Chapter 855: 855: Spirit Roots
The battle between the Thunder King and the disguised Immortal Sun Emperor ended up with the disguised emperor chasing the elder who was running away from countless sword lights. Their fight ended with lightning and thunder glowing and rumbling all around the area. The battle that is supposed to be serious is now like a one sided one with the young man overpowering the older man. Shan Xu and Pei Ju, like the rest of the people who were watching the scene from a distance, were all dumbfounded.
Pei Ju said, "Isn’t this supposed to be a serious fight?"
"It’s just sparring. Do you truly think they would fight each other to death?" Shan Xu rebuked.
Pei Ju retorted, "Such a one sided beating! You call it sparring?! The Sun Emperor obviously didn’t use any domain or sun energy and just his sword. Is he as powerful as a sword master as well?"
"Maybe he is more dangerous with a sword than not," Shan Du commented.
In the end, the two men returned to that small courtyard with the older man covered in a few cut places on his robes while Shen Jueyang was in a good mood as if he had a nice exercise.
Shen Jueyang said, "A’Shui, go get another set of clothes for your granduncle. I’m going out to buy some food."
The Immortal Sun Emperor left the house to buy some dishes for lunch. He cannot cook after all. Maybe it’s better to take away the chef in the Town Master’s place and bring it home so he wouldn’t have to wait for food to be delivered at home and just order someone to make it.
Meanwhile after he left, one old and one young looked at each other. The former looked depressed as if the world was against him while the latter had an understanding look. After all, he had never seen his Uncle Shen lose to someone before and their mother used to say that if something happened to her their Uncle Shen would protect them. Yue Huashui wanted to pat his Granduncle’s back but his height isn’t enough and can only pat his arm.
The sentient blue lotus flower said, "Granduncle, don’t mind. Uncle Shen is just too strong."
"You little one, just whose side are you on?" Lei Yuye asked.
Yue Huashui answers, "My mom’s side."
"Alright, you mama’s boy!"
Lei Yuye like a loving elder as he pats the child’s head when suddenly he noticed a few more eyes looking at him from the back when he turns around, he saw a little girl with silver eyes holding a baby girl with purple eyes and a toddler that can crawl staring at him with round golden eyes while sucking on his thumb.
"This...? More baby turnips? How many did my niece have in her house?" The Thunder King mumbles.
Yue Huashui followed his Granduncle’s eyes and saw his siblings. "You guys are awake!"

The Immortal Sun Emperor who left the small courtyard went to visit the town master. He was enjoying his black coffee while the two elders were feeling a bit awkward in his presence. After all, he is an emperor realm cultivator and a powerful one at that.
"You majesty, you..." Pei Ju was suddenly cut off from his next words as the Immortal Sun Emperor speaks up.
"Do not expose me. My lord is alright with your majesty," said Shen Jueyang.
Shan Xu asked, "My Lord, why have you come to visit this servant’s home?"
"Oh~, I wanted to borrow your chef until Xue’er wakes up. As you know, I have a lot of children and now an elder at home," Shen Jueyang answered, not even embarrassed about the fact that he came for someone’s chef.
The Town Master said, "Lord Shen, the chef is here. Are you coming back now?"
"No. Let him cook a few dishes for lunch. Let the old man at home calm down. He lost quite a face and I might get beaten to death when I get home," Shen Jueyang said.
The two old men in front of him didn’t know how to react to his words. They no longer ask the man in front of them to go home and let him stay for a while. In the end, while waiting for the food to be made a loud commotion from the outside was heard. A rumbling sound of thunder as if a huge gong was hit in the sky echoing in the whole town.

Almost everyone in the town was startled and ran out of the house only to see thick, dark clouds gathering above one of the small courtyards near the end of the town. All of the sudden dragon shaped divine lightning starts swimming from the dark clouds roaring loudly as if something had summoned it. The moment the Immortal Sun Emperor saw that it was happening in his own place, his face turned serious.
Shen Jueyang ordered before leaving, "Evacuate people within a hundred meters around our house. Unless they want to turn to ashes under the tribulation lightning, tell them to retreat!"
After saying this, he flew directly to the small courtyard where he saw the Thunder King protecting the children from stray lightning and Yue Xuexia was floating above ground surrounded and protected by the two black, ancient dragons that had signed a contract with her while she was asleep. These two black, ancient dragons are fierce, they would devour the lightning and transfer it to their mistress allowing her to absorb the most refined lightning essence.
To fully awaked the Primordial Lightning God, she needs to absorb as many as lightning elements she can, and these elements would naturally get attracted to her, but due to some injuries in the soul her vessel is weaker compared to ordinary gods. The two black, ancient lightning dragons knew about this and protected her while aiding her. After all, lightning won’t be able to harm them as their scale had long been refined to perfection which not even an ordinary tribulation lightning can destroy.
Shen Jueyang upon returning in a hurry asked, "Old man, what happened?!"
"Who are you calling old man!? Tsk! Those two dragons suddenly appeared and carried Xue’er out of the house saying that she is about to complete her merging with the Primordial Ancestor’s blood. Then the sky turned dark and what you are seeing now is what happened next!" The Thunder King said.
The Immortal Sun Emperor sensing that things aren’t normal, he looked at the children and saw three of them greatly affected by the lightning element around the area. They were being suppressed and as flower spirit lightning wasn’t actually a compatible thing with them. Well, except the newly born Yue Hualei who had awakened max affinity with lightning thanks to the blood Yue Xuexia had given to her before she was reborn.
Shen Jueyan said, "A’Shui, bring Xiao Xue and A’Jin with you and find Elder Shan. You currently cannot stay here!"
"But how about Lei’er?" Yue Huashui asked as he looked worriedly at Yue Huashui who is now just a baby girl who doesn’t even know what is happening in the world.
The Thunder King assured him, "This baby turnip is born with Lightning God Physique and naturally born from the blessing of the divine lightning. So all kinds of lightning is just her nourishment and would help her grow faster. There is no need to worry about her. But you three might get burned to ashes so retreat as your uncle said."
Yue Huashui held his sister Xue’s hand and carried toddler Xiao Jin in his other hand. After bidding farewell to their Uncle Shen and Granduncle Yuye, flew took away his sibling and left the courtyard heading out of range of the tribulation above their heads.
Lei Yuye carried a little baby girl in his hand awkwardly, he looked at Shen Jueyang beside him.
He said, "Brat, carry the little girl."
Shen Jueyang didn’t mind and was about to take baby Lei’er from the Thunder King only for the baby to cry out. Only when she is securedly carried by Lei Yuye with one hand that she would stop crying. The two men were baffled by this scene. But after trying a few times it seems that Baby Lei’er would truly cry if Shen Jueyang was the one carrying her.
The Thunder King, perplexed , asked, "What is going on here?"
"Old man, maybe because you have a pure lightning spirit root that she likes to stay with you?" The Immortal Sun Emperor said.
The Thunder King didn’t believe it and asked him, "What are your spirit roots then?"
"Fire and lightning," said Shen Jueyang.
Moreover, it’s not a dual type like others possess. He had two single spirit roots in his body. The high grade fire spirit root had grown to its peak while the lightning spirit root was newly placed inside him by the Primordial Lightning God the last time he was in the Lightning Ancient God’s Abode, this broken ruin.
