Chapter 1893: Chapter 1758: No Retreat Left (Part 2)

On top of that, he comes and goes without a trace, giving people no chance to guard against him, not even time to react.

He’s like the Grim Reaper, harvesting his enemies’ lives!

The first one to snap out of his shock was Qiao Yue. He stared at Song Yun, his voice trembling as he said, "You... weren’t you dead?"

"Who said I was dead?" Song Yun had a playful smile on his face. He glanced back at Little Sword God and the others, then said, "Oh, you mean what they said just now? They were just joking. I only took a little nap. I take a nap every day, I’m used to it."

Nap... take a nap!

Qiao Yue’s mouth twitched. He knew full well Song Yun was messing with him, but he still didn’t lose his temper.

Because Song Yun’s speed just now had left him baffled.

He fixed his gaze on Song Yun and said, "When I attacked you earlier, you weren’t this fast. You couldn’t even dodge my attacks. Why has your speed increased so much now?"

Song Yun chuckled. "Here’s the thing: while I was taking my nap just now, I happened to practice my movement technique in my dreams. The moment I woke up, my speed got faster."

"You’re screwing with me!"

Qiao Yue’s eyes sank, thick rage flashing in them as he said in a deep voice, "You killed so many of my people, I’m going to tear you to pieces."

Luo Badao roared, "Qiao Yue, cut the crap. With Song Yun’s speed, plus that broken sword, you’re no match for him!"

"Hahahaha..."

Qiao Yue burst out laughing, a ferocious glint in his eyes as he said, "You really think that’s all I’ve got? Those pieces of trash, if they’re dead they’re dead. As long as I’m alive, Poker will definitely replace Golden Dragon Palace. All of you are dying today!"

Hearing that Qiao Yue still had a trump card, everyone on Song Yun’s side couldn’t help but frown.

"Hmph!"

Qiao Yue let out a cold snort, the corner of his mouth curling into a cruel smile. His figure flashed—not toward Song Yun, Luo Badao, Sanjian or any other mid-SS-level, but straight at Little Sword God, Juan Mao and the others.

"I’ll kill your disciples first!"

Qiao Yue shouted, his target very clear—he was going to one-shot Little Sword God and the rest first.

However, there was no way Song Yun would give him the chance.

Song Yun’s body flickered, and in the next instant he had already appeared at Qiao Yue’s side, the Throat Sealing Sword stabbing toward Qiao Yue’s back.

Logically, as a mid-SS-level, Qiao Yue’s agility and speed should be higher than everyone else’s.

But strangely, Qiao Yue didn’t move at all, as if he hadn’t sensed Song Yun’s attack, and continued charging toward Juan Mao, who was closest to him.

The Throat Sealing Sword met no resistance and pierced straight into Qiao Yue’s back, dead-on.

Weirdly, the Throat Sealing Sword tore open Qiao Yue’s clothes, but couldn’t go any deeper.

Song Yun felt like the blade had stabbed into an iron wall and couldn’t penetrate.

"Weird!"

Song Yun raised an eyebrow, stayed on Qiao Yue’s tail, and put more strength into it, driving the Throat Sealing Sword forward again with a fierce thrust.

But the blade still wouldn’t go in.

One by one, tiny black dots crawled out from the slit in the clothes where the blade had torn, climbing onto the Throat Sealing Sword.

"Gu insects!"

Song Yun focused his gaze and saw that those tiny black dots were actually Gu insects.

Song Yun had seen this kind of Gu insect before.

He didn’t dare let the Gu crawl along the Throat Sealing Sword onto his hand, so he hurriedly withdrew the sword and gave it a hard shake, knocking several Gu insects off the blade.

And in that split second, Qiao Yue had already rushed up to Juan Mao. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

"Fuck your mother, I just advanced to S-level and haven’t even had my moment, and I’m gonna get killed already?"

Juan Mao swore loudly. Knowing he was no match, he turned and ran.

But how could his speed possibly compare to mid-SS-level Qiao Yue?

Qiao Yue brought his palm down toward Juan Mao’s head, the air booming with the force. The power in that strike was so great that if it landed, Juan Mao’s head would be done for.

"Son!"

Luo Badao’s face filled with panic as he suddenly charged over, but he was already too late.

Juan Mao’s head was about to be smashed when a shadow flashed behind him and Song Yun appeared again.

That speed was practically instant movement!

"So what if you’ve got Gu insects? You still can’t outrun me."

Song Yun said mockingly, the Throat Sealing Sword thrusting straight toward Qiao Yue’s eyes.

"Bastard!"

Qiao Yue cursed and hurriedly retreated.

