Swamp area.

More and more representatives realized that this area had already transformed from a field monster point into the first true large convergence point of the reduction phase.

Zich stood in front of the supply box. Iron stood behind him with damaged armor, while Shlimy lay beside him, exhausted. He looked at the candidates continuously appearing around him.

With each passing second, more and more kept appearing. He did a quick count with his eyes, and his pupils contracted slightly.

’Fifty...’

For a moment, no one spoke. Everyone looked at one another, silently judging the others.

The wind over the Blackwater Swamp stopped for an instant, and a suffocating tension descended over the area as if gravity itself had tripled.

The earliest scattered battles of the first phase had finally been forcibly pulled together into the same place. Everyone had come here.
