Luckily, the doctor arrived shortly, after giving Caden a rough check-up, confirmed he needed rest, and left the room.

The room suddenly turned quiet, leaving only Evelyn and Caden, making Evelyn feel somewhat awkward.

An unconscious smile tugged at her lips—him being alive was the best gift from Heaven to her.
