"My dear daughter, why don’t you go for a walk? Mr. Qin must have his reasons. Don’t make a fuss."
Since her father had spoken, Chen Man Ni reluctantly agreed.
But just before she left, she suddenly added,
"Qin Tuo, when you’re done talking with my dad, you’re taking me out to eat!"
Her words carried a hint of a command, clearly expecting Qin Tuo to make up for his earlier refusal.
Qin Tuo nodded and agreed.
Only after Chen Man Ni had left did Qin Tuo slowly begin to speak.
