The tip of her nose felt sour, and Evelyn paced back and forth under the big tree, gradually letting her thoughts wander.

Logan chuckled lightly and took out a box of chocolates from the back seat, speaking gently, "This is a thank-you gift."

"Wow—" Evelyn’s eyes widened, and she couldn’t help but murmur, "Cece loves chocolate! If she knew you were giving me chocolates, she’d be so jealous!"

Logan raised an eyebrow, "What?"

"N-nothing!" Evelyn quickly covered her mouth, then flashed Logan a sweet smile, asking, "Is there something you want to buy?"

"A bracelet." As he spoke, Logan’s eyes were filled with a gentle warmth, "Help me pick out a style."

Evelyn nodded, still wondering if Logan was buying it for her.

After hesitating for a bit, she tentatively asked, "Is it for... a close female friend, or, a girlfriend?"

Logan lightly pressed his thin lips together, offering a meaningful smile, and drove forward without responding.

Sitting in the passenger seat, holding the chocolate, Evelyn decided to share the gossip with Cecilia.

Several possibilities ran through her mind, but her mood was undoubtedly happy.

Maybe she was just naturally optimistic, already assuming that Logan was buying a gift for her.
