Chapter 338: Chapter 237: As Long as She’s Happy

"I wouldn’t dare!" Chase denied it out loud, but inwardly he breathed a silent sigh of relief.

’Sir, you were the one who said you wouldn’t be taking any business trips this year. What is all this about now?’

"Should I book your plane ticket right away, then?"

Grant looked at him coolly.

Chase silently wiped away a bead of sweat and explained, "What I mean is, are you planning to leave immediately? What about your schedule for today?"

"Cancel."

Grant’s single word made it clear he was leaving right away.

An hour later, he was sitting on a plane to The Sundered Lands, his eyes closed.

’Annabelle, I have to leave this city, this place where we lived together, for a while.’

’I hope I can forget you by the time I come back.’

’And I hope you’ll be okay.’

’I love you.’

...

Time passed quickly. In just one month, Grant had made great strides in expanding his business in The Sundered Lands.

He acquired a massive online electronics company there and successfully took it public on stock exchanges around the world.

His net worth, already in the hundreds of billions, skyrocketed dozens of times over, making him a household name throughout Celestia and even across the East and West.

He was busy—so busy that he didn’t leave himself a single free moment, all to numb the pain.

He held a press conference.

Cameras panned across his face. His hair was shorter than before, and he had lost some weight, but his aura was even more refined.

A faint smile played on his lips. He was the very picture of cold asceticism and devilish charm—dashing, graceful, and noble.

Sitting next to him was the Princess of this country.

A handsome man is a magnet for admirers wherever he goes.

The Princess gazed at Grant, utterly infatuated. Her affection was so strong that two charming dimples appeared on her cheeks, and her beautiful eyes were filled with adoration.

’How could such a perfect man exist in this world?’

Grant simply sat there, his expression indifferent, his gaze fixed on no one.

Yet, the cold, sharp lines of his profile were brazenly perfect, and the faint curve of his lips exuded an irresistible charm.

The Princess gave the host a meaningful look.

The host took the hint and gracefully posed a personal question to Grant: "Mr. Grant, you now possess immeasurable wealth. We’re all curious about your personal life. Is there a special woman you have your eye on?"

The fangirls drooling over their screens practically wanted to give the host a thumbs-up.

’What a thoughtful question!’

Grant paused. An image of Annabelle’s cold, stunning face flashed through his mind, and the corners of his lips curved into an unconscious, gentle smile. He replied softly, "Yes."

Everyone gasped.

The Princess’s eyes narrowed dangerously.

The host saw her reaction and, after a pretty blink of their eyes, continued, "Could you perhaps reveal who this lucky lady is? Please don’t think me rude; we’re all just curious to know who could possibly capture your attention."

Grant lowered his gaze and smiled faintly again. That rare slip of gentleness was enough to make one fall for him completely; everyone was stunned by his beauty.

He chuckled softly, then looked away. "No. I don’t want her to be subjected to unnecessary disturbances."

Pink hearts practically bubbled up in everyone’s eyes. ’How sweet!’

"Then what kind of person is she? And what is your relationship now?"

When Annabelle was mentioned, Grant was always gentle and patient.

For some reason, he was surprisingly open to the questions tonight. "She’s a very, very good person. The warmth and beauty she brought into my life is something no one else can match... As for our relationship..."

Grant’s eyes dimmed for a moment. Then, a pang of pain shot through his heart, but his smile only deepened. He let out a soft laugh, his deep eyes brimming with tenderness. "All I can say is, as long as she’s happy, that’s all that matters. Even if I’m not the one who gives her that happiness."
