Chapter 28: Chapter 28: Your Whole Family Will Be Buried With You

The arrival of the burly, bald man and his intimidating presence silenced the crowd.

Everyone knew—the men from Huaiyi Hall were here.

The crowd looked at Qin Tuo, their eyes filled with profound pity.

’This young man is in for a world of hurt!’

Upon seeing the burly, bald man, Boss Wang immediately hurried over, bowing and scraping.

"Brother Xiong, I didn’t expect you to come in person!"

His fawning smile made him look like a completely different person from the fierce man he was just moments before.

The burly, bald man, Wu Xiong, nodded and said coldly,

"Old Wang, I’m in charge of security for this entire Antique Street. No one ever dares to cause trouble here. So who’s the blind fool running his mouth today?"

As he spoke, his fierce gaze swept over everyone present.

Anyone who met his gaze couldn’t help but lower their head.

Boss Wang smiled smugly and pointed provocatively at Qin Tuo.

"Brother Xiong, it’s this kid! He’s trying to steal my treasure, and he even said he has no respect for Huaiyi Hall!"

Hearing this, everyone’s hearts sank.

They all knew Qin Tuo was finished.

"Let’s go, let’s go. That’s Wu Xiong, one of Huaiyi Hall’s leaders. He’s in charge of security here. Who would dare to cross him?"

"Sigh, I can’t watch. That young man is going to lose an arm or a leg. It’s too brutal."

Many people turned and left, unable to bear watching what would happen next.

"Oh? Treasure? What treasure?"

Wu Xiong frowned and walked over to take a look.

He saw Qin Tuo casually twirling a piece of exquisite Mutton Fat Jade between his fingers.

With just one glance, Wu Xiong could immediately tell the value of the Mutton Fat Jade.

He sucked in a sharp breath.

Wu Xiong’s breathing grew ragged.

He snarled,

"Kid, hand over the Jade Pendant, now! Or you’ll be sorry!"

With his backup present, Boss Wang sneered arrogantly from the side.

He had already made up his mind. ’Even if I can’t get this exquisite Mutton Fat Jade, I’d rather give it to Wu Xiong to curry favor than let this damn kid walk away with it.’

Qin Tuo, still fiddling with the Jade Pendant, retorted,

"You’re just going to assume it’s my fault without even asking for the story?"

Hearing Qin Tuo’s words, Wu Xiong’s expression faltered.

As the man responsible for keeping order on the Antique Street, his usual job was to resolve disputes fairly and keep the peace.

But today, this exquisite Mutton Fat Jade pendant made it impossible for him to remain calm.

Wu Xiong let out a cold snort and said with displeasure,

"What’s there to ask? It’s obvious you’re the one trying to pull a fast one to swindle this Jade Pendant. Hand it over now, and don’t force my hand."

Qin Tuo laughed, exasperated.

’I was going to be reasonable,’ he thought, ’but this bald thug is just taking me for a pushover.’

"So this is how Huaiyi Hall operates? So tyrannically?"

Qin Tuo asked calmly.

For some reason, seeing Qin Tuo’s calm demeanor made Wu Xiong’s heart skip a beat. He felt that something was off.

But soon, his greed for the exquisite Mutton Fat Jade overwhelmed that feeling.

"Kid, I’ll give you one last chance to hand it over. Otherwise, it’ll be too late."

As he spoke, Wu Xiong cracked his knuckles, producing a series of sharp pops.

"Hmph, you ungrateful punk. Don’t you know who you’re talking to? This is Brother Xiong of Huaiyi Hall! Do you think he’s someone you can mess with?"

Boss Wang, acting like a proper lackey, continued to fan the flames.

Qin Tuo was utterly disappointed.

’Looks like Huaiyi Hall is in need of a serious cleaning,’ he thought.

With a cold smile, he extended a hand, revealing the Celestial King Order.

"Since you love treasures so much, can you tell me what this is?"

’Hmm, a ring?’

Wu Xiong stared at it for a moment, then snorted with laughter.

It was obvious to his experienced eye that this was just an ordinary ring that had been treated to look old and rusty.

"Kid, it’s just a worthless ring. What’s there to show off?"

"Enough of your crap! Hand over the Mutton Fat Jade now!"

Wu Xiong had clearly lost his patience and was ready to end this quickly.

But to his surprise, Qin Tuo said,

"Since you don’t recognize this ring, then call Long Wu over to take a look. If he shows up, I might consider giving the Mutton Fat Jade back to you."

"What? You dare to say Master Long’s name so casually?"

Wu Xiong laughed in disbelief as a murderous intent began to build within him.

"Daring to disrespect Master Long... I see you have a death wish."

At that, Wu Xiong made up his mind to beat Qin Tuo half to death.

"Haha, what an idiot! He’s walking right into his own grave!"

Boss Wang, standing to the side, was secretly ecstatic.

The kind-hearted Master Qian and the others had already backed away, unable to bear watching any longer.

Just as Wu Xiong was about to make his move, Qin Tuo suddenly said with a cold laugh,

"Since you don’t want to call Long Wu, I’ll just call him myself. But when I do, don’t say I didn’t warn you!"

’Wait, something’s not right...’

Wu Xiong froze. He frowned, unable to shake the feeling that something was very wrong.

’Where is this kid getting all this confidence?’

’Could it be... he really knows Master Long?’

After a moment’s thought, Wu Xiong snorted.

"You just wait, kid. I’ll make a call and find out. I’ll deal with you after."

He then stepped to the side, pulled out his phone, and called his direct superior, Sixth Master.

With his status as a minor boss, he wasn’t qualified to speak directly with Long Wu.

For all matters, big or small, within the organization, he could only report to Sixth Master.

"Yeah, what is it?"

Sixth Master’s apathetic voice came from the other end of the line.

Wu Xiong replied cautiously, his voice full of false cheer.

"Sixth Master, we’ve got some trouble here on Antique Street. Some guy is spouting arrogant nonsense and disrespecting Master Long. I was wondering..."

Before he could finish, Sixth Master cut him off with a cold rebuke.

"Wu Xiong, you useless piece of trash! You’re calling to bother me with this bullshit? Someone’s disrespecting Master Long? Just beat the hell out of him! You need to ask my permission for that?"

"Yes, yes, you’re absolutely right, Sixth Master!"

Wu Xiong immediately started bowing and scraping, as if Sixth Master were standing right in front of him.

"But Sixth Master, there’s something you should know. This young man... he acts like he knows Master Long. That’s why I called to check with you."

"Knows Master Long?"

On the other end of the line, Sixth Master’s eye twitched. Suddenly recalling something, he asked hurriedly,

"What kind of young man is he?"

Wu Xiong replied nonchalantly,

"Just some ordinary punk. He’s wearing this weirdly shaped ring and made a big deal about showing it to me. Isn’t that hilarious, Sixth Master?"

To lighten the mood, Wu Xiong let out a couple of dry laughs.

But in the next instant, Sixth Master’s voice suddenly turned deathly serious.

"Wu Xiong, you son of a bitch! Are you trying to get yourself killed?!"

"Huh? Sixth Master... what do you mean?"

Wu Xiong was scared out of his wits, his face a mask of panic. He had no idea what he’d done wrong.

Sixth Master screamed into the phone, practically jumping out of his skin.

"Wu Xiong, you listen to me, and you listen good! From this moment on, you serve that young man like he’s a god! I’m going to inform Master Long right now!"

"When Master Long gets there, if that young man is the slightest bit unhappy, your entire family can prepare to be buried with you!"
