Chapter 1951: Chapter 1946: Nothing Detected

Master Xiaobei glanced at him playfully and lazily asked, "Why do you say that?"

Glaring harshly at Master Xiaobei, Yan Chengwei replied impatiently, "Why do I say that? Obviously because I couldn’t find anything on my side!"

Hearing Yan Chengwei’s confident reply, Master Xiaobei laughed out loud.

Then, Master Xiaobei turned his head to look at the instrument and said indifferently, "Not finding anything means I didn’t poison you? Maybe your instrument is just too crappy and can’t find anything."

"Are you kidding? It’s crappy? This is the most advanced instrument currently available. If you really poisoned me, it wouldn’t miss it!"

"Any instrument can malfunction. Otherwise, take a look at your hand."

Hearing Master Xiaobei’s talk, Yan Chengwei instinctively turned to take a look.

Instantly, his expression turned into a deep scowl.

Because he found that his palm had started to turn blue.

"What’s happening?"

Surprised, he brought his hand closer to take a very careful look.

He found that the spot where Master Xiaobei had punctured was the most blue.

It was evident that he was poisoned.

Seeing his shocked expression, Master Xiaobei smiled faintly, "Now do you still claim you’re not poisoned? Your instrument obviously has serious issues if it can’t detect anything!"

Hearing this sarcastic remark, Yan Chengwei glared at his subordinates, "Thoroughly check the machine!"

"Yes!"

They agreed and began a meticulous inspection.

After three minutes, they couldn’t find a single problem; all the instrument’s data was completely normal.

The leader glanced at the others and whispered, "Did any of you find anything wrong?"

"I didn’t!"

"Neither did I!"

"Me neither!"

Hearing these responses, he nodded.

Soon, he smiled warmly at Yan Chengwei, "Brother Yan, we just checked thoroughly, and now we are sure there’s not a single issue."

Receiving this confident reply, Yan Chengwei looked at him coldly, "Are you sure?"

"Yes, I’m sure, absolutely sure!"

"Alright, draw blood again!"

"Yes!"

He agreed and called out again.

Soon, those people gathered around Yan Chengwei again...

A minute later, the latest blood sample was packed up by them again.

Seeing them place the drawn blood sample into the instrument again, Yan Chengwei looked at Master Xiaobei with contempt and said coldly, "That was just an accident earlier. In three minutes, you’ll know just how terrifying this instrument is."

"Better hurry up, or you might have to amputate!"

Hearing such a frank remark, Yan Chengwei glanced over, discovering his palms and the back of his hands started changing color too.

His eye twitched hard, and Yan Chengwei with contempt, "Trying to scare me? Do you think I scare that easily?"

"Whatever you say!"

Master Xiaobei pouted nonchalantly, then quickly turned to the hospital dean, "Do we have any sunflower seeds left?"

"Of course!"

"Go get some; watching a scene is more fun with sunflower seeds."

"I’ll get them right away!"

With that, he immediately turned and ran off.

After the dean left, Li Nan came over to Master Xiaobei and hesitated slightly before whispering, "Master Bei, how do you feel now? Is there anything uncomfortable?"

Li Nan was particularly worried about Master Xiaobei.

Because he had seen Master Xiaobei drink those poisons with his own eyes.

He didn’t know exactly how toxic the poisons were, but he knew they were certainly very dangerous, so Master Xiaobei should be feeling quite terrible now.

Master Xiaobei realized Li Nan genuinely feared for him!

He turned to look at him, narrowing his eyes, "Li, you’re a bit of an expert in Chinese Medicine now. Try observing me carefully using qi observation."

"Okay!"

Agreeing, he focused intently on Master Xiaobei.

Rich qi is essential for a healthy life.

Normal people’s qi is strong.

Patients, for various reasons, would have diminished qi...

...

"How is it?"

After a short while, Master Xiaobei smiled and asked.

"Master Bei, I find your qi to be very strong, much better than the average person."

"There you go, no need to worry about me, I’m totally fine."

"But you were indeed poisoned!"

"To me, that poison is just child’s play."

Hearing Master Xiaobei’s confident words, he couldn’t say anything further. At that moment, he heard footsteps and saw the dean returning with a load of sunflower seeds.

At that moment, Master Xiaobei heard the dean cautiously say, "Master Bei, I wasn’t sure which flavor you liked, so I brought a variety."

"I’m good with any flavor!"

He smiled gently, grabbing a handful of seeds, and started snacking happily.

Yan Chengwei had been paying attention and, seeing Master Xiaobei happily cracking open the seeds, his eyelid twitched hard.

Soon, he took a deep breath and glared viciously at Master Xiaobei, trembling and shouting through clenched teeth, "Eat up; it’s your last meal anyway."

With that, he heard the machine sound again.

He knew the test was complete.

This time, he didn’t let his subordinates fetch the report but rushed at it himself.

The subordinates, seeing his urgent demeanor, flinched.

They knew he was clearly upset.

Hence, they quickly stepped back a few paces.

After taking a very careful look at the detailed test report in his hands, he began yelling as if he’d seen a ghost, "Impossible, this is impossible, absolutely impossible!"

"Brother Yan, what’s wrong?"

Seeing him shouting in disarray, his subordinates quickly gathered around him.

"See for yourselves!"

Shooting them an annoyed look, Yan Chengwei quickly tossed the report to them.

They hurriedly caught it and took a careful look.

Upon seeing it, they too were bewildered.

Completely normal!

Just as before, the test report remained completely normal.

"How can this be! How can this be!"

They exchanged bewildered looks and turned to Yan Chengwei.

Looking as if he had eaten something vile, Yan Chengwei frowned deeply, "I know it’s impossible, but it’s the truth! Give me a reasonable explanation, give me a reasonable explanation."

Hearing this near-crazed questioning, they awkwardly hung their heads.

They wanted to provide an explanation but simply didn’t know how to...

Because everything was just too unusual...
