Chapter 1802: Four-Sided Encirclement

Celloza had indeed come to support Feylis, White Stella, and the others in their campaign to capture the Golden Rock Worlds.

Among the combat legions from Planet Norvex, Sein also noticed a large number of devils serving under Celloza’s command.

In the star domains surrounding the Magus Civilization, devils had long been associated with cunning and evil.

Sein had no idea where this peak Rank Six powerhouse had managed to recruit so many devils.

He even spotted two particularly unusual ones—one at Rank Five and another at Rank Four. Judging by their features, they seemed to belong to the Frenzied Eye Devil and Energy Vampire lineages.

“Master Sein, haven’t you heard that within our Magus Alliance, Celloza bears the title of Devil King?” said a Rank Four knight with a smile.

Having received advance notice while returning to BF307 Star Domain, he came to join Sein.

Sein recognized the knight. They had fought together before during the war at the Eiyurant Papillon Civilization’s subspace.

“Oh?” Sein responded in surprise. He had only recently become a law-wielding mage and had attended just one Alliance Conference so far. It was only natural that he was unfamiliar with Celloza’s reputation within the Magus Alliance, as well as the titles he held.

“It all started when Celloza single-handedly destroyed a notorious devil stronghold and brought a large number of devils under his command,” the Rank Four knight explained.

“In any case, Celloza is a very famous person within our Magus Alliance,” he added with obvious admiration.

Sein nodded. He knew that with Celloza joining the coming wars in the surrounding star domains, the pressure on Feylis, White Stella, and the others would be greatly reduced.

After completing his escort mission for Celloza and the Norvexian legions, Sein quickly returned to his assigned frontline battlefield.

Before long, another combat order from Feylis arrived.

The next target for Sein and his forces was a star coordinate marked β507.221.784.

Since he had already spoken with Feylis beforehand, Sein understood that this offensive was meant to coordinate with the main battlefield where Feylis herself was fighting.

And with Celloza leading tens of millions of elite troops from Planet Norvex as reinforcements, Feylis’ advance was clearly far more aggressive than originally planned!

A year later...

After successfully securing the target star coordinate node, Sein continued pressing deeper into the BF307 Star Domain under his grandmaster’s orders.

Over the past year, the fighting on his front had been relatively light.

The truly fierce battles were being fought on Feylis’ frontlines, as well as on another battlefield along the border of BF307 Star Domain that had been established by Celloza, the peak Rank Six powerhouse.

Sometimes, the state of an entire warzone could be observed from the smallest details.

For example, over the past year, the Gallant Federation legions facing Sein had shown little will to fight and had retreated again and again.

From that alone, Sein knew the war in BF307 Star Domain would not last much longer.

Perhaps in just a few more years, he and his forces would be advancing into the Golden Rock Worlds.

***

Just as Sein had expected, the war in BF307 Star Domain came to an end roughly six years after Celloza’s elite Norvexian legions had joined the fighting.

Feylis’ Magus Civilization forces achieved complete control over the star domain.

However, after the war here ended, Feylis did not launch an immediate offensive against the Golden Rock Worlds.

Instead, she ordered her tens of millions of troops to rest and regroup first.

Huge quantities of war supplies were continuously sent to the frontlines.

As a medium-sized star domain, the Golden Rock Worlds were clearly destined to become the site of an even fiercer war.

During this period, Sein came to understand that his grandmaster had more reasons for temporarily halting the offensive than merely allowing the legions time to recover.

She was also waiting for the sea race legions under White Stella to complete their assigned war objectives.

Celloza had already led half of his forces to reinforce the smaller star domain battlefield where the giant mermaid was fighting.

Once White Stella’s campaign was concluded, the Magus Civilization’s assault on the Golden Rock Worlds would effectively become a four-sided encirclement.

Aside from the tens of millions of troops commanded by Feylis, White Stella, and Celloza, Master Fathis would also lead her legions into the campaign from the other side of the Golden Rock Worlds.

In fact, she was the Magus Civilization’s overall commander for the expedition against the Golden Rock Worlds.

Sein recognized her. She was the Rank Six lumimancer from years ago, the one rumored to be quite close to Feylis.

In recent years, Master Fathis had truly fallen on hard times.

Originally, the Magus Civilization had designated the Golden Rock Worlds, home to many of the federation’s heavy industry factories, as the main target of its war effort in this peripheral region of the civilizational battlefield.

However, after Sein discovered the ruins of the Eiyurant Papillon Civilization and successfully brought worlds such as the Shadowbat Civilization and Marvelous Plane into the Magus Alliance, he ultimately forced the Magus Civilization to shift its strategic focus and direct its main attention to that subspace battlefield instead.

Even overlord-level forces from both the Gallant Federation and the Magus Civilization had descended there!

That strategic shift had inevitably reduced the resources and combat strength Master Fathis could obtain from the upper echelons of the Magus Civilization.

By contrast, Grandmaster Feylis had been showered with manpower and resources in recent years.

She was thriving.

Master Fathis believed Feylis’ successful rise to the peak of Rank Six was directly tied to the massive support she had received during these years.

That fortune should have been hers.

Not only had Feylis stolen much of Master Fathis’s attention and glory on other battlefields, but now she was also bringing her forces to divide the war profits of the Golden Rock Worlds.

Then again, Feylis had no choice but to come! 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

In recent years, the Gallant Federation had placed greater emphasis on the surrounding star domains, especially the subspace battlefield.

As a result, large numbers of Federation forces had gathered in the Golden Rock Worlds. The difficulty of launching an assault there now far exceeded what Master Fathis had faced when she first took command of this star domain.

A four-sided encirclement was the most reliable way to secure the Golden Rock Worlds.

The Magus Civilization’s high command had already approved this battle plan.

At the same time, Steel City had issued orders demanding that Feylis and the others do everything possible to preserve as many of the federation’s heavy industry factories in the Golden Rock Worlds as they could.

It seemed Steel City’s mechanics intended to take over part of the federation’s industrial assets there.

To that end, Steel City had reportedly sent a Rank Six mechanic specifically to oversee the matter.

This newly advanced Rank Six mechanic was still a junior in the eyes of veterans like Feylis and Fathis. Even so, he possessed a remarkable background.

He was the apprentice of Master Viktor, one of the Magus Civilization’s soul-level mechanics.
