Chapter 427: Chapter-427

"My Lady?!" Samuel asked, his voice spiking with genuine panic as he felt her suddenly go limp. "Is something wrong?! Is it the nausea again?"

Heena just weakly shook her head, her face buried against his chest. "Leave me..." she mumbled into his robes, feeling as if her heart was literally crawling up her throat.

Samuel, of course, absolutely did not leave her, only holding her tighter with a look of desperate worry. But Heena couldn’t even focus on her husband’s devotion.

Her mind was entirely consumed by the catastrophic reality of what her idiot System had just done. He hadn’t just sent an angry complaint—he had literally turned the entire administrative office, the HR department, and the dispatch center into her mortal enemies.

’I am done for,’ Heena thought, a single metaphorical tear rolling down her soul’s cheek. ’My salary... my performance bonus... my Class-A vacation resorts... They are all completely gone.’

.

.

.

About an hour later, the heavy chaos of the courtyard was finally a distant memory. Heena was resting comfortably on her plush, silk-draped bed in her private room, eyes closed, desperately trying to let Seera’s fragile body recover from the sheer exertion of the day.

Just as she was finally drifting into a peaceful, nausea-free sleep, a frantic digital voice shattered the silence.

’’"Host! Host!"’’ the System practically shrieked, bouncing around her head. ’’"Wake up! Your friends are calling!"’’

Heena groaned, violently pulling a silk pillow over her face. ’I don’t have friends,’ she grumbled in her mind. ’And who in their right mind initiates a cross-dimensional social call in the middle of an active mission? Reject it.’

But the System, completely ignoring her entirely valid command, didn’t even wait for her permission.

’BZZZT.’

With a loud, digital hum, the System automatically accepted the incoming call log. In the blink of an eye, a massive holographic screen completely exploded into existence. It wasn’t just a small, floating interface; it was a gigantic, room-filling projection that practically turned her entire bedroom into a glowing, IMAX-level theater screen

Displayed across the massive projection were four outrageously gorgeous individuals—two men and two women.

Before anyone even said a single "hello," the entire room was instantly filled with the sound of absolute, hysterical laughter.

Heena slowly lowered the pillow from her face. Her left eyelid twitched violently.

These people were definitely not her friends. They were her old coursemates from the Central Administration Academy. In the vast corporate hierarchy of the multiverse, Heena was an elite from the ’Black Lotus/Vengeance Division’. These four, however, belonged to different departments. A couple of them were professional ’Side Characters’—actors who swooped in to play loyal knights or tragic best friends—and the others were from the ’Female Lead Division’, specializing in standard, overly-sweet romance plots.

They were currently holding their stomachs, wiping tears of sheer mirth from their eyes as they looked at her through the screen.

The woman in the center, who possessed a head of fiery red hair and the glittering attire of a fantasy empress, leaned close to her camera. She pointed a perfectly manicured finger directly at Heena and burst into a fresh fit of giggles.

"Hahaha! Oh my god!" the red-haired woman cackled, completely losing her aristocratic composure. "So the day has finally come! Even ’you’—the untouchable, perfectly disciplined, so-called ’Madam’ of the Black Lotus division—managed to make the entire Institute completely lose their minds with anger!"

Heena just stared at the screen, her face completely deadpan, silently praying for the ground to open up and swallow her.

"I really, ’really’ have to ask you," the red-haired woman gasped, trying to catch her breath. "What absolute masterpiece of corporate treason did you pull off?! The officials literally called us in a panic, ordered all of us to evacuate this world immediately, and permanently sealed your sector!"

The other female lead next to her nodded enthusiastically, a massive grin on her face.

"Exactly!" the redhead laughed, tossing her hair over her shoulder. "And the best part? Because it was an ’emergency administrative evacuation,’ they had to give us our full mission pay without us even finishing the plotline! We literally got a paid vacation, all thanks to you!"

Heena slowly let her head drop back into her silk pillows, staring at the ceiling with an expression of pure, unadulterated exhaustion.

"System," she whispered, her voice dangerously calm. "Disconnect the call before I use my bare hands to delete your memory drive."

’’"I-I can’t, Host!"’’ the System whimpered, trembling as it hovered near the bedposts. ’’"They used an official high-priority emergency frequency! Since they were evacuated from this world, their channels have administrative bypass rights!"’’

"Oh, don’t you dare hide, Heena!" a soft, angelic voice chimed in from the massive holographic screen.

Heena dragged her gaze back to the projection, her eyes landing on the second woman in the call. This was ’’Lilia’’, a veteran from the ’Pure White Lotus & Saintess Division’. True to her department’s archetype, Lilia looked like a literal angel descended from the heavens. She wore pristine, flowing white robes, possessed a soft, halo-like glow around her perfect features, and her eyes were wide, watery, and innocent.

But the moment Lilia opened her mouth, the fragile, holy illusion instantly shattered. She aggressively leaned into her camera, happily stuffing a handful of interdimensional spicy chips into her mouth.

"Seriously, bro, ’trash collector’?" Lilia snorted, wiping red chili powder onto her holy white silk sleeve. "Did you really look at the Board of Directors—the most terrifying, petty, power-tripping deities in the entire corporate network—and basically call them a bunch of glorified recycling bins? You are an absolute madwoman! I am literally screenshotting the HR incident report and framing it."

"At least she has some fire left in her," a deep, profoundly melancholic voice sighed.

The camera panned slightly to reveal the first male host, ’’Julian’’, a senior actor from the ’Tragic Second Male Lead & Martyr Division’. Julian was staggeringly handsome in a dark, brooding way, dressed in the heavy, rain-soaked leather armor of a tragic fantasy knight. His shoulders were permanently slumped, and his dark eyes looked perpetually misted with tears—a professional hazard of playing characters whose sole purpose was to get their hearts broken and die in a ditch for the main couple’s plot progression.

Julian let out a heavy, theatrical sigh that could have won an award for melodrama. He casually leaned his chin on the hilt of a prop sword. "I envy you, Heena. You get to scream at management. Meanwhile, I just spent three consecutive worlds getting rejected by the female lead, watching her marry a toxic tyrant, and then sacrificing my life to save their stupid kid. If I have to bleed out while smiling nobly one more time, I’m going to jump into the corporate incinerator. Your angry rant was like poetry to my soul."

"Please, Julian, keep your depressing tragic aura away from my lighting," the fourth and final host drawled smoothly.

This was ’’Reis’’, the undisputed king of the ’Overbearing CEO & Tyrant Emperor Division’. Reis was styled to absolute perfection. He wore a flawlessly tailored, modern black three-piece suit, his dark hair slicked back without a single strand out of place. He wasn’t even looking at Heena; instead, he was leaning close to his screen, using the camera reflection to meticulously check his own jawline and adjust his diamond cufflinks. He radiated an aura of supreme, unshakeable narcissism.
