Back in the Cover Armor stellar space, before Jiu Yan had forged her Dao foundation, Lu Ye had given her this treasure for protection. The Heavenly Net Umbrella had been with her ever since.
But logically, the Protective Power of the Heavenly Net Umbrella should no longer be useful to someone like Jiu Yan.
Based on Lu Ye’s various attempts, the power within affiliated treasures was generally equivalent to only the power of one Dao. Thus, when he absorbed uncanny fire from the fire gourd and Sword Qi from the sword gourd, it only marginally increased his Dao force, nowhere near as efficient as refining a Dao Bone.

"This is..." Lu Ye’s eyes gleamed.
"Attack me!" Jiu Yan tossed the Heavenly Net Umbrella in her hand, and the small umbrella twirled above her head. Its edges draped down with tassel-like defenses, enveloping her completely.
Without hesitation, Lu Ye directed the sword light to attack Jiu Yan.
In an instant, a brilliant explosion occurred, and the sword light dissipated into nothingness. The protective light of the Heavenly Net Umbrella dimmed but did not shatter.
"I see!" Lu Ye realized.
Jiu Yan retracted the Heavenly Net Umbrella, smiling wryly, "I discovered it by accident. By leveraging affiliated treasures, we can exert greater power!"
Take Jiu Yan’s current situation: She’s at the 7th Dao, but using Dao force to control the Heavenly Net Umbrella could provide the protection of the 8th Dao.
