According to the convoy’s rules.

Especially for the survivors on Bus Number Five and Bus Number Six, the supplies they obtained had to be partially handed over to the convoy managers for unified distribution.

Part of it could be kept as private property.

You had to remember, this was the apocalypse now.

Even the Fair Convoy couldn’t achieve one hundred percent fairness.

Within the convoy, many people with abundant supplies were living even more comfortably than before the apocalypse.

As long as you had supplies in hand, you could enjoy a completely different life from before the apocalypse.

Of course, this was after Xue Nan couldn’t stand it anymore and imposed some slight control.

Even so, in the convoy, people with supplies lived much, much more comfortably than those without.

Previously at the Oasis, they had learned about the conditions of other convoys.

Some convoys had rules that were more than a hundred times darker than the Fair Convoy.

Those people with supplies practically became the top figures beneath the Transcendents within their convoys.

“Anyone who wants to go scavenge supplies, come over here and register with me!”

“Those not scavenging, wait here in place.”

“The entire scavenging process will take two hours. After two hours, whether you’re out or not, we’re leaving!”

“Everyone, remember: don’t fall behind! Don’t fall behind! Don’t fall behind!”

Xue Nan held a loudspeaker, repeatedly going over the scavenging instructions.

The small village by the roadside ahead clearly couldn’t be driven into by vehicle.

Many roads had already collapsed and sunk.

The original concrete road surface was now covered in spiderweb cracks, with yellowish-brown soil exposed through those fissures.

Many buildings had collapsed, with rubble and construction materials scattered along the roadside.

And many places were overgrown with weeds.

Of course, that wasn’t to say this kind of collapse could stop the convoy that had emerged from the Sea of Chaotic Graves.

If they drove the vehicles in, it might actually hinder scavenging efficiency.

Letting everyone use their own initiative might yield better results.

Moreover, Bus Number Five and Bus Number Six, these two migration vehicles, were far too massive to possibly enter.

Time was limited, and spending it on clearing roads would be far more loss than gain.

It was also about to get dark.

It was clear that before the apocalypse, this village had been quite lively, probably housing over a thousand permanent residents.

There were also a couple of small convenience stores in the village.

Likely, the supplies that could be scavenged from this village weren’t much.

“Squad Leader Chu, this village doesn’t look like it has much to offer, huh?”

Chen Ye said, stroking his chin.

“Even a mosquito leg is still meat! Since we’ve run into it anyway, we might as well grab what we can.”

“No danger here?”

“Not much danger. In my senses, there are at most two Anomalies here, and they’re not strong!”

So that was it!

Chen Ye understood; he figured it was only because there was little danger here that they considered making a quick grab.

Besides Bus Number Five and Bus Number Six.

Chen Ye, Sun Xixi, and Ding Dong each drove their vehicles as close to the village as possible.

The few of them quickly got out and started rushing toward the village.

Iron Lion still had a massive backpack strapped to his back.

This backpack looked like a deflated small mountain.

Chen Ye didn’t hold back either, a cigarette dangling from his lips as flames flickered. Behind him followed several blurry human figures.

These figures were all composed of smoke, their heads a shapeless, foggy blur.

They looked clumsy but moved swiftly.

And each one carried a backpack, big or small, on their backs.

Of course, not all these backpacks belonged to Chen Ye.

Many were borrowed from other survivors.

Once supplies were scavenged, they’d have to share some with them.

At this moment, Chen Ye looked just like a gang boss from a movie, leading his minions to ransack a village.

As for Sun Xixi, that girl was stepping on her flying sword, her whole body like a bolt of lightning, with a large backpack on her back too.

Their destination was unanimous—the two small convenience stores in the village.

Typically, small stores in villages didn’t have anything flashy.

Mostly, they stocked some grains, flour, oil, and such.

Even if those items had expired, as long as they weren’t moldy, they could still be eaten.

Even if they were moldy, they could still be fed to the meatworms.

Meatworms were very interested in human food.

Besides, these small village stores might also have plenty of things the convoy could use.

The convoy had developed to its current scale. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Although food was still the most urgent need, other supplies were also indispensable.

Chu Che had said this village only had two Anomalies, and they weren’t strong.

So, there was no need for everyone to be overly cautious.

Iron Lion directly kicked the convenience store door to pieces.

His whole body charged straight in.

That guy was a big brute, and the store door burst apart from his entrance.

Chen Ye snapped his fingers.

The smoke human figures rushed in like mad.

It took less than three minutes.

Iron Lion crashed through the store door again and burst out, mumbling under his breath.

“Hey, Iron Lion, anything in there?”

“Not much…”

Chen Ye’s gray human figures also came out.

Looking at the backpacks on their backs, they were clearly all deflated.

Sun Xixi’s figure flickered, stepping on her flying sword as she shot toward the other side of the village.

Xu Lina followed closely behind, her backpack also sizable.

But from the look of her, this large backpack didn’t seem to be much of a burden for her.

Especially the tail behind her head, constantly swaying back and forth.

Clearly, it provided her with strong balance.

It was obvious this woman moved very swiftly.

Even if she couldn’t match Ding Dong, she was still countless times better than an ordinary person.

Suddenly, Xu Lina’s tail lashed out, directly wrapping around a nearby large tree, swinging her whole body forward.

This woman moved like an agile deer in the forest.

But just then, a dark figure emitting a cold, sinister laugh appeared on the rooftop nearby.

This was a person who looked as if drenched by heavy rain, wearing a raincoat whose surface was soaked.

It seemed as if rain kept falling from the void itself.

Even though it was daytime, this dark figure still radiated bone-chilling cold.

Some black liquid dripped along the dark figure’s—

“You all hurry up, I’ll handle this one!”

Ding Dong appeared and threw a punch straight at the dark figure.

Little did they know, there was more than one dark figure.

Another one appeared on the opposite side, blocking Xu Lina’s path.

Xu Lina’s expression tightened, but before she could react.

Chen Ye’s calm voice rang out: “You go first, I’ll take care of this one!”

It wasn’t that Chen Ye was feeling charitable.

Rather, this Anomaly wasn’t strong for him, but for Xu Lina, it was still quite troublesome.

If Xu Lina dealt with it, it would waste a lot of time.

Cutting through the knot quickly was the most important thing—saving time.

The fight itself wasn’t much to talk about.

With the strength of a Blood Moon Lord at Sequence 3, handling a Raincoat Anomaly was a piece of cake.

Although Ding Dong was still at Sequence 2, her combat instincts were very sharp.

That Raincoat Anomaly didn’t cause her much trouble either.

But there really wasn’t much supplies in this village.

Two hours later, when everyone piled up the collected supplies, they didn’t even fill half of Ding Dong’s panel van.

Seeing that time was up, everyone had no choice but to leave helplessly.

Captain Chu had to stick to the original plan—find a larger place to scavenge supplies.

At the very least, fill up all the vehicles in the convoy that could carry cargo.

Then head toward Xi City.

There would surely be convoys gathering there.

Maybe they could even trade for some good stuff!
