NEOMA had so many things to do now that she was back.

But before anyone could complain, the two of them were already gone.

She was glad that Ruto immediately took her to her chambers.
Otherwise, she would have started vomiting in front of her friends and family.
And Nero would have reacted violently.
"Why?" Neoma asked weakly, slumped on the floor while Ruto was cleaning up after her mess. He was even holding her long hair, so it wouldn’t touch the pool of blood on the floor. "Am I dying, Ruto?"

"Sometimes, I wonder if you really love me."
"Are you scared of dying? Why would you be? It wouldn’t be your first time."

Of course, Neoma could tell that Ruto was just messing with her.

"I’m afraid of watching you die again," Ruto admitted casually, in a sincere voice. "But don’t worry. I won’t let you alone for so long, Neoma. The moment you’re confirmed to be dead with no way back, I’ll follow you immediately."

"This depressing talk suddenly made me feel better," Neoma said. Well, her insides still felt like it was being crushed by an unknown force. But it was bearable now. "Do you know why I’m sick?"
Ruto let out a sigh while shaking his head. "Neoma, you ate something you shouldn’t have, didn’t you?"

NERO wanted to check on Neoma as soon as possible.
But Ruto left the Silver Foxes in his hands, hence he was forced to return to his office instead of heading straight to his twin sister’s room.
