Chapter 207: Chapter 207: It’s Easy to Get Beaten Up Out There

Yun Zijin raised an eyebrow at what Lu Yunque said.

"He’s probably in C City on business, right? With President Li’s connections, you’re telling me no one invited him to dinner?"

Either way, Yun Zijin didn’t believe a word of it.

Of course, Lu Yunque had already said as much to Li Yuexing, but the man insisted he had no invitations, and it wasn’t like Lu Yunque could call around to verify.

"He said he didn’t."

"Alright then, let’s call the server back and add a few more dishes."

When Yun Zijin had ordered, she’d gotten enough for nine people. But with Li Yuexing coming, that would make ten, and it wouldn’t be enough without ordering more.

Lu Yunque nodded. They definitely needed more.

"Just add another serving of everything we already ordered."

Since Li Yuexing and Lu Yunque were close, Yun Zijin did as he suggested.

She pressed the service bell in their private room and waited for a server to come over so they could add to their order.

"I’ll send him our location."

Lu Yunque took out his phone and sent the location to Li Yuexing.

Li Yuexing replied almost instantly, but Lu Yunque didn’t message him back.

After all, the location was sent. Whether he came or not was his problem now.

Soon after Yun Zijin pressed the service bell, a server came over, though it wasn’t the one who had shown them to the room and taken their order earlier.

This server looked much more professional than the last one. Their eyes weren’t darting all over the place, which left a good impression on Yun Zijin.

"Hello, how can I help you?"

"We have one more person joining us shortly. Could you add another serving of every dish we ordered, please?"

Yun Zijin said.

"Of course, I’ll communicate that to the kitchen. Is there anything else you need?"

"No, that’s all. Go on."

"Alright. If you need anything, just press the service bell."

Yun Zijin nodded, indicating she understood.

Not long after this server left, they returned with their three hot pots and soup bases.

The three pots were placed in a triangular formation. For the time being, Yun Zijin and Lu Yunque shared one pot, while the seven bodyguards shared the other two.

"The soup base still needs to come to a boil, and the dishes you ordered will take a bit more time, so you may have to wait a little."

Yun Zijin waved her hand, signaling that it was fine.

They weren’t in a hurry, anyway.

Over the next little while, servers periodically entered and exited the private room to bring them their ingredients.

Li Yuexing arrived not long after all the food had been served, about thirty minutes after Lu Yunque had sent his location.

"If I’d known you two were also coming to C City, I would’ve bummed a ride on your plane."

"And have you tag along just to be our third wheel the entire way?"

With Li Yuexing’s arrival, the meal stretched on until it was 2 p.m. Seeing the bright sun outside, Yun Zijin didn’t really feel like going out.

Thinking of the villa she had received for completing the rose-delivery mission, Yun Zijin suddenly felt like she wanted to go see it.

"What is it?"

Lu Yunque had just paid the bill. Seeing Yun Zijin standing to the side looking a bit absentminded, he asked.

"I only realized yesterday that I apparently own a villa here in C City. I’d like to go take a look.

Especially since the sun is so strong right now, I don’t really feel like going sightseeing."
