Chapter 655: Chapter 658: Little Crazy One [Third Release, Please Subscribe]

Yang Ziwei was confused by Wu Tian’s words. A place that naturally produced immortal-quality Spiritual Energy? When the meaning dawned on him, he was shocked. My God... such places shouldn’t exist outside of the Immortal Realm or a Sacred Land! In his entire life, Yang Ziwei had never seen such a place.

Wu Tian just smiled and said nothing. The little one pouted, clearly disappointed. She wanted to see a place like that too.

Yang Ziwei led Wu Tian and the little one into the guild branch. As soon as they entered the main gate, they saw a large, circular hall. At its center was a counter where several beautiful women were answering people’s questions. For instance, if someone came looking for a particular Formation, the women would help them arrange an appointment with a suitable Array Master. The guild branch had several types of Array Masters; some specialized in defensive Formations, while others focused on offensive ones. It was much like a hospital on Earth, where Physicians were divided into different departments.

As Yang Ziwei led them inside, the women at the counter looked on curiously. Wu Tian’s name was quite famous now, but very few people had actually seen his face. Those who tried to capture his likeness in a portrait found that, for some reason, they could never get it quite right. This strange phenomenon only added to his mystique.

As they passed, people all nodded to Yang Ziwei.

"Greetings, President."

"President Yang!"

He returned each greeting. Observing this, Wu Tian praised him, "You have a good attitude."

"It’s nothing," Yang Ziwei said with a shake of his head and a smile. "They might see me as the president and themselves as my subordinates, but that’s not how I see it. We are comrades! We have to fight together for this guild branch."

Wu Tian nodded in complete agreement with Yang Ziwei’s words. Every position is a post for a warrior! If you’re a chef, the kitchen is your battlefield. The concept of a battlefield is present almost everywhere.

Yang Ziwei was thrilled to receive Wu Tian’s praise. He then led Wu Tian down to the basement level. Indeed, for Array Masters, the earth itself was their deity. Therefore, the truly important area wasn’t on an upper floor but was the hidden level underground. The basement was sparsely decorated and very spacious, making it the perfect place for Array Masters to unleash the Formations imprinted within their bodies.

A group of people was already standing there, divided into two factions.

The first was, naturally, Yang Ziwei’s comrades—fellow Array Masters who had accompanied him to this remote place to establish the guild branch, all fighting for a shared dream.

The second faction consisted of Array Masters dispatched by a rival faction. They coveted this guild branch and aimed to defeat Yang Ziwei and his people in order to take control. To reap what they hadn’t sown! They felt no shame; on the contrary, they were thrilled by the prospect.

At that moment, an Array Master from the second faction could no longer contain himself and shouted angrily, "We’ve waited long enough! Where in the world has Yang Ziwei gone? Don’t tell me he fled?"

"If he doesn’t show up soon, we’ll just declare that he forfeits and take over this guild branch!" Many of the Array Masters in the second faction began to clamor in agreement.

This guild branch, with its lavish exterior and opulent interior, had clearly cost a fortune. The idea of obtaining such an expensive and beautiful building without any effort and becoming its masters filled them with giddy impatience.

"Can’t you people be a little more patient?" one of Yang Ziwei’s comrades finally snapped, unable to bear it any longer. "Your greed is showing, and it’s an ugly sight!"

"What did you say?" someone from the second faction retorted, annoyed. Our methods might be ugly, but you can’t just say it to our faces!

"Alright, everyone, let’s not be angry. We’ll just wait a little longer," a young man standing at the back of the second faction spoke up. The moment he did, his entire group fell silent. "And you old men with Yang Ziwei, don’t get the wrong idea," he continued, addressing Yang Ziwei’s allies. "We’re taking over this guild branch for the good of the people. If your skill with Formations is lacking, then by occupying this place, you are preventing it from reaching its full potential. It would be better to hand it over to us. This is the law among Array Masters."

The young man was utterly disrespectful to his elders, but no one dared to rebuke him. His name was Feng Li, a member of the Feng Family, the clan of an Elder from the Array Master General Guild—Elder Feng. He was rumored to be a genius among Array Masters. Despite being only in his twenties, he already bore the imprint of a Sixth-Rank Formation.

His attitude was arrogant, but who could—or would dare to—say anything?

Just then, a commotion at the entrance drew everyone’s attention. They looked over and saw Yang Ziwei arriving with Wu Tian, who was holding the little one.

"I’m sorry for being late," Yang Ziwei said very politely as he walked in.

He was polite even to the people scheming to take his guild. His behavior stood in stark contrast to Feng Li’s. Clearly, one was uncultured, while the other was a man of refinement.

Feng Li snorted and curled his lip. What a hypocrite. We both know we’re enemies. What’s the point of this fake sincerity?

Holding the little one, Wu Tian walked in quietly. The sky outside had not yet fully brightened, and all he wanted to do was go back to sleep—not because he was tired, but simply out of habit.

When Wu Tian’s gaze swept over Feng Li, he couldn’t help but blurt out, "Little Crazy?"

"Who are you calling that?" Feng Li demanded with displeasure. ’Little Crazy?’ He didn’t even remember ever having such a nickname.

Wu Tian took another look, chuckled, and said, "Sorry, I mistook you for someone else."

Years ago, he had known Lei Ming and his six sworn brothers. One of them had the surname Feng. Because the man was prone to fits of wild frenzy, Wu Tian had nicknamed him ’Little Crazy.’ Wu Tian now figured this young man must be a descendant of that ’Little Crazy.’

Yang Ziwei now spoke. "Allow me to introduce you. This is the vice president of our guild branch. He will be the one competing against you this time."

Hearing this, Yang Ziwei’s comrades didn’t say much. They trusted him. They had followed him to this remote place to establish the guild branch together; their fates were intertwined, for better or worse.

Feng Li and the other Array Masters from his faction, however, had strange expressions. They had assumed Yang Ziwei himself would be the one to compete. They never expected it would be this young man.

Feng Li looked at Wu Tian, noting his youthful face—even younger than his own—and sneered inwardly. Is Yang Ziwei out of his mind? Could it be he already knows he’s going to lose, so he decided to just throw the match?

If Yang Ziwei knew what Feng Li was thinking, he would have surely told him, "You’re seriously overthinking things."

Yang Ziwei then proceeded to formally introduce Feng Li’s group to Wu Tian, whose expression remained placid throughout. Even when Yang Ziwei mentioned Feng Li and his family background, Wu Tian’s face was a mask of indifference.

This caused Feng Li to frown. He couldn’t help but ask sarcastically, "Are you really an Array Master? If you were, how could you hear the name of my Feng Family and show no reaction at all? You should know that my ancestor, along with his brothers, established the very first Array Masters’ Guild. That is an insurmountable milestone in the history of all Array Masters!"
