-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After he went back inside, he sat down and started thinking about his future cultivation path. He already knew that no matter the world, cultivation could be divided into three parts. Energy, Body, and Soul. They were the foundation of evolution. Will was also an important aspect but it could be grouped together with Soul. In Murim, they were known as the Three Treasures.

So, if he wanted to become the Cheonma and return to his home, he needed to be very careful with his cultivation. He realized that he needed to organize and compile his current techniques and his plans to make most of the little time that he had.

He took a notebook and on its cover, he wrote the words ’Soul and Will/Shen’ in a language that he had created himself. He started thinking while noting it all down. Currently, he wasn’t practicing any techniques for them but he already had an idea. The best thing about this technique would be that it would be useful even back at home.

This was gonna be the core technique of their Pantheon. Instead of visualizing a Demon, he would visualize himself, or the eighteen winged version of himself. It sounded arrogant and it honestly was but it also showed the confidence that Zeke had in himself and his Race.

First he thought of a name for the technique. He remembered the form he had taken after devouring the Mara Demon. It reminded him of a Race of creatures that were often mistaken as Demons. The Asuras.

He decided to name that form as the Asuran Neo-Nephilim Primogenitor. This would be his gift to the world of Murim. To cultivate this technique, one would have to visualize the Asuran Neo-Nephilim Primogenitor. This technique would be divided into thirteen levels.

In the first level, one would visualize the wingless tattooed body of the Asuran Neo-Nephilim Primogenitor. It wouldn’t have the horns, the third eye, or the crown. Then, one would visualize the nine pairs of wings, one by one. Each pair would equal a level. Then, the horns at the eleventh level, crown at twelfth and finally, the third eye at the thirteenth level.

He decided that he would try this technique tonight. If he was successful, then he would draw the visualization.

He let the ink dry while he picked up the second notebook. On its cover, he wrote the word, ’Energy/Qi’. He knew that he was going to have to switch to Nine Lotus Hells Technique. As for the Hell Lotus Technique, it was a part of the Nine Lotus Hells Technique, so there was no need to practice it separately.

After reading this technique, he found that although it was extremely strong, it was also somewhat unstable. The internal qi that this technique gathered was extremely violent. It was not only lethal for enemies, but also oneself.

The technique that he was currently practicing was the exact opposite. The Three Origins Technique was all about going with the flow. The technique was slow but extremely stable. The internal qi that this technique gathered was extremely peaceful.

It couldn’t hurt his enemies at all. He finally understood the problem. Both of these techniques were too extreme. He needed to find a middle ground if he wanted to get the results he wanted.

He was going to merge the best aspects of both these techniques. Merging techniques was tough business. He would need to think of hundreds if not thousands of combinations of meridians and their effects. But he could do it. He knew that he could.

[Of course, I could. After all, I’m Ezekiel fucking Ashbourne.]

Finally, he picked up the third notebook and wrote the word, ’Body/Jing’ on it. His body had somehow already absorbed about a year’s worth of internal energy. But he was thinking of slowing that down for some time for two reasons.

First, he didn’t know how absorbing internal energy was affecting the bad. He needed to do some research on it first. Second, even if it was only positive and there were no side effects, he didn’t want his body to absorb the internal energy gathered with the Three Origin Technique.

He was also practicing Mountain. It was an external art. After the battle in his mind, he also regained his photographic memory that was being suppressed for some reason and remembered why this technique felt familiar and the reason that old man had so much confidence in it.

It was the beggar’s version of the Arhat Vajra Body Technique from the Shaolin Temple. He thought, ’I wonder where they got it from. There’s no way Shaolin Temple has fallen, right? What am I thinking, Shaolin is one of the top three sects in the Righteous Alliance. There’s no way it would fall.’

Then he started thinking about the possibilities of him being able to complete the technique on his own. The possibilities were low. Although he would be able to complete it, it would take a lot of time and effort. It just wasn’t worth it. It would also conflict with his Energy technique.

But what if, instead of completing it, he remodeled it for his physique. Now that was something he could get around. Ideas were bursting inside his head and was jotting them all down. But he was interrupted by the sound of his rumbling stomach. He grabbed the meat wrapped in leaves and placed it on a stone.

Then he grabbed a bone knife and infused it with the little amount of internal energy left in his body. He rapidly cut the meat into thin slices. After doing that, he used a pair of bone chopsticks to eat the thinly sliced meat. He just considered it as bootleg sashimi. After he had finished his meal, he did a light workout to stretch his muscles. It was now time.

He sat cross legged and started focusing. He knew that he would be able to reach a high level fairly quickly because he already had a SS Grade Will. He entered his mental realm. As he remembered the feeling that he had at that time, a humanoid figure slowly started manifesting in front of him.

When it had completely manifested, he could feel that the figure was slightly suppressing his mental realm. Although it was nothing to him and he wouldn’t even have felt it if he wasn’t focusing, it would be pretty obvious to a newbie. The suppression would help them polish their Will and condense their soul.

He then proceeded with the next levels of the technique. He quickly manifested eight pairs of wings before the suppression became too much for him to continue. He could tell that he would achieve SSS Grade Will at the tenth level, and EX Grade at the eleventh level. He couldn’t think what would happen at the two final levels.

He woke up, and it was already morning. He stretched his muscles and picked up the two bladed swordstaff. He carefully read it and started practicing. After reading the manual, he realized that his proficiency in this weapon would be highly dependent on his ability to spin it with not only two handedly, but also single handedly.

After that, it was pure repetitive practice. He practiced from morning till evening without a single break. His hands already had blisters on them but he still didn’t stop. After training, he went to the barrels and took a day’s worth of meat.

He cut it into thin slices once again and ate it. He wanted to draw the visualization but wasn’t able to because of the blisters. He took a leaf that was wrapped around the meat and wrapped his hands with it. He then meditated on the visualization before falling asleep.

After he woke up, he unwrapped his hands. They had already healed and were now covered in dead skin that came right off. If somebody were to look at his hands, they wouldn’t believe that he had ever held a weapon. Not just his hands, his whole body was scar free because everytime he was injured, the scar would turn into dead skin and come right off.

He again stretched his body and got back to training. He had to do this for a month before blisters stopped forming on his hands. Now, he was finally able to draw the visualization. Instead of ink, he decided to draw it in his own blood. He opened the notebook and created a slit on his wrist. He dipped the quill in the cut, letting the blood fill the grooves in it. Then he started drawing.

While he was drawing he also remembered the pride and arrogance that he had felt when he had taken the form of the Asuran Neo-Nephilim Primogenitor. He poured all of it in the quill and with his blood as a guide, he transferred it into the drawing. Once he was done, the drawing started glowing brightly. When the glow subsided, the drawing had changed. He was extremely shocked. It now looked like a photograph instead of a drawing.
