Chapter 145: A True Heavenly Physique

Ten thousand feet!

The blinding pillar of icy-blue and silver light hung suspended in the sky like a pillar connecting heaven and earth.

The dazzling radiance radiating from the Tablet was so overwhelmingly intense that it painted the entire Grand Colosseum in a dream-like blue hue.

"Ten... ten thousand feet...?"

"That’s impossible! Even the strongest of the Stormveil disciples couldn’t—"

The Stormveil Academy’s young prodigies, who had spent the entire morning sneering with arrogant superiority, were now sitting with incredulous expressions.

The handsome disciple who had been admiring Seris moments ago had his jaw hanging open.

However, the most spectacular reaction belonged to Calanthe.

Her face, which had just moments ago borne a mocking sneer, had now turned a shade of green.

"This...this cannot be true," She mumbled in disbelief, "Maybe I should give it another look...’

Calanthe forced herself to tilt her head all the way up to the top of the pillar and re-examine the height again.

Ten. Thousand. Feet.

Looking at the towering light that reached up to the sky, Calanthe felt as if an invisible, heavy hand had fiercely slapped her across the face.

The commoner stands descended into absolute chaos. Men and women were on their feet, pointing at the sky with disbelief.

"TEN THOUSAND FEET! TEN THOUSAND FEET!"

"Am I dreaming?! Someone slap me! SLAP ME!"

"That’s... that’s impossible! The tablet must be broken!"

"Broken your head! That is the Stormveil Academy’s supreme artifact! Look at the light! It pierced through the clouds! When has a malfunction ever done THAT?"

"No wonder she looked like an immortal fairy. She IS one!"

To the crowd of the Outer Frontier, Seris was already an untouchable, otherworldly fairy based on her peerless appearance alone.

But seeing her shatter the Origin Insight Tablet’s measure into the stratosphere had now rose their reverence to a fanatical level.

In their hearts, she was no longer just a genius; she was a divine being worthy of their worship!

In the candidate staging area, Sylvan also stared at the silver-blue light fixedly.

The proud, smug expression he had worn after his one-hundred-and-fifty-foot result had been completely annihilated.

One hundred and fifty feet.

He had been so proud. So unshakably confident that his result was the pinnacle of Mirravele City’s talent.

And now, the quiet, veiled girl who had defeated him in his own clan’s training grounds had produced a result that was not twice his, not ten times his, but sixty-six times greater.

The gap between them was like a puddle and the ocean.

Nearby, Liana stood with both hands pressed against her mouth, "Seris really is extraordinary!"

Up on the high seats, Cassian had already stood up, his majestic bearing entirely discarded as he looked down at the girl below.

Patriarch Aurelian and the Solari Patriarch also stood frozen next to him, not even remembering to breathe.

They had ruled Mirravele City for decades, believing they had seen all kinds of talents.

Yet, standing before this towering ten-thousand-foot pillar of light, their worldviews shattered entirely, leaving them feeling like ignorant frogs looking up at the vast sky from the bottom of a well.

But their shock was nothing compared to Fabian.

The half-step Domain Master Realm expert whose mere presence had made the three titans of Mirravele City bow their heads was now repeating a single word like a maniac, "Impossible... Impossible... Impossible..."

In all the centuries of the Stormveil Academy’s history, the highest record ever recorded on an Origin Insight Tablet had been seven thousand feet—a result achieved by a once-in-a-millennium genius who possessed a pseudo-Heavenly Physique, a prodigy who had gone on to become one of the Academy’s most legendary figures.

But this girl had shattered that record by three thousand feet.

There was only one explanation. Only one physique in all of existence could produce such an unfathomable result.

"A... a True Heavenly Physique," Fabian gasped, his entire body shaking as the realization struck his soul like a divine thunderbolt.

In the entire recorded history of the Solathane Dynasty,

True Heavenly Physiques had appeared fewer than a dozen times.

Each individual who possessed one had gone on to reshape the political and martial landscape of the entire dynasty.

Wars had been fought over them. Empires had risen and fallen because of them.

And one had just appeared in the remote Outer Frontier.

Fabian didn’t waste another second.

With a movement so swift that even the Core Formation patriarchs hardly registered it, the half-step Domain Master elder vanished from the elevated platform and reappeared directly on the arena floor, standing less than ten feet from Seris.

His burning gaze was locked entirely onto Seris, his previous cold indiffrence was nowhere to seen.

"Child," Fabian said, his voice carrying an unexpected gentleness and urgency, "What is your name?"

Seris, still dazed by the explosive reaction of the tablet, blinked her pale purple eyes. "Se... Seris."

"Seris, that’s a very beautiful name," Fabian nodded rapidly, as if committing the name to memory. "I hereby declare that all remaining trials are dismissed for you. There is no test in my possession that could possibly add to what the Origin Insight Tablet has already shown. To subject you to further examination would be an insult to your innate gift."

The Colosseum buzzed with incredulous whispers.

Dismissed from the trials?

But Fabian wasn’t finished.

"Furthermore," Fabian continued, raising his voice so that every person in the Colosseum could hear, "upon our return to the Stormveil Academy, I will personally submit a formal recommendation for you. Once we confirm the exact nature of your physique, you will immediately be crowned as a Core Palace disciple!" 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

A Core Palace Disciple!

Up on the viewing platform, Calanthe and the other Stormveil youths nearly rolled down on the floor.