Though his whole body was covered in Gu, his eyes were still a vital spot, and he didn’t dare take the Throat Sealing Sword head-on.

Song Yun didn’t pursue. He drew back his sword and stood in front, shielding Little Sword God, Master Bei, Juan Mao, and Qiu Chumeng behind him, looking at the retreating Qiao Yue with a face full of mockery.

Having escaped by the skin of his teeth, Juan Mao wiped the sweat from his forehead and muttered, "Damn, I almost died young."

Song Yun looked back and smiled. "Relax, he’s no match for me."

Master Bei said, "Song Yun is right. That incredibly powerful broken sword from before, he still hasn’t used it."

Hearing this, everyone nodded in agreement.

After Qiao Yue pulled away, he didn’t rush to attack. Instead, he stared at Song Yun with a grim expression.

The trump card he spoke of was the gu insects.

He had originally thought that by relying on the gu, he could stall Song Yun and kill the others first.

But when actually facing Song Yun, the gu insects were almost useless.

Because Song Yun’s speed was just too fast; the gu couldn’t even slow him for an instant.

And on top of that, Song Yun still hadn’t used that broken sword.

If Song Yun went for the kill, Qiao Yue asked himself and felt that there was a ninety-percent chance he wouldn’t escape.

"I never thought there’d be such a variable as Song Yun! His speed is unbelievably fast! But why did he suddenly become this fast?"

Qiao Yue muttered in his heart, glanced around at the situation, and lost his nerve, wanting to find a chance to leave.

"What, want to run?"

Song Yun saw through Qiao Yue’s intent and walked forward unhurriedly. "I haven’t had my fun yet, don’t be in such a rush to go."

Qiao Yue clenched his teeth. The more he looked at Song Yun, the stranger he felt he was.

"Song Yun, you’re dead. You ruined Poker’s plan and offended someone you can never afford to offend."

Qiao Yue spat out this final line between gritted teeth, then suddenly moved, spinning around and sprinting away.

The wall behind him had been blasted open with a huge hole in the earlier fight; he wanted to escape through it.

"Trump card? Someone he can’t afford to offend? There’s still someone behind Qiao Yue controlling things? He’s just the spokesman, the real mastermind isn’t him!?"

Song Yun’s thoughts spun. He suddenly realized that everything he’d experienced seemed to be gradually exposing a huge conspiracy.

Blood Flow Path, the high-tech families, the Ninjas sent out to search for some secret, Poker, the people behind Qiao Yue...

That person—or rather, that organization—hiding in the shadows, what is their true goal?

What does Poker want by replacing the Golden Dragon Palace?

While Song Yun was thinking, Qiao Yue had already rushed out of the hall, crazily sprinting toward the outside.

"Want to leave? Not that easy."

Song Yun stepped out once and appeared outside the hall.

With another step, he was already at Qiao Yue’s side.

This wasn’t walking at all; it was outright teleportation.

The power of Phantom Step was beyond imagination.

And this was only the entry level.

Song Yun reached Qiao Yue’s back. He didn’t use the black-light broken sword, because he still had questions to ask Qiao Yue; now was not the time to kill him.

He swung the Throat Sealing Sword, stabbing toward the back of Qiao Yue’s head.

At the same time, black gu insects appeared one after another, completely covering the back of Qiao Yue’s head.

"Bastard, why?!"

Qiao Yue roared, a ferocious expression twisting his face.

He considered himself already one of Huaxia’s top experts, yet facing Song Yun, he had a body full of strength that he simply couldn’t bring to bear.

Because Song Yun’s speed made it hard for him to even touch Song Yun once.

The Throat Sealing Sword thrust into the gu on the back of Qiao Yue’s head and was blocked.

At the same time, Song Yun kicked toward Qiao Yue’s lower back.

Qiao Yue could block sharp weapons, but he couldn’t block heavy blows.

As long as the force was strong enough, it could still injure him.

But the instant Song Yun kicked out, the Throat Sealing Sword suddenly lost all obstruction. Those gu insects all scattered, and the blade pierced into Qiao Yue’s brain with a wet sound.

"Not good!"

The sword strike had landed, but Song Yun instead felt that something was wrong.

Qiao Yue had been defending all along and suddenly gave up; he was definitely going to go all out.

Sure enough, just as the Throat Sealing Sword pierced in and before Song Yun could pull it out, Qiao Yue actually self-destructed his Dantian.

The power of an SS-level mid-stage expert self-destructing his Dantian was equivalent to a small shell blast.

Right now Song Yun was at point-blank range; caught off guard, he didn’t even have time to pull out the Throat Sealing Sword. His body moved as he tried to dodge.

But he was still too late.
