Chapter 354: Chapter 352: Who Are You on the Phone With? 4

Annabelle Linton looked at the strange man before her and paused.

Her gaze fell on his leering eyes and prominent beer belly, and a dark glint flickered in her own. She instantly put two and two together.

She’d been set up.

From the moment wine was spilled on her to her arrival in this private lounge, everything had been orchestrated by someone else.

’Who could it be?’

Annabelle Linton’s eyes narrowed, her expression turning icy. "Can’t you see this lounge is occupied? Get out!"

Dressed only in a bathrobe, she couldn’t possibly leave.

"Get out? Why would I get out? I have no intention of leaving now that I’m here. Hey, little beauty, doing it in a place like this must be a real thrill. Wanna give it a try?"

The man’s eyes roamed over Annabelle Linton, who was clad in a white silk bathrobe.

The robe was short, revealing her long, slender, porcelain-white legs and the pale skin of her neck. Her face was stunningly beautiful. The way she was now leaning languidly against the bathroom door, watching him with a blank expression, gave off an alluring, almost provocative air.

The man approached Annabelle Linton with a lecherous grin. "Not bad. A rare stunner indeed. Don’t you worry. From now on, you’ll be with me. Just drop all your other sugar daddies. I guarantee you’ll be set for life."

’So he’s decided I’m a call girl.’

She folded her arms, watching the man approach, a smirk playing on her lips. "Be with you? Believe it or not, if you sleep with me tonight, I’ll make you disappear from this city by tomorrow."

"I don’t believe you!"

The man lunged at Annabelle Linton impatiently.

Annabelle calmly executed a graceful sidestep, and the man crashed right into the wall.

His clumsy body missed its target and slammed into the hard wall. The man grew angry. "Playing hard to get? Cut the act! Just take off your clothes. No need to pull the same tricks you use on your other clients!"

Annabelle Linton’s expression remained unchanged. She leaned lazily against the window and said coolly, "I’ll say it one more time. Get out. Or don’t blame me for what happens next."

The man didn’t believe her for a second and lunged at her again. "Oh, I’d love to see what ’happens next’!"

Annabelle rolled her eyes, bored. As he lunged, she suddenly spun around and delivered a beautiful roundhouse kick, sending the man sprawling to the floor.

She felt the floor shake when he landed.

The man was completely floored, groaning and crying out in pain on the ground.

Annabelle sat down on the sofa and gestured toward the door with her chin. "Get out if you don’t want another beating. This is your last chance."

But the man had clearly been hit so hard he couldn’t even get up.

She gave his exaggerated expression a speechless look, then stood up and headed for the door.

’This was definitely a setup,’ she thought. ’Following the classic playbook, someone will burst in with a group of people to "catch us in the act."’

’It’s a cliché, but more than enough to ruin my reputation. I can’t stay here.’

’As for who set me up, I’ll have to investigate later. This man was obviously just a pawn; he probably doesn’t know a thing.’

She walked to the door and tried to open it, but it was locked from the outside.

Annabelle Linton frowned, rattling the door. Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through her shoulder.

She spun around. The man was grabbing her injured left shoulder, his face dark and menacing. He swung his hand for a slap. "You bitch! You refused to do this the easy way, so now you’ll do it the hard way!"

Annabelle ducked, easily dodging his slap. A bone-deep chill settled in her eyes.
