Chapter 1909: Chapter 1766: Strange Atmosphere (Part 2)

Deng Wen pointed inside the shop as he spoke.

Wang Qiang turned his head and noticed Song Yun.

He was taken aback and asked in surprise, "Song Yun, you got into a fight with someone?"

Upon seeing that Wang Qiang actually knew Song Yun, Deng Wen’s heart skipped a beat, secretly thinking this was bad.

Earlier, after Shen Bing cursed a few words, six people were killed, and they fled in panic.

Deng Wen thought about how she had despised Song Yun for not having money, and she was utterly bewildered.

With Song Yun being so fierce, she was worried that he might kill her at any moment.

"Hey Old Wang, long time no see."

Song Yun greeted Wang Qiang and asked, "Is this Vacheron Constantin yours?"

Wang Qiang chuckled, "Sort of, I’ve invested in it. So, which watch caught your eye? I’ll give it to you."

Wang Qiang was quite carefree, considering the state Vacheron Constantin was in, yet he could still smile.

"Forget the watches for now, let’s talk about other things first."

Song Yun looked at Xiao Hui and said, "This girl is good. I think you should promote her. Also, that manager named Deng Wen has character issues; I think you should deal with her. Of course, these are just suggestions for your reference."

"Since it’s your suggestion, I have to take it into account."

Wang Qiang smiled and said to Xiao Hui, "Young lady, your name is Xiao Hui, right? From today onwards, this Vacheron Constantin store will undergo renovation, and you’ll be in charge of everything. After reopening, you’ll be the manager here, and everything will be up to you."

Xiao Hui’s face lit up with surprise, but she was afraid she couldn’t handle the managerial responsibilities.

She was about to decline, but seeing the trusting look in Song Yun’s eyes, she swallowed her words, thinking to herself that she must do this well because of Song Yun’s trust.

Xiao Hui bowed and said, "Thank you, Mr. Wang, for the promotion. I definitely won’t let down your trust!"

"I trust Song Yun’s judgment."

Wang Qiang nodded and turned his gaze to Deng Wen, whose face immediately fell.

Deng Wen thought to himself, this is bad, and quickly said, "Mr. Wang, since Xiao Hui is promoted to manager, I’ll be her assistant, serving as the deputy manager."

Wang Qiang replied indifferently, "No need, you’re fired."

What a joke, you’ve offended Song Yun, and you still think you can stay on? Dream on!

Upon hearing she was fired, Deng Wen was stunned.

She’s forty years old, somewhat attractive, and she’s slept with quite a few superiors to get her current position.

But Wang Qiang’s single sentence was going to ruin her completely.

She was crestfallen and wanted to argue, but couldn’t find the words.

Because she knew this was not Wang Qiang’s idea; it was Song Yun’s.

She didn’t dare argue, afraid of angering Song Yun, not only losing her managerial position but possibly her life.

Wang Qiang glanced at Deng Wen, "What are you still standing here for? Hurry up and leave."

With her head lowered in resentment, Deng Wen walked out of the Vacheron Constantin store.

After Deng Wen left, Wang Qiang glanced at the six dead bodies on the ground and frowned, "Song Yun, you did this?"

"Yes." Song Yun nodded.

Wang Qiang asked, "What now?"

"I’ll handle it when the officials arrive."

Just as Song Yun finished speaking, chaos broke out outside, and a large group of police officers headed their way.

The crowd quickly made way as the police entered the disarrayed Vacheron Constantin store.

Because the police reported it involved fighting and the son of a Shen family branch leader, the team was led by Criminal Investigation Brigade Captain Ma Guofeng.

Ma Guofeng had connections in the government, so he knew about Song Yun.

Upon seeing Song Yun at the scene, he knew today’s incident was surely going to be big, which gave him a headache.

And seeing six bodies lying on the ground, his face completely darkened.

Song Yun didn’t want to make things difficult for Ma Guofeng and proactively handed over his National Security Bureau credentials, saying, "Executing a mission. Please handle these bodies and also warn everyone present to keep this confidential."

After seeing Song Yun’s credentials, Ma Guofeng’s tension immediately eased.

Since it’s a classified mission, it was none of his business.

Ma Guofeng quickly organized people to take away the bodies, and in the process, collected all the onlookers.

Today’s incident would surely spread; he needed to erase all records from the attendees’ phones, doing his utmost to maintain confidentiality.

The onlookers never expected the situation would end like this.

Song Yun was unaffected, while the audience was arrested.

When the police took everyone away, there were barely a few people left in the Vacheron Constantin store.

"Old Wang, I have to go, see you."

Song Yun picked up the shopping bag he had just put down, greeted Wang Qiang, and left Longxing Mall with Mo Yuyao.

The two drove away from the mall, and Mo Yuyao stared at Song Yun without speaking for quite a while.

Although they had been through a lot before, this was the first time Song Yun had killed someone in her presence, showing her unimaginable power.

Suddenly, Song Yun turned to her and asked, "Yu Yao, why are you staring at me? Are you blaming me for not buying you a gift?"

"Of course not." Mo Yuyao quickly defended.

Song Yun raised his fist with a smile, saying, "Give me your hand; this is your gift."

"A gift?"

Mo Yuyao looked puzzled and opened her fair hand, placing it under Song Yun’s fist.

Song Yun released his fist, placing a watch in Mo Yuyao’s hand.

Mo Yuyao looked closely and realized it was the watch she had been eyeing earlier.

Her heart warmed, and she smiled sweetly, holding the watch fondly, saying, "When did you get the watch?"

Song Yun winked, "It’s a secret."

Mo Yuyao didn’t ask more upon hearing it was a secret; she just admired the watch in her palm with increasing fondness.

This watch meant a lot to her because it marked her and Song Yun’s first official date and his first gift to her.

"Thank you, Song Yun."

Mo Yuyao smiled sweetly and suddenly leaned over to give Song Yun a gentle kiss on the cheek.

Her breath was fragrant, her lips soft, and the kiss made Song Yun feel as if he was electrified.

This feeling was new to Song Yun.

Additionally, the kiss made Song Yun lose focus, resulting in a brief mental blank.

The family, located in an office building within the first ring.

Besides the Shen Family, hardly anyone knew this building belonged to the Hermit Realm’s Shen Family.

Most of their assets were managed by professional managers or secular Shen Family patriarchs, while family members focused on using their wealth and resources for cultivation.

Through years of change, the Shen Family profoundly understood that only having great power themselves was the long-term strategy to ensure continuity through changing times.

Currently, in the meeting room on the thirty-eighth floor, Shen Family core members gathered around.

Such occasions were very rare.

Because Shen Family members were busy cultivating, they didn’t like appearing in the secular world.

People like Shen Bing, who enjoyed lingering in the mundane world, were a minority.

Today, however, the core members had to convene because a major event had occurred, requiring them to formulate a response.

At the not-so-large conference table sat more than a dozen middle-aged individuals.

These middle-aged people were all imposing and unfathomable.

With their eyes slightly closed, they sat in their chairs, waiting for the meeting to begin.

Young people sat against the walls.

Among them was Shen Bing, whom Song Yun had severely injured.

After returning to the family, Shen Bing underwent treatment, but even with the Hermit Realm’s advanced medical techniques, he had not fully recovered.

Currently, his power has fallen to level B, requiring at least a year to fully recover.

Now, he was full of hatred toward Song Yun, determined to kill him to be satisfied.

A few more people entered the meeting room; the younger individuals would rise to greet the elders.

But among themselves, there was no conversation, just nodding in acknowledgment.

The atmosphere in the meeting room was somewhat heavy and eerily quiet.
