Chapter 195: Chapter 195: Living Together
Yun Zijin had originally planned to just tag along for the ride, but after hearing Lu Yunque’s arrangements, she had a vague feeling that something wasn’t right.
Then, with a flash of insight, she finally posed the million-dollar question.
"The suite has more than one bedroom. I’d worry about you staying by yourself.
If you’re worried, you can lock your door from the inside. I won’t enter without your permission."
"You could put me in a room next to Zero One and the others. If something really happens, they can come over from next door to help me."
’Staying near Zero One and his team would be much safer than staying with Lu Yunque.’
But Yun Zijin couldn’t say that out loud.
After all, they were technically potential partners getting to know each other. She couldn’t come across as too cold-hearted.
"Miss Yun, it’s peak tourist season during the National Day holiday. Our hotel is already fully booked.
I’m very sorry, but we can’t accommodate your request to change rooms."
The hotel manager had noticed Lu Yunque’s special treatment of Yun Zijin from the moment they stepped into the hotel. Hearing now that Yun Zijin wanted to change rooms, he immediately stepped forward to smooth things over for Lu Yunque.
The general message was clear: it wasn’t that they wouldn’t make the arrangements, but that the current circumstances made it impossible.
He wasn’t exactly lying, though. The rooms at Jinsheng Hotel had, in fact, all been booked up.
Lu Yunque then turned to Yun Zijin. "He’s not lying. During the holidays, the Lu Family’s Jinsheng Hotel is almost always at full occupancy."
It wasn’t just because staying at Jinsheng Hotel was prestigious, but also because everything about it, from the ambiance to the service, was top-tier.
With both of them saying so, Yun Zijin felt a bit resigned.
A hotel being fully booked during the National Day holiday was, admittedly, a perfectly reasonable and valid excuse.
"Alright, then. Let’s go up and take a look first."
Jinsheng Hotel had no other rooms, and other hotels were most likely in the same boat. Yun Zijin had no choice but to compromise.
’But it was her own fault. She’d been too lazy to bother asking Lu Yunque about the accommodations, which led to this awkward situation.’
Since Yun Zijin didn’t press the issue, the hotel manager let out a huge sigh of relief.
’Thank goodness this Miss Yun wasn’t the unreasonable, pestering type. If she had made a scene, it would be us working folks who would suffer.’
Lu Yunque also breathed a sigh of relief. If Yun Zijin had refused to back down, he would have been the one to give in.
’He couldn’t just leave Yun Zijin with nowhere to stay, after all.’
The group stepped into the elevator. The hotel manager dutifully stood by the control panel and quickly pressed the button for the 81st floor.
The elevator doors closed, and a sweet, feminine voice rang out: "Elevator ascending. Approaching the 36th floor..."
The elevator ascended quickly, stopping on the 36th floor. A man and a woman stepped in from outside.
They both looked a bit surprised to see Yun Zijin’s party.
But people who could afford to stay at Jinsheng Hotel were not clueless paupers. Both parties maintained a tacit silence.
The man and woman got off on the 56th floor, and the elevator continued straight up to the 81st, arriving shortly after.
The group filed out of the elevator. The hotel manager led them to the suite’s entrance and used a master keycard to open the door for the couple.
"Why don’t you take them to their rooms?"
Before the hotel manager could follow them inside, Lu Yunque spoke up, telling him to take Zero One and his men to their rooms.
The hotel manager instantly understood Lu Yunque’s intention. He went along with the request and prepared to lead Zero One and the others to the rooms that had been arranged for them.
Zero One and his men didn’t follow, as their duty was to ensure Yun Zijin’s personal safety.
"It’s fine. Just leave one person here. I’ll let you know if I need anything."
’She didn’t want Zero One and his team to be unable to do anything just because of her.’
’It wasn’t like she needed someone guarding her every single moment.’
Zero One and his men still deferred to Yun Zijin’s wishes.
In the end, Zero One stayed behind, while Ling Er and the other five men followed the hotel manager to see their rooms.
Once everyone else had left, Lu Yunque led Yun Zijin inside, while Zero One stood guard at the suite’s entrance.
"Go take a look at the rooms. Pick whichever one you like."
The presidential suite had three bedrooms in total: one master and two guest bedrooms.
Lu Yunque gave Yun Zijin her pick of the rooms.
Yun Zijin looked at all three rooms and ultimately chose the guest bedroom with the simpler decor.
Lu Yunque chose the master bedroom next to Yun Zijin’s.
After settling on a room, Yun Zijin began to explore the other common areas.
She had to admit, the presidential suite really lived up to its name. In addition to a kitchen, living room, and a common bathroom, she also found an open-plan tea room. Besides a professional tea-brewing set, Yun Zijin also spotted a complete coffee station.
Not only that, but there was also a fully equipped gym, a home theater, a study...
It was no different from a sprawling three-bedroom apartment, except it was even more spacious and had more recreational areas.
Just as Yun Zijin finished her tour, she heard the doorbell ring.
"That’s probably the delivery with your clothes and personal items."

Lu Yunque glanced at the people in the hallway and stepped aside to make room.
Yun Zijin sat on the living room sofa, watching as the staff carried in batch after batch of clothes and other items.
"Isn’t this a bit much? We’re only staying here for two days. I couldn’t wear all of this even if I changed outfits five times a day."
’Just because you’re rich doesn’t mean you should be this extravagant.’
"It’s fine. I’ll have them send whatever you don’t wear to my house here. Someone will take care of organizing it."
’As long as one had money, none of this was a problem.’
Since Lu Yunque had put it that way, Yun Zijin didn’t press the matter.
Yun Zijin picked through the racks of clothes and finally chose a casual tracksuit.
"You can all leave once you’ve put everything away."
Lu Yunque didn’t actually like having strangers in his personal space, and even a temporary residence was no exception.
Once everyone was gone, Yun Zijin made a beeline for the bathroom in her room.
"I’m going to take a shower."
After several hours on the plane, Yun Zijin was dying for a shower. But one thing after another had piled up, keeping her busy. Only now did she finally have the energy to even think about it.
Yun Zijin’s words caused Lu Yunque’s brain to short-circuit for a moment, but he quickly recovered.
Watching the door to Yun Zijin’s room swing shut, Lu Yunque silently returned to his own.
As for Yun Zijin, after returning to her room and locking the door, she didn’t immediately go to shower. Instead, she opened her system’s virtual screen.
[New map detected. Complete mission to unlock? Yes/No]
This was a notification Yun Zijin had received right when she got off the plane.
She had ignored it because Lu Yunque was always right there with her.
’I didn’t expect a new map.’
’But wait, why didn’t I get this notification when I went from Dijing to G City before?’
Randomly Spend was silent. Yun Zijin didn’t dwell on it and simply raised her hand to tap "Yes" on the virtual screen.
