Chapter 80: Berserk Bonjour, Big Ice

Kalar Highlands, Northwestern Snowy Mountains – Great Alka Range.

This region was one of the most isolated locations within the Kalar Highlands.

Constant blizzards and heavy snowfall covered the mountains throughout nearly the entire year, making travel here extremely dangerous even for experienced adventurers.

At the same time, however, this frozen land was also the territory of the Yetis.

Unlike ordinary monsters, Yetis possessed intelligence, culture, and their own territorial domains hidden deep within the snowy mountain ranges.

And currently, nearly a hundred kilometers away from the central Yeti territory.

A rather suspicious scene was taking place inside a hidden location concealed through natural formations and special artifacts.

Several barbarians were gathered there while carefully hiding their presence.

At the center of the camp stood a large metal cage.

Inside it, a small Yeti sat furiously while glaring at everyone around him.

"Oh my ancestors...!" one barbarian muttered while wiping cold sweat from his forehead.

"I genuinely thought we were getting caught that time!"

"No way, that concealment artifact was personally given to me by that person himself. He clearly said Yetis could be fooled with it."

"My five-kilogram heart was pounding like a drum!" another barbarian complained dramatically.

"And this little Yeti is unbelievably dumb!"

"Hahaha!"

"Hahahaha!"

Several barbarians burst into laughter.

Meanwhile, inside the cage, the imprisoned Yeti glared at them with murderous intent.

Despite being only around four feet tall and somewhat round, the little Yeti radiated tremendous confidence.

"But Bonjour still hasn’t appeared even after an entire day..."

One barbarian suddenly spoke more seriously.

"I’ve already informed the higher-ups," another replied.

Then someone else sighed.

"How much longer are we supposed to watch this little guy? It’s honestly becoming annoying."

"ICE POWER!" the imprisoned Yeti suddenly roared.

BOOOOM!

The chains binding him rattled violently as frost spread across the surrounding metal. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

SKRREEEET—!

Sparks erupted from the reinforced chains while the small Yeti stared at the barbarians with eyes filled with determination.

"Once I escape, I freeze all of you in ice for the rest of your lives!" the Yeti declared.

Unfortunately for him, the surrounding barbarians completely ignored the threat.

"I already told your angry face looks stupid."

One of them then casually pointed upward instead.

"...Did you all see that strange light?"

"Huh?"

"I think something’s flying toward us."

Another barbarian squinted toward the sky before his expression suddenly changed.

"...I think it’s about to hit us directly."

"Where, in the ass?" The only one barbarian who was not looking at the sky said.

"What?"

"What?!"

A strange multicolored beam was descending rapidly from the sky.

And even more shocking thing was that the beam directly penetrated the natural concealment formation protecting the hidden camp as though it did not exist at all.

BOOOOM!

Two figures suddenly crashed down from within the light and landed directly in the snow.

"Damn...! That actually hurt a lot." Caelum muttered while slowly getting up.

"BIG ICE! WHERE ARE YOU?!" Bonjour shouted loudly the moment he landed.

The surrounding barbarians stared blankly at the two people who had suddenly descended from the sky like falling meteors.

"It’s Bonjour! Catch him!"

"Attack immediately!"

The surrounding barbarians reacted the instant they recognized him.

Before either Caelum or Bonjour could properly recover from the teleportation, multiple barbarians had already lunged toward them.

Caelum regained his footing quickly while instantly observing the battlefield.

’Thirteen barbarians... most of them are around Expert-level in strength except for that hidden one.’ he calculated.

His eyes narrowed toward a particular hidden barbarian whose Arder fluctuated far more intensely than the others.

Then his gaze shifted toward the cage nearby.

Inside it, a small Yeti remained chained heavily.

The creature’s arms were bleeding from the restraints binding it, yet despite its injuries, its bright eyes still burned fiercely.

’So that’s Big Ice,’ Caelum concluded immediately.

"BONJOUR!" the caged Yeti suddenly roared excitedly.

And the moment Bonjour saw the injured state of the Yeti, something inside him snapped.

"BIG ICE!!!"

His voice thundered throughout the hidden base.

"WHO DID THIS TO YOU?! HAAAAAA—!"

Dark black smoke suddenly erupted from the tattoo spread across Bonjour’s chest and shoulder.

The glowing pearl slipped from his hand as he instantly charged toward the barbarians like a berserk beast.

"The hell?!"

"How can he already use those powers?! He hasn’t even matured yet!"

The surrounding barbarians visibly recoiled.

Then all of them simultaneously released their Arder.

Energy in various colors exploded around their bodies as they prepared themselves seriously.

Meanwhile, Bonjour had already crashed directly into two barbarians head-on like a wild monster.

BOOOOM!

The black smoke surrounding him thickened further.

Four more barbarians immediately attacked from behind.

"HAAAAAA—!"

Bonjour roared once more.

A miniature black burst suddenly erupted outward from his body, violently sending several barbarians flying backward through the snow.

"Shit! Don’t let that energy touch your body!" one barbarian shouted urgently.

Immediately afterward, multiple barbarians pulled out thick chains from spatial storage artifacts.

Their intention was obvious, to capture Bonjour alive.

The black fog surrounding Bonjour condensed around his arm before transforming into a gigantic projection of a black hand.

BOOOOM!

The enormous hand smashed directly into one barbarian.

The man’s protective Arder shattered instantly upon contact.

Then the black energy touched his body.

The barbarian’s expression immediately twisted in agony.

The flesh around the impacted area visibly began rotting while an overwhelming sense of weakness spread throughout him.

"Capture him at all costs!" Another barbarian yelled urgently.

"Protect yourselves properly! Beat him half to death if necessary, we only need him alive!"

The atmosphere instantly grew far more serious.

While everyone focused entirely on the berserk Bonjour, Caelum quietly slipped away toward the caged Yeti.

The glowing pearl now remained in his hand.

After sensing the similar energy radiating between the pearl and the Yeti, Caelum immediately understood that the object likely belonged to Big Ice somehow.

After all, the one who gave this to Bonjour was also a Yeti, a massive one at that.

The small Yeti growled deeply the moment it saw him approaching.

Its eyes carried obvious hostility.

After all, the only things it had ever heard about humans were stories describing them as evil, cunning, and deceptive creatures.

Caelum slowly crouched down near the cage while holding out the glowing pearl.

"Come on Big Ice, take the candy."

Then he pointed toward the raging Bonjour in the distance.

"I’m Bonjour’s friend and definitely not a suspicious individual at all..."
