Emily Daniels' voice came through the speakers of Kate Steven's car as soon as the call connected. “Kate, did it work?”

After being shocked to find that the communicator had successfully connected to the universal subspace network, Kate had placed it in her handbag before quickly leaving Hopkins Bank, where she called Emily as soon as she sat down in her car.

“It worked, though I can scarcely believe it,” Kate replied in an excited tone as she pulled out the communicator from her handbag.

“Oh, thank goodness,” Emily replied in a relieved tone before adding, “We can finally go home after all these years.”

“Yeah, I just need to call…” Kate began only to stop speaking for a moment before cursing, “What the fuck!”

“What happened?” Emily asked.

“I can’t contact anyone,” Kate replied in a confused tone.

“What?” Emily asked in surprise.

Kate fiddled with the communicator and went to several different sites before realising what was wrong and cursing, “It’s fucking read-only.”

“I’m back,” Tephe announced as she bounced happily into the medical bay with Maya on her head.

“Welcome back,” Rowena said with a smile before asking, “How was your date? Did you have a good time?”

“It was great, I even got to beat up an idiot I’ve never liked,” Tephe replied proudly.

“We saw,” Aphrodite said with a smile before holding up a thumb and saying, “Good job.”

“Hehe,” Tephe giggled while giving Aphrodite a thumbs-up in return.

“Where’s Adam?” Rowena asked before adding with a smirk, “did he not come back with you?”

“He did.” Tephe nodded before saying, “He went to check on Lorelie in the medical bay.”

“Such a devoted boyfriend,” Aphrodite said wistfully before asking, “So what was the deal with you suddenly turning green in your fight?”

“I’m no expert on dragons, but I’m pretty sure you can’t just go changing your colour,” Eri remarked in surprise.

“It’s definitely something I’ve never heard of,” Rowena replied.

“Yeah, yeah, that’s great and all, but I want to hear about the juicy stuff,” Aphrodite said dismissively before asking, “What happened between you and Adam?”

“What happened?” Tephe repeated in confusion before asking, “We went on a date, have you not been paying attention?”

Rowena and Eri stifled sniggers as they heard Tephe’s response, while Emma smiled and said, “I think she means, did you and Adam get up to anything intimate?”

“Exactly,” Aphrodite confirmed.

“Well, I got to walk arm in arm with him again, which was super nice,” Tephe said happily.

“My dear Tephe, you are so innocent when it comes to the ways of love,” Aphrodite remarked.

“Don’t you mean the ways of sex?” Rowena asked before adding, “what do you know about love?”

“It’s called making love for a reason,” Aphrodite retorted.

“And yet you’ve never been in love,” Rowena replied.

“Sure I have,” Aphrodite replied, surprising Rowena before adding proudly, “I’ve loved almost every cock that’s been inside me.”

Aphrodite sighed and was about to reply when she suddenly looked in a certain direction as her eyes glowed slightly pink.

“I’m going to take you under my wing and teach you,” Aphrodite replied.

“But you don’t have wings, so shouldn’t it be me taking you under my wing?” Tephe asked, causing Rowena, Eri and Emma to laugh.

“It was a metaphor,” Aphrodite replied while rolling her eyes before grabbing Tephe’s hand and leading her towards the door, saying, “just come with me.”

“Is this ok?” Emma asked before adding, “Letting Aphrodite teach Tephe, I mean?”

“It’s fine, it’s probably a good thing since Adam is still slightly hesitant about moving forward with Tephe,” Rowena replied while glancing up at the holographic screen that was displaying the USNN channel.

“Where do you think she’s taking her?” Eri asked.

“Probably to spy on Adam and Stacey having sex,” Rowena replied.

“How do you know they're having sex?” Emma asked in surprise.

“The way her eyes glowed for a moment, she must have sensed them being intimate,” Rowena replied.

“I guess since Lorelie’s still recovering, it would be Adam and Stacey,” Eri remarked, to which Rowena nodded.

“I think it would be best if I followed them,” Emma said before quickly adding, “to make sure Aphrodite doesn’t corrupt poor Tephe.”

Rowena glanced at Emma out of the corner and watched her quickly follow after Aphrodite and Tephe before smirking and turning to Eri to ask, “are you not going?”

“No, I have some research to do with Spector’s help,” Eri replied before several holographic screens appeared before her and she started fiddling with them.

Rowena nodded before turning her attention back to the holographic screen just as the host switched to a new story.
