Chapter 236: Chapter 236: Not The Time to Celebrate, Yet!

The words immediately sparked a fresh wave of chaotic whispering throughout the tightly packed audience.

The cultivators, still riding the high of the frantic bidding war, began talking excitedly among themselves, their faces animated with intense curiosity.

"Another announcement? What could the union possibly have left to reveal after dropping a legendary ninety-three percent purity pill?" a late-stage Foundation Establishment rogue master muttered, leaning eagerly over his armrest.

"I don’t know, but today has been absolutely insane!" another cultivator chattered back frantically.

"First thing in the morning, the Cao Clan drops that massive bombshell with a fifty-percent reduction on all their Tier 0 to Tier 2 pill prices, trying to corner the entire low-end market."

"Then, before anyone can even process it, the Golden Cauldron opens its vaults and auctions off the exact Tier 3 pills they’ve been secretly researching for months!"

"Exactly! The market is shifting so fast my head is spinning! If the union is making a formal announcement right after a successful auction like this, it has to be something that will completely change the power balance of Crimson Iron City!"

The sheer excitement in the hall was electric, a palpable tension vibrating through the air as every eye locked onto the elderly auctioneer.

Everyone was leaning forward, gripping their armrests or craning their necks, starving to know what final card the Golden Cauldron was about to play to reshape the city’s future.

Up on the private viewing balcony, Bai Ruolan leaned her soft, voluptuous weight heavily against the stone railing.

Hidden in the shadows, her delicate fingers playfully twirled a stray strand of her blue hair beneath her black hood.

She looked down at the buzzing, unsuspecting crowd, and a childishly sweet, wicked giggle bubbled up from her chest, causing her ample breasts to tremble beneath her loose white silk robes.

"Hehehe..." she whispered, her bright blue eyes flashing with an eager, ruthless delight. "It’s time for the final blow."

The elderly auctioneer let the silence stretch for a highly theatrical moment, basking in the absolute, breathless attention of the entire hall.

His sharp, wrinkled face split into a wide, thoroughly predatory grin as he raised his hands, palms outward, before gripping the edges of the wooden podium.

"Esteemed colleagues, patrons, and path-seekers of Crimson Iron City!" the old man’s voice thundered, vibrating through the floorboards with a devastating clarity.

"We have witnessed our rivals attempt a desperate, clumsy play this morning. The Cao Clan believes they can choke the life out of our city’s hard-working miners by slashing their low-tier pill prices by fifty percent. They believe they hold the monopoly on the sweat and blood of our people!"

A collective gasp rippled through the audience.

It was rare for the Golden Cauldron to call out their rivals so directly on a public stage.

"But the Golden Cauldron Merchant Union does not merely follow the market," the auctioneer roared, his aura flaring slightly as he leaned forward.

"We dictate it! Therefore, effective immediately across all our grand dispensaries and distribution hubs, the Golden Cauldron will be implementing a permanent price adjustment on all Tier 0, Tier 1, and Tier 2 cultivation medicines. We are lowering our pill prices across the board with a staggering fifty-one percent discount!"

For a fraction of a second, an absolute, dead silence hung over the grand hall as the cultivators’ brains struggled to process the sheer audacity of the number.

Then, the venue completely erupted into total, unmitigated pandemonium.

"Fifty-one percent?!" a rogue cultivator screamed, violently standing up so fast his chair flipped over backward.

"They didn’t just match the Cao Clan... they deliberately undercut them by a full percentage point!"

"Heavens! A fifty-one percent discount on the union’s pills?! The Golden Cauldron’s alchemical standards are miles ahead of the Cao Clan’s mass-produced pills! If the prices are lower, who in their right mind would ever buy a single pill from the Cao Clan again?!"

"This isn’t a price war anymore! This is an execution! The union is completely stomping them into the dirt!"

The sheer financial genius of the trap slammed into the minds of every merchant chief and sect elder present.

By waiting until the afternoon to announce the fifty-one percent slash, the union had allowed the Cao Clan to foolishly exhaust their liquid capital all morning, locking themselves into a suicidal pricing structure they could no longer afford to maintain against a cheaper, vastly superior competitor.

Up on the private viewing balcony, Bai Ruolan threw her head back, a loud, ringing laugh of pure, unadulterated triumph bursting from her throat.

She happily clapped her hands, her voluptuous figure bouncing with a wild, childish glee as she watched the crowd down below turn into a frantic frenzy of people rushing toward the exits to buy up the discounted stocks.

"Haha! Look at them run, Senior Brother Mo!" she cheered, her bright blue eyes shimmering with a ruthless delight as she tightly grabbed his arm.

"Fifty-one percent! It’s perfect! The Cao Clan thought they were clever, but we just turned their entire campaign into their own funeral pyre!"

Shen Yu stood beside her, his arms crossed loosely inside his deep black sleeves.

Beneath the dark shadow of his hood, his hidden golden pupils gleamed with an eccentric, deeply satisfied amusement.

The chaotic roars of the stampeding crowd below were like music to his ears.

"A single percentage point is all it takes to shift a mountain, Little Alchemist," Shen Yu murmured, a thoroughly wicked, playful smirk curling his lips beneath the shadow of his hood.

"The Cao Clan spent their entire treasury to buy a stage today... they just didn’t realize they were building the scaffold for their own hanging."

Down below, the grand hall was completely emptying out in a matter of minutes.

Cultivators were practically trampling one another to get out of the doors, desperate to be the first in line at the Golden Cauldron’s retail dispensaries before the initial waves of the fifty-one percent discounted stocks were entirely swept clean.

The manic energy of greed had transformed into a commercial stampede.

Bai Ruolan gradually calmed her bouncing, ecstatic breathing, though her cheeks remained flushed a beautiful, vibrant pink from the sheer exhilaration of the victory.

She turned her body toward Shen Yu, her heavy breasts settling softly beneath her loose white silk robes as she looked up at him with an adoring, childishly bright gaze.

"Senior Brother Mo, you are absolutely terrifying," she teased, though her voice held nothing but immense respect and a hint of playful fondness.

"The Cao Clan is finished. Even if their clan leader begs on his knees, no merchant or rogue miner will ever buy from them again. What do we do now? Go back and celebrate?"

’Celebrate? heh, it’s still not the time for it,’ Shen Yu thought.
