Chapter 235: World Driting Championship

While his parents were doing extra curriculum activities in the name of healing, Qie Xieling was knocked out.

The moment the bar filled up and the system announced that the second game world was initiated he was jolted awake by what felt like an electric current.

Qie Xieling’s eyes blinked open to the deafening howl of a roaring engine, instantly disorienting him. He found himself strapped into the driver’s seat of a sleek race car, hurtling through a high-speed race on an unfamiliar track. The adrenaline coursed through his veins, but his mind was clouded with confusion, his emotions spiralling out of control.

As Qie Xieling gripped the steering wheel, his knuckles turning white, he realised with a mix of astonishment and disbelief that the game character he had inhabited possessed a level of expertise previously unknown to him.

The character’s instincts kicked in, guiding Qie Xieling’s hands and feet as if they had done this a thousand times before. Swerving and drifting through sharp turns, Qie Xieling narrowly avoided a collision with another car, his heart pounding against his ribcage.

The acrid smell of burning rubber filled the air, the smoke enveloping the car, making it difficult for Qie Xieling to breathe. It was a suffocating and terrifying experience, but he couldn’t afford the luxury of panic. He had to rely on the character’s knowledge and trust in their abilities.

In his ear, a voice echoed amidst the chaos, urging him forward with encouraging words. Qie Xieling strained to focus on the voice, his senses honing in as he realised it was Bo Ailun egging him on. Qie Xieling felt a great sense of ease knowing that this time Bo Ailun was on his team.

"You’ve got this!" the voice boomed, its excitement cutting through the air. "Hold your nerve and stay focused! You’re a natural behind the wheel!"

The words infused Qie Xieling with a renewed sense of determination. He gritted his teeth, clenching the steering wheel with unwavering determination.

When the two cars were aligned he looked out of the window and met the eyes of the other driver in the other car. Unlike him, he seemed frustrated. He beat at his steering wheel before Qie Xieling drove past him.

With each turn of the wheel, he gained more control, gliding through the course with a growing sense of confidence. As the race continued, the initial confusion and fear gave way to an exhilarating thrill. The world outside the car became a blur, colours melding together, and the cheers of the crowd melded with the sound of the roaring engine. Qie Xieling realised that in this game world, he had a chance to experience something truly extraordinary.

It turns out he came into this world in the middle of participating in a world drifting championship, which was famous for its high-speed races, thrilling power slides around corners with the front wheels turned away from the curbs, and billowing white smoke from the rear tires. Drifting was an impressive display of driving skills and he was now a part of it.

He heard Boran screaming, "YES YES YESSSSS!!!!" in his ear as he drove past the finishing line.

Qie Xieling’s heart raced the roaring engine of his car gradually fading into a contented purr. His hands trembled, a telltale sign of the intense adrenaline coursing through his veins. It was a moment of pure exhilaration, a sweet victory that seemed to hang in the air.

Taking a deep breath, Qie Xieling gingerly applied the brakes, his foot showing the same precision he had exhibited throughout the race. As the car came to a graceful halt, he finally allowed himself a moment to absorb the overwhelming atmosphere. The victorious scent of triumph mingled with the tire smoke that lingered in the air, heightening his senses.

Outside the confines of his vehicle, the crowd erupted into a resounding chorus of cheers, the sound enveloping him like a warm embrace. His name reverberated through the stadium, each call serving as a testament to his skill and unwavering dedication.

The commentators, their voices filled with excitement, painted a vivid picture of the enthralling spectacle that had just unfolded on the track.

Unlike the grand prix races, the drifting championship placed more emphasis on precision rather than sheer speed. It was a delicate dance between control and audacity. The judges were not only impressed by the speed at which the finish line was approached but also by the artistry displayed in executing flawless corners.

The crowd understood this implicitly. Every manoeuvre he had executed, every drift and swerve, had been flawlessly calculated. He pushed the boundaries of physics to their very limits, his foot pressed firmly on the throttle while prudently avoiding the brake pedal. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

The judges themselves recognised the undeniable brilliance of his performance. While they awarded points for qualifying runs, it was abundantly clear to everyone present that he was the definitive winner of the championship.

As the cheers grew louder his rival got out of his car and aggressively rushed over to his car window.

BANG!...

The sound of a body banging against the door brought him back to reality. When he glanced over he was met by a man twice his size beating the glass intending to break it.

BANG BANG BANG!!

"Bitch come out!!" yelled the man and Qie Xieling knew something was wrong. The system hadn’t given him the plotline and he was flying in blind. Just as the glass cracked a group of men ran over to stop him. Among the group of men was Bo Ailun who tackled the guy with ease.

The other man’s pit crew came running and a brawl ensued. In a daze Qie Xieling remained seated in his car, his heart still pounding with the residue of excitement and confusion.

When he saw someone approach Bo Ailun from behind he unbuckled his seat belt and opened the door to protect him. Just like that his instincts kicked in and he was in instant protective mode.

He grabbed the man’s shoulder and hauled him to the ground hard before pulling Bo Ailun behind him. Things escalated from then on but a group of security guards rushed over and pulled them apart.

His rival got up on his feet and yelled, "You son of a bitch. You are dead," bleeding at the corner of his mouth and above his brow. Bo Ailun came from behind Qie Xieling while yelling, "Not if I put you six feet under first!" lunging towards him.

Qie Xieling pulled him back with his hand pressed on Bo Ailun’s chest while talking him down. He didn’t want to say anything until he knew what the hell was going on.
