Chapter 29: Chapter 29: Wow, Such High Efficiency

Henry Lewis’s tone made Faye Yardley uncomfortable, so she decisively deleted him from her friends list.

She wasn’t the type to get bogged down by overthinking things. As far as she was concerned, if someone made her uncomfortable, it was definitely their problem.

Since she already knew he was the problem, why waste a spot on her friends list?

When Henry Lewis tried to message Faye Yardley again, he discovered he could no longer find her.

"Damn it, that bitch! She actually blocked and deleted me?!"

So, he went straight to his junior brother. "Junior Brother, is your female boss out of her mind?"

Gavin Donovan replied, "Second Senior Brother, the boss is a very nice person. She’s easy to talk to and generous. Besides, Master said we’re not allowed to judge others like that. Don’t forget."

Henry Lewis was speechless.

He turned and went to find Zephyr Sterling. "First Senior Brother, did our junior brother’s boss reject you too?"

"Yes. Focus on your Cultivation and avoid being impetuous. You must not speak ill of others behind their backs."

Henry Lewis was speechless.

Faye Yardley, of course, had no idea that deleting Henry Lewis on a gut feeling would lead to him trying—and failing—to slander her behind her back.

Even if she had known, she wouldn’t have cared. It would only have confirmed that her intuition was spot-on.

She wasn’t hungry and didn’t feel like eating. Faye thought for a moment. She had also given the blueprints for the long blade and long spear to Zachary Pierce. They had signed a similar contract, giving her a cut of every weapon sold.

With more and more collaborations, she wondered if Zachary Pierce’s workshop could handle the production schedule.

But that wasn’t her concern. Zachary Pierce would surely have it all arranged.

The outdoor solar light. After thinking for a bit and examining the 3D model of her raft in the system, she installed it on the wall of the Wooden House on the same side as the rain shelter.

The Wooden House was six meters long and the rain shelter was four meters, leaving over two meters of space. Installing a solar light wasn’t a problem.

Plus, it would provide much better visibility if she wanted to go night fishing in the future.

The Small Garbage Recycling Bin was naturally placed between the sofa and the swing chair, making it convenient to throw away trash.

After all, those were the two spots she spent most of her time.

After a quick tidy-up, she checked the time. It was almost 7:00 PM.

Gavin Donovan’s video call came in right on time at 6:59 PM.

"Boss, it’s time to start warming up for your workout. Remember to open the four-directional view so I can see if your form is correct."

"Okay."

Since she needed to exercise, Faye Yardley temporarily moved the sofa over to the storage cabinet to clear some space.

Gavin Donovan’s jaw nearly dropped with envy as he looked at her indoor setup, but his admiration was fleeting. He quickly focused his attention back on Faye Yardley.

"Boss, even with warm-up exercises, it’s best to be as precise as possible. Please follow my lead."

"Okay."

The workout lasted a full two hours. By the time she hung up, Faye Yardley was as drenched as if she’d just been pulled out of the water.

She pushed through the soreness and went into the bathroom for a shower.

When she came out, she was once again a clean and refreshed beauty.

’But aside from the soreness, I’m starving after that workout.’

After eating two Delicious Little Breads, she thought for a moment, then went back to her room and lay down on the bed. It was more comfortable and better for recovering her energy.

It was only a little after 9:00 PM. She didn’t want to sleep so early and decided to check her messages.

When she looked, she saw that she had been mentioned many times in both her friends list and the group chat.

She opened her friends list.

Zachary Pierce had sent her a Red Envelope with a message: "Here are the finished products. Keep what you need, feel free to sell the rest."

Faye Yardley tapped to claim it. A list of items appeared in her inventory: Basic Long Blade x2, Intermediate Long Spear x2, Fire Pit x1, Antidote x2, Guardian Sanitary Napkin x5.

’Wow, that’s a lot of stuff.’

’Looks like they’re really efficient.’

Then she checked her other messages.

Wade Warren: "Yardley, are you able to produce Pure Water consistently? Could you sell me two bottles a day on a regular basis?"

Bonnie Callahan: "Hon, thank you! I knew you were an angel. The big shot specifically designated me as the recipient in the group, trading the sanitary napkins to me and mentioning it was your suggestion. Thanks! Mwah!"

Seeing Bonnie Callahan’s message, Faye Yardley found it a little amusing. ’Mr. Pierce could have just sold them to whomever. Why go through the trouble of saying it was specifically for Bonnie on my behalf?’

She searched the trading market. There were no more sanitary napkins listed for trade; they must have all sold out.

She glanced at the regional channel and, sure enough, there were a few posts about the sanitary napkins being for sale. Those who missed out were still shouting for the seller, Eleanor Jonas, to post more.

Faye Yardley didn’t recognize the seller’s name. She figured it must be someone on Zachary Pierce’s team in charge of external sales.

After some thought, Faye Yardley replied to both of them.

"Mr. Warren, if it’s just two bottles, I can do that."

"Miss Callahan, no need to be so polite. Mr. Pierce was just looking out for a fellow group member."

The moment she sent it, Bonnie Callahan messaged her back in an excited tone: "Hon, you don’t have to be so modest! If it weren’t for you, how would the big shot even know who I am? You have no idea how popular they were. They were gone the second they were listed. I could never beat those people in a speed contest."

Faye Yardley chuckled. "Well, you don’t have to worry now, right? Get some rest."

"Mhm, okay! I won’t disturb your rest then."

Faye didn’t check the group messages. She yawned, her head tilted to the side, and she fell right asleep.

Going to bed early meant waking up early.

For the first time, Faye Yardley woke up naturally at 3:30 in the morning.

’It’s so early.’

Still, Faye Yardley decided to get up. She wanted to work out for two hours before dawn, which made the timing perfect.

Because it was so early, Faye Yardley didn’t call Gavin Donovan to train with her.

Instead, after a simple wash-up and a bowl of sweet tofu pudding for breakfast, she started moving along with a recorded video.

She watched the video, using the system as a mirror to compare her movements, trying her best to make every action perfect.

You really get immersed in a workout, and time flies by without you noticing.

Since no one was supervising and she was relying entirely on herself, she didn’t rush. It wasn’t until after 6:00 AM that she finished, dripping with sweat.

Just like the day before, she was extremely hungry in addition to her aching muscles.

Although it was time to fish for treasure chests, Faye Yardley decided to make herself a bowl of deluxe ramen first. In addition to the seasoning packets, she added lobster meat, shrimp roe, celtuce, and an egg.

She even took a picture of this breakfast. It wasn’t to make anyone jealous; she just thought that when she met her brother in the future, she could show him that she had been living well from the very beginning.

After a quick rinse and finishing her deluxe ramen, Faye Yardley felt full of energy again.

She pushed the door open and murmured to herself, "Day five. The weather is great today. It feels like the temperature has risen just a little bit."

Faye Yardley took out her fishing rod and turned, heading back toward the rain shelter.
