Chapter 258: Reunited (4)

Warning! Mature content.

The bathing chamber door opened, revealing Dante carrying Ophelia in his arms to their bed. They were both soaking wet, leaving a trail of water from the tub to their bed.

Dante gently set Ophelia down on the bed and towered over her. Her laughter filled the bedchamber.

"What is so funny?" Dante asked, wanting to laugh with her.

"I told Alice that you would be tired after a long journey, but that is not the case. Somehow, you are very energetic as if you have just woken up. I have yet to decide if this is good or bad for me," Ophelia said, but she was leaning toward it being good.

Dante held Ophelia’s right leg and raised it to wrap around his waist. "I assure you," Dante stopped to leave a kiss in the valley of her breasts. "It is good for you. I do not need any rest."

"If you fall asleep on me, not only will your body crush me, but I will never let you forget it. Besides, you have prisoners to punish. You!" Ophelia gasped, her hands grabbing hold of Dante’s arms as he penetrated her with ease.

"Do not speak of the prisoners," said Dante.

When Ophelia spoke of prisoners, she now had to think of Nigel. Dante didn’t want Nigel to ever be on Ophelia’s mind ever again, so he moved, filling her again so she could only think of him. So his name was all she should think of.

Ophelia’s head was thrown back, allowing Dante to reach her neck and leave more markings there. He was nowhere close to filling her body with reminders of what occurred now.

Dante was nestled between Ophelia’s parted legs with his left hand keeping her leg around his waist. His movement was slow and steady, as this time he intended to make sweet, passionate love to Ophelia.

He looked forward to Ophelia wrapping her arms around his neck and her nails inevitably marking his back. The last markings she had made last time had already healed, so he was in need of replacements.

Ophelia felt a fluttery sensation in her chest when Dante kissed her body. No part of her body felt left out by the man above her.

"Tell me that you love me," the soft request came from Dante.

"I love you," Ophelia responded without hesitation. She tensed up a little when his body rocked into her own. He was moving slowly compared to how he acted in the tub, yet this felt more passionate. "Wait."

"Wait? Do you want me to stop?" Dante asked, but he didn’t stop moving.

"No," Ophelia answered.

"Say it again," Dante requested, wanting to hear the three words again.

"I love you," Ophelia said, and just like before, Dante’s thrust became a little rougher before going back to his gentle pace. "It’s not fair that you don’t say it."

"I love you. I love you, Ophelia Hastings. My wife," Dante repeated confessions. "I will let you hear it every day."

Dante looked up in time to see an expression he would never forget, and upon looking closely, it appeared Ophelia was on the verge of tears. He never liked to see her crying or think about it, but for this one moment, they were lovely, because he knew why her tears were present.

Dante couldn’t continue with his gentleness. Her love turned him into a madman. He held her closely and thrust his length until his love poured inside her.

On the outside of the bedchamber, Alice stood on guard so no one would interrupt the reunited pair. She hoped that Ophelia had taken her advice to surprise Dante.

"Lord Hastings-"

"No, no," Alice said, blocking the path of the knight approaching the bedchamber. "It wouldn’t be wise of you to disturb them now. Lord Hastings will come out when he is ready."

"It is urgent."

"Is the castle being attacked? Has a prisoner escaped from the dungeon? Unless there is grave danger here in the castle, I suggest you do not show your face to me. You must leave!" Alice said, pointing in the direction for the knight to go. "I will not say it again."

Thomas motioned with his hands for the knights to leave.

"You are scaring everyone who walks by, Alice. You only need to calmly send them away," said Thomas.

"I was calm when they started coming, but they wouldn’t listen. Why would you come to disturb a married couple? The door is closed, and surely, you can hear the sounds I am hearing. If we are to have an heir for this castle, they are not to be disturbed," Alice said.

"Oh, so that has been your intention all along. As far as I am concerned, those two do not want children. I suggest you be quiet about your plans for an heir. They might come to dislike you," Thomas said, purposely trying to upset Alice.

"They might not want a child now, but if they continue with what I am hearing, I assure you that they will have one. Talk about an heir will come eventually. Before it starts, it would be good for Lady Hastings to be pregnant. That would silence everyone who has concerns," Alice said, worried that the complaints would soon come.

"If anyone has complaints about a child, they would be fools to speak of it out loud. I cannot listen to this," Thomas said, moving away from the door. "She is like a sister or a mother to me. I must go away."

"Don’t be a child, Thomas. It is not like it is the first time you are hearing this. Or, is it? Have you never been with a woman?" Alice asked, surprised by this revelation.

"I have been with women. I simply don’t like hearing this from her. She is someone I look up to, and instead of focusing your attention on me, you have someone else approaching the bedchamber," Thomas said, pointing to the woman saving him from an awful conversation.

Alice turned around and recognised the woman. "She is the one who once visited Lord Hastings, right? The one everyone says is a witch. She has awful timing."

"I have come to see Lord Hastings. I heard he has returned," Ester said, looking at the door that she assumed would lead to Dante. "Tell him that I have arrived."

"I’m afraid I cannot do that. Lord Hastings is quite busy at the moment, so if you could return-"

"I have time to spare, so I shall wait here," Ester said, moving to find herself a comfortable seat. "Tell me when it is my time to enter."

Alice smacked her face. Why couldn’t anyone work with her?
