Chapter 153: Chapter 153: Brother, Look at Him...

Faye Yardley, who had gone to bed early, woke up at 3 AM the next day. As soon as she was up, she rushed into the training room.

She showered, ate breakfast, and by the time she had everything ready, it was only 6:40 AM.

But by this time, the sky was already bright, and the temperature had reached 30°C.

Sitting under the thatched shelter to fish, Faye Yardley was in a pretty good mood.

Two thatched shelters really did provide more shade than one.

Not long after sitting down, Faye Yardley fished up a Wooden Treasure Chest. She turned to look at the rainbow balloon tied to the horn on Goliath’s raised head. ’So this thing really does increase the treasure chest spawn rate.’

In the next hour and a half, right up until Gavin Donovan sent her an invitation, she managed to fish up three wooden chests, one iron chest, and a variety of seafood.

Her luck was absolutely off the charts today.

The moment after she accepted the invitation, she appeared on Gavin Donovan’s raft.

Zephyr Sterling arrived at the same time.

The two exchanged a look and greeted each other.

Gavin Donovan had already opened the door. "Senior Brother, Boss, come on in."

The temperature dropped the moment they stepped inside.

"Make yourselves comfortable. I’ll go get something to drink."

Faye Yardley didn’t stand on ceremony and sat right down in an armchair in his living room.

Zephyr Sterling chose the seat opposite her.

"Mr. Sterling, hello. I’m Faye Yardley."

"I know. We’ve spoken and seen each other on video calls," Zephyr Sterling said earnestly. "And thank you. If it weren’t for you, my junior brother wouldn’t be living so well right now."

"You’re too kind, Mr. Sterling. Donovan and I have a mutually beneficial relationship. If he hadn’t been willing to teach me, my journey wouldn’t have been this smooth either."

Just then, Gavin Donovan came over with tea. "I say, Senior Brother, Boss, you two don’t have to be so formal with each other. Drink up, drink up."

After one sip, Faye Yardley knew that Gavin Donovan had put golden petals in the tea.

Zephyr Sterling took a small sip, and his eyes lit up. You can tell good quality with a single taste. "Good tea."

Faye Yardley smiled faintly and said, "I was wondering, Mr. Sterling, if you have any interest in joining my brother’s team and keeping Donovan company?"

Before he could answer, she continued, "Mr. Sterling, no need to refuse right away. Their rafts are all gathered together. Later, you can have Donovan take you over to my brother’s place to have a look. If you’re interested, you’ll need to discuss it with them yourselves. I actually have something else I’d like to ask you about, Mr. Sterling."

"Please, go ahead."

Gavin Donovan also gave Faye Yardley a surprised look.

"I was wondering, Mr. Sterling, are you familiar with things like the Five Elements and Eight Trigrams divination?"

"I know a little."

Faye Yardley took out a Dungeon 2 Invitation Card and handed it over. "The first clear for this Dungeon 2 was by foreigners, and we haven’t heard any news about it over here. It’s possible others have cleared it, but I just don’t know. Could I trouble you, Mr. Sterling, to take a look and offer some potential theories based on the image?"

The image on one side of the Invitation Card depicted a few disembodied heads hanging from dead trees under a gloomy, gray sky, swaying back and forth...

Zephyr Sterling looked at the image, then began making calculations with one hand.

"This probably isn’t a world of the undead. It’s more like a place from old Western legends where Vampires exist. Vampires are not easy to deal with; they have powerful self-healing abilities. Please be cautious if you enter this Dungeon." As he spoke, Zephyr Sterling handed the Dungeon Invitation Card back.

Gavin Donovan let out a gasp. "Vampires? I’ve heard they’re afraid of Silver and sunlight. It’s a shame this is a solo card, or I’d want to go with you, Boss."

Faye Yardley took the card back, stored it in her inventory, and offered a sincere thank you. "Thank you, Mr. Sterling. I have a much better idea of what to expect now. I’m going to go find my brother. I won’t disturb your reunion."