Even among the elite geniuses of the Stormveil Academy, becoming a Core Palace Disciple was an honor that required years of hard work, and brutal competition.

It was impossible unless you have late stage Spirit Manifestation Realm.

Of all the disciples present, they were just Inner Palace disciples.

And this girl was being handed the Core Palace title before she even stepped foot inside the Academy!

Fabian looked at Seris eagerly, waiting for her to fall to her knees and weep with gratitude over this monumental, god-sent opportunity.

But to Fabian’s utter bewilderment, Seris did not look excited at all.

Instead, her beautiful pale purple eyes completely ignored the half-step Domain Master.

She turned her head, her gaze sweeping past the thousands of awestruck spectators, searching the crowded stands until she found a specific figure sitting calmly in the audience.

Rhain sat leisurely in his seat, entirely unfazed by the commotion.

He met her searching gaze, and smiled fondly, giving her a subtle nod.

A breathtaking smile instantly bloomed across Seris’s flawless face.

It was only after receiving her husband’s silent approval that she finally turned back to the bewildered Elder Fabian.

"Thank you, Elder Fabian," Seris said softly, giving a polite bow of acceptance. "I am honored."

Fabian, still trying to process why a peerless genius with a True Heavenly Physique had suddenly looked back in the stands, quickly shook off his confusion.

Right now, the only thing that mattered was securing this peerless treasure for his Academy.

"Excellent! Excellent!" Fabian laughed heartily, his face practically glowing with joy. He extended his hand respectfully toward the high seats. "Please, Seris! Come with me on the elevated platform. You belong up there now!"

Under the jealous, reverential, and thoroughly spellbound gazes of one hundred thousand people, Seris gracefully ascended the stairs.

She took the most honored seat on the elevated platform.

Stormveil Academy disciples, who had previously looked at the Outer Frontier candidates with utter disdain, now did not even dare to breathe too loudly in her presence.

Fabian cleared his throat, forcing his half-step Domain Master aura to settle the buzzing crowd.

"Ahem! The trial will continue! Next!"

But the atmosphere had fundamentally changed.

After witnessing the birth of a ten-thousand-foot miracle, the standard for astonishment had been hoisted to an unreachable heaven.

One by one, the young talents of Mirravele City stepped onto the platform, their faces tensed.

A few outstanding youths from prominent clans managed to ignite the pillar to one hundred feet, and one even pushed it to an impressive one hundred and eighty feet.

If this had happened an hour ago, the crowd would have burst into enthusiastic applause, loud laughter, and cheers.

But now?

Only a few people authentically clapped, it was quite awkward.

In the face of a true Heavenly Physique, a result of one hundred feet could not even measure up to the mud on the floor.

Even the candidates themselves looked entirely depressed as they stepped down from the platform.

How could anyone possibly compare to a ten-thousand-foot miracle?

Up on the high platform, Seris wasn’t paying attention to the ongoing trials, nor did she care about the sycophantic flattery the city titans were desperately trying to whisper to her.

Her pale purple eyes were fixed entirely on the spectator stands.

She looked at Rhain, her beautiful eyelashes fluttering as she sent him a silent, urging gaze.

"Come up here, husband.’

Rhain saw her expectant look and let out a helpless sigh.

He really couldn’t say no to those eyes.

Rhain slowly stood up from his seat, and casually walked toward the stone tablet.

Because he wasn’t wearing the luxurious robes of a major clan, and his aura was perfectly restrained, his approach drew absolutely no attention.

To the bored spectators and the weary Stormveil disciples, he was just another face in the endless sea of Outer Frontier commoners.

But Rhain felt a sudden, sharp, and heavy gaze locked onto him.

It was Fabian!

Fabian leaned closer, looking at Rhain with deep intrest.

It wasn’t because he found something extraordinary about Rhain, but because he noticed that as soon as Rhain stepped up, Seris’s face immediately lit up with intense anticipation.

Was was his relationship with this peerless genius girl?

Rhain finally stopped before the towering, thirty-foot-tall Origin Insight Tablet.

He looked up at the massive black steel tablet.

This was his wife’s moment of glory.

He had no intention of stealing her hard-earned spotlight by matching or surpassing her ten-thousand-foot pillar.

"But I can’t be too ordinary as well," Rhain muttered.

If he wanted to accompany her to the Inner Province and ensure they weren’t separated by the rigid hierarchy of the Stormveil Academy, he also needed to secure the status of a Core Palace Disciple.

’I just need to output enough to secure the Core Palace status. A thousand feet should be more than enough. I’ll just use a single, highly compressed wisp of my essence.’

He closed his eyes for a fraction of a second.

Instead of unleashing the bottomless, void-like power of his Abyssal Sovereign Physique, he meticulously pinched off a microscopic, hairline thread of his dark essence and directed it into the stone.

RUMBLE—!

The massive, thirty-foot-tall black steel monument suddenly began to vibrate once again.

Fabian, whose eyes were locked on Rhain felt it immediately.

"This tremor again..." Fabian gasped in shock.

It was exactly the same!

The exact same violent vibration that had occurred right before Seris’s ten-thousand-foot miracle!

Calanthe and the other Stormveil disciples also finally focused on Rhain.

City Lord Cassian, and the Solari Patriarch simultaneously, stared down at the stage.

"Unbelievable!" Calanthe exclaimed in a low voice, "Don’t tell me... another one?"
