Chapter 832: 832: Porridge

The moment the porridge entered their mouth, a delicious taste of soft, boiled, savory chicken, plus a bit of pepper, eggs and other ingredients exploded in their mouths. It was so delicious that after swallowing it, Pei Xiu immediately reached out for another scoop only to be stopped by his brother.
"Xiu’er, you only said one scoop. No more," said Pei Yun.

He split the big bowl into three and gave one to his younger sibling. He saved the one for their father on the table and covered it. The other two bowls were enjoyed by them.
By the time Pei Ju got out of seclusion, he saw a small bowl of porridge on the table with his youngest watching over it with yearning. As for his eldest, he left to take a bath.
"Son, what are you looking at the porridge for? Are you hungry?" Pei Ju asked.
Pei Xiu said, "Dad, can I eat this? I’m still so hungry."
"Is that supposed to be mine? Well, go ahead and eat it and ask the kitchen to serve more," Pei Ju said.
He hadn’t finished talking yet when he saw his youngest son acting like a man who hasn’t eaten for years, drinking porridge like his life depended on it. Pei Yun who had just finished his bath came out at this moment and saw his younger brother eating his father’s bowl of porridge from the Goddess and couldn’t help but comment.
Pei Yun said, "Father, did you not eat that porridge? That is something Miss Yue had sent to you as a reward. I and Xiu’er had already eaten. Did you give yours to Xiu’er?"

The father and son brawled over a small bowl of porridge and in the end the old man won but the small bowl was only half full. He didn’t hesitate to drink the porridge and noticed that with a few spoonfuls, he felt his vitality increase a bit. He immediately regrets it. If only he ate a huge bowl of it, he would have broken through completely into a minor realm. He can only glare at his gluttonous son who is now meditating for eating too much.