As she stood up, she didn’t forget to pick up her tea and drain it in one gulp. ’Good tea shouldn’t be wasted.’

"Boss, remember to come back for lunch later!"

"Okay."

After leaving Gavin Donovan’s raft, Faye Yardley saw Graham Quinn on the nearest raft, waving at her. "Sis, just jump on over."

Faye Yardley smiled faintly and, without refusing, jumped directly onto his raft. She looked around. "You didn’t invite anyone over?"

"Haha, I’ve only got my grandpa, and he has to wait for the second batch at the end of the month. As for my other fair-weather friends, it’s better not to contact them. No point inviting them just to have them get all red-eyed with jealousy."

Faye Yardley gave him a thumbs-up. "Now that’s some insight, Mr. Quinn!"

"So you accepted Donovan’s invitation, and now you’re heading to your brother’s place?"

"Yep. Want to come along, Mr. Quinn?"

"Sure, why not. It’s not like the big boss invited anyone anyway."

Arriving at Ethan Yardley’s raft, Rainie Yardley led the two into the living room. After serving them tea, she said to Faye Yardley, "Sister, Big Brother went into the training room. He’ll be out in 37 minutes."

"Okay, thank you for letting me know. Does Big Brother have any plans to invite other people here?"

Rainie Yardley shook her head. "I’m not sure about that. Big Brother hasn’t mentioned it."

Graham Quinn asked, "Don’t you have anyone you want to invite, sis?"

Faye Yardley just smiled and said bluntly, "I do. I’m inviting my brother to come keep me company."

"Hahaha! Fair enough, fair enough. If you know any single ladies, don’t forget about Mr. Quinn here."

"Mm, okay. What’s your type, Mr. Quinn?"

And so, the two of them actually started chatting just like that. It wasn’t boring or a waste of time in the slightest. People need to relax sometimes, after all.

When Ethan Yardley finished his training, Graham Quinn got up to say his goodbyes, as he was planning to use the training room himself. Finding a girlfriend was one thing, but self-improvement could never stop.

"Hey, little sister, haven’t seen you for a day and you’ve gotten even prettier." Tiberius casually walked over and sat down next to Faye Yardley.

It had to be said, as expected of someone who could freeze himself, he really did radiate a natural chill.

Ethan Yardley’s face darkened. "Stay away from my sister."

"Your sister is my sister. Don’t worry. Now go take a shower, you reek. Pathetic that such a short workout wore you out so much."

Ethan Yardley’s face grew even darker.

Faye Yardley saw that her brother’s hair was literally dripping with sweat and said with a smile, "Big Brother, why don’t you go rinse off first."

Once her brother had gone into his room, Faye Yardley turned to Tiberius, her expression flat. "Aren’t you going to go back to your own world?"

"It’s pretty fun here. Besides, Ethan and I have a mutually beneficial arrangement. Don’t you think your brother is stronger now than he was before?"

Faye Yardley snorted. "I can’t see it."

"Tsk tsk, you have poor judgment. How about I give you a few pointers?"

"No thanks. For all I know, you couldn’t even beat me."

Tiberius gave her a direct thumbs-up. "The last person who said they could beat me is no longer around."

Faye Yardley let out a short, derisive laugh.

"Hey, hey, hey. If you hadn’t pulled me into this world, and if I hadn’t coincidentally signed a contract with your brother, an attitude like yours—showing such contempt for me—would definitely be punished."

"Big Brother, Tiberius said he’s going to hit me!" The moment Faye Yardley saw her brother come out of his room, she immediately tattled on him in a loud voice.

Tiberius stared at Faye Yardley in disbelief. "Hey, don’t talk nonsense! When did I ever say I was going to hit you?"

"Hmph, you did too! And you threatened me!" Faye Yardley turned and made a face at Tiberius, then spun back to her brother. "Big Brother, look at him! He looks like he’s going to eat me alive!"
