'Huh...neat' Gwen thought with a smile, as she gazed at the wide eyed spiders in front of her, her mask was already down and clearly showing her face. A face that was similar to that of Gwen-65's, but beautiful to an entirely different realm, and more mature thanks to her being older.
"So...you guys just gonna stare at me?" Gwen asked as she watched their faces move between shock, confusion, and various other emotions.
"You-you're my-" "Alternate universe self? Yeah, well, sorta. I'm older, hotter, and a hell of a lot stronger. Oh, smarter too" Gwen replied to Gwen-65 with a smug grin on her face, as she glanced at the others. Gwen-65 looked a little insulted at the mention of Gwen being hotter, stronger, and smarter, but didn't say a word as Gwen began to speak to Miles.
"So you're the Miles Morales of this universe huh? Pretty sure my Earth has got one, but considering dear old Pete hasn't gotten into the Spiderman scene much yet, I guess it'll be a while before we see you do any web slinging, won't we?" Gwen said in amusement, looking at the younger kid.
"Wait so there's multiple Gwen's out there too?" Miles asked as he looked between the two, noticing the difference in height, age, and figure. There was also Gwen who was in a black and white looking suit, while Gwen-65 was in her normal Ghost Spider costume.
"Hmm? Oh yeah, there is. There's one for pretty much every Peter Parker, as in most universes, Peter and other Gwen's become a thing. I'm an exception because I'm not interested in men, and shorty over there is an exception due to some things that happened on her Earth" Gwen replied with a nod, as they all blink at the mention of not being interested in men, before Gwen-65 huffed.
"I am not short" Gwen-65 grumbled while Gwen just smirked, noticing that her counterpart was already getting bugged by her.
"Whatever you say, shorty" Gwen replied to her counterpart, as Peter from this multiverses Earth 616 spoke. He had noticed that Gwen had gotten into the cave, which...didn't make much sense.
"How did you even find this place? It's a shack in the backyard of Aunt May's house" Peter asked, confused on how the hell she even managed to get here.
"I just followed my senses, it was pretty simple really. That, and knowing the Peter on my Earth, if there's anywhere other Spiders would convene at, it'd be here" Gwen responded with a shrug, as it was the truth, even if she did already know thanks to watching the movie a while ago.
"That...actually makes sense" Peter said, conceding to her thought as it was right. There's a reason why he, Gwen-65 and Miles went here instead of somewhere else. Although it was more so because they hoped that May could help them with their problem.
This "Problem" was in the form of a chip that could shut down the super collider that was causing them to appear in this reality. It had been broken during a fight, and thanks to that, needed to be repaired or replaced. And they had come to Aunt May in hopes that this world's Peter had a backup or stuff to repair the thing.
"So, is there any reason you idiots were beating on the newbie?" Gwen asked them as she stared at them with an unimpressed look, as what they were doing was...dumb, it just made the kid lose confidence in himself and caused more issues.
"Because we need to see if he can handle being one of us" Gwen-65 replied like it was obvious. The problem with that was, that the way they "Tested" him, was through some less than proper means, that had done more harm than good, and had it continued like in canon, he would have went invisible and left.
Looking at her counterpart, Gwen raised an eyebrow "So you have to literally knock him down and kick him? There's better ways to test someone than beat them up and yell in their face. Besides, his powers are new and completely foreign to him, he's still got to learn how to use them. Surely all of you understand that feeling, right?" Gwen asked, as she stared at them, causing them to go silent.
It was Peni that spoke first "Wow we were kinda mean...weren't we?"
"Oh yeah, you guys were being asses" Peter from 616 said with a nod, agreeing. He had seen the way they were talking to Miles and was in the process of stopping them, but Gwen came in and cut that off before it got any worse.
"Yeah but we had to test him somehow, otherwise he could get himself and others hurt while on a mission" Gwen-65 replied.
"While that is true, there are other ways of testing him, my short counterpart. He's brand new to all of this, and from what I can tell, only got his powers a few days ago, meaning, he's basically a newborn in terms of powers. Not only that, but he has completely and unique powers that none of you have, meaning, he has even more of a struggle with growth than any of you do" Gwen replied, understanding where her counterpart was coming from, as testing him was a genuine thing they should do, but the way they did it, was awful.
"Alright alright, lets stop arguing over how we should be teaching the kid, and instead focus on what to do now, especially with the new girl here" Peter Porker said, cutting in as the argument wasn't doing anything for them, if anything, it was going to cause more problems as they wasted more time on it.

"Okay then, how about I start with asking the other Gwen, how old are you?" Gwen-65 asked, as Gwen smiled.
"18, turning 19 fairly soon" Gwen replied, as Peter from 616 spoke up.
"How long have you been a hero for?"
"A couple of years now. I mostly do stuff in the background nowadays though" Gwen replied with a shrug, as Peter Noir spoke.
"Can you fight?" Peter Noir asked in his deep serious voice, the one that sounded like Nicholas Cage, which made Gwen more amused than anything.
"I'm by far the best martial artist in my universe, and just about every universe out there. In simplest terms, I can single handedly beat all your asses with both hands behind my back" Gwen replied with a grin, as it was true. She had the memories of so many people that martial arts was simple and easy for her, and would only continue to grow more over time.
"Great, you're arrogant too" Gwen-65 groaned. Arrogant heroes were some of the worst ones to work with, especially in a team environment like there was going to be.
"Arrogant? No, confident? Yes. I simply know how strong I am, and know that there are few other beings in existence that can compare. I also know when not to fight, and who I can't win against" Gwen replied with a shake of her head, as while she did definitely have some arrogance to her, she was more confident than anything.
"Whatever you say" Gwen-65 muttered with a sigh, having a feeling that this older counterpart of hers was going to be very annoying to work with.
"Alright, next question. Where'd Miles go?" Peni asked, as they all blinked and turned, only to find that Miles was gone, and the small elevator platform that took them down to where they were standing, was raised, meaning he had taken it and left.
'Huh...looks like he'll be seeing his uncle as Prowler still after all' Gwen thought, before turning back to the group and speaking, a small grin on her face.
"So now that the questioning is over...why don't we get to work?"
At this, they all looked at one another before nodding, knowing that they didn't have time to waste, not with the world and even the universe potentially unraveling around them thanks to the collider.
Seeing this, Gwen smiled as she turned to the large supercomputer that the Peter of this Earth had set up, only one thought on her mind as she began to get to work, remembering that the reward for this quest was quite a lot for something seemingly so easy.
'...I wonder what's different from canon?'
