Chapter 442: Oh Brother
"Step aside." Apollo said coldly. "This matter is between the Valdi Dukedom and Grey Temolt."
"You hear that?" Amunet said.
Grey groaned ahead in response, touching his back. "I’ve been harmed beyond repair. How can I fight like this?"
"Well you’re going to have to because I’m definitely stepping aside."
"While you’re at it, remember to tell my harem that I loved each one of them equally. Don’t forget to name my first child after me, my ego needs it."
Amunet sputtered with laughter beside herself before she remembered that apparently she was part of this harem.
Apollo’s gaze flashed with fury.
He had acted on instinct to get here fast enough. As Grey knew because he had used it before, the Valdi had a teleportation platform outside of the city. Usually, it was used to receive One Line Vessels and to send them out.
It wasn’t technically a teleportation platform in the strictest of senses, but it was often called this.
Apollo and Raze had already been prepared before. The instant Apollo heard the commotion, he teleported to block them here.
The way he saw it, if the commotion was related to Grey, then he would get the result he wanted. If it wasn’t related to Grey, then he would get merit for helping out with whatever it was.
No matter what, he won.
And right now, he was winning.
He raised his hand and the Valdi stood at attention, their spears piercing toward the skies along with their backs.
The ballista bolts had stopped coming, but a new troop of guards was coming to pincer them from the back.
Finally seemingly realizing that the situation was getting serious, Grey groaned and stood up. He stretched out his back like an old man and tested out his knees.
He nodded to himself. His healing factor was pretty damn good these days. His knees weren’t back to 100% and they were a bit sore, but they weren’t as weak as before.
"Alright." Grey cracked his neck. "You tell me, do you want the ones ahead of us or behind us."
"These guys look like they have beef with you. That’s all you."
"... Why does it sound like you’re saying that because they’re stronger than a couple of security guards?"
Amunet blinked innocently. "What do you mean? You’d think a man with a harem would have better protective instinct than this. Why would you accuse me of such a thing?"
"It doesn’t sound like they’re taking us too seriously." A dark chuckle cut them off.
"Listen, man," Grey said, looking toward Raze. Then he pointed at his teeth with a finger. "If you’re jealous about the lack of women, maybe a less creepy set of teeth would do you some good. Have you heard of a dentist? You look a little slow, I can spell it out for you if you want."
Raze began to laugh uproariously before taking a step forward that shook the land.
Amunet patted Grey’s shoulder. "All you."
Then she dashed toward the guards speeding toward them.
"With pleasure." Grey grinned.
These people were getting in his way and he wasn’t about to let that slide.
"I heard that you gave my junior disciple brother a bad time. Show me—."
BANG.
Grey’s fist drove into Raze’s gut. The distance between them closed in a fleeting instant, hanging on little more than a wisp of time between breaths.
Butterfly wings raged and rampaged behind Grey, his body pulsing with lines of red gold.
"Well... that didn’t feel right."
Raze loomed tall over Grey, the former’s body bent back just the slightest bit. But he didn’t fly away, and his stomach felt... like a wall of steel.
"Oh brother, it’s another one of these guys."
"You know, it’s rude to attack while someone is speaking." Raze said slowly.
"And it’s pretty stupid to aura farm when you could be attacking." Grey replied.
BOOM.
Grey’s Helm Frame appeared, digitizing over his face with a swipe of his hand. His Pimp Gloves and Steel-Toe Spikes appeared moments afterward.
His power skyrocketed.

Grey punched again and this time Raze’s eyes bulged from their sockets, his body keeling over and a projectile of blood that was dark beyond reason coming from his mouth.
The blood pelted against the ground as though the iron in it was truly heavy. It sounded almost like a scattering rain of bullets.
BANG.
Grey hooked his fist across Raze’s jaw.
BANG.
He hooked another fist from the other side.
BANG.
He drove a knee right up and through his chin.
Raze lost consciousness for a brief moment, his enormous body slowly toppling over and landing on the ground with a heavy thud.
Raze blinked, staring up at the skies.
And then he began to laugh uproariously.
