Chapter 448: Chapter 448: Who Gave You Permission to Leave Like That?
Listening to the child’s question, Cecilia Lynch’s lips awkwardly curled.
Her heart was filled with a deep sense of depression, like the countless grains of sand on the beach.
She gently parted her thin lips and murmured, "I suppose so!"
"Sister, you’re so pretty, can you still be heartbroken?" the child said, taking a seashell out of his pocket and giving it to Cecilia Lynch.
He continued, "I picked this up, you open it and see, maybe there’ll be a pearl inside! It’s for you!"
"For me?" Cecilia Lynch looked astonished, "If there really is a pearl inside, would you still give it to me?"
"I pick up shells at the beach every day and even dive into the sea to find things. I’m giving this to you anyway, it’s not certain there’s a pearl!" As he spoke, the child waved at Cecilia Lynch, "I have to go home now! Sister, I wish the man you like appears right in front of you and that you two will have happiness together!"
After saying this, the child ran away laughing.
Cecilia Lynch couldn’t help but chuckle, looking at the shell in her hand, she murmured, "How old are you? Are you even ten yet? And you already know about liking someone and being happy? What an old soul for a child!"
Watching the child’s retreating figure, Cecilia Lynch’s face showed more of a smile.
Without Julian Keaton, she figured she wouldn’t have children in this lifetime!
After all, she probably didn’t have the ability to fall in love with someone else.
Weighing the shell in her hand, Cecilia Lynch decided to try her luck. Maybe there really was a pearl inside!
The shell opened easily.
What met Cecilia Lynch’s eyes was a sparkling diamond ring, dazzling and beautiful in the sunlight.
Cecilia Lynch widened her eyes in surprise, her thin lips parted slightly, letting out a breath of astonishment.
Clearly, this ring was intentionally placed there by someone.
Upon closer inspection, this shell didn’t seem picked up at all; it looked more like a decoration.
She immediately looked around, her heart inadvertently jumped into her throat, pounding wildly.
However, on the vast beach, there wasn’t a sign of the person she was thinking of.
Could it be that this ring wasn’t placed by Julian Keaton, intentionally having the child give it to her?
Had Julian Keaton found her?
Where is he?
Cecilia Lynch climbed down from the rocks, barely taking a few steps when she sensed something in the water. Just as she looked down, Julian Keaton lifted her up.
"Ah—" Cecilia Lynch screamed.
The next second, Julian Keaton, holding Cecilia Lynch, tossed her into a deeper part of the water.
Water splashed high and the waves seemed to dance with joy.
It was like Julian Keaton was venting his anger for having looked for Cecilia Lynch for so long, also venting his frustration at her leaving without a word.
He looked at Cecilia Lynch, his eyes a mix of coldness and passion, but the smile at his lips deepened.
He found her!
Finally, he found her!
Cecilia Lynch, shocked, stood up clumsily from the water, her first reaction was to check the ring in the shell in her hand, still securely in place.
"You’re crazy!" Cecilia Lynch shouted at Julian Keaton.
She had just swallowed several mouthfuls of water.
"Everything you’ve done has been brainless, so of course, it needs a brainless act," Julian Keaton stood before Cecilia Lynch, his tone harsh.
"You!" Cecilia Lynch furrowed her brows tightly, wishing she could just push Julian Keaton into the water.
This man, how could he be so infuriating?
"Who gave you permission to leave that way?" Julian Keaton raised an eyebrow and questioned coldly, "Do you know how I felt when I excitedly ran home only to find you not there, just the farewell letter you left behind?"
