Chapter 76: Freeza The Dealer

Caelum and Bonjour immediately felt an invisible gaze settle upon them the moment the question was asked.

For some reason, both of them instinctively felt compelled to answer it seriously.

"I don’t know, I’m only seven." Caelum replied honestly while rubbing his nose from the cold.

Bonjour thought for a moment before answering in a much more straightforward manner.

"My father said the ancestral ways are always correct," he said confidently.

"So maybe my ancestors were perfect."

Silence followed briefly.

Then the mysterious voice sighed.

"...I truly shouldn’t expect meaningful answers from sheltered children."

As the voice finished speaking, a luminous glow slowly began forming ahead of them.

However, even after the light gathered together, neither Caelum nor Bonjour could properly see the figure standing there.

The only reason they knew something existed in front of them at all was because the surrounding space itself bent unnaturally around a small outline.

It was as though space distorted merely from the entity’s presence.

"Are you Freeza... the dealer?" Bonjour asked cautiously.

Caelum had already explained some details regarding this place during their journey, but Bonjour definitely did not expect an existence comparable to a god to appear before them.

Especially not one called "Freeza."

"Yes, I am Freeza," the entity replied calmly.

"But who exactly told you that I’m a dealer?"

Caelum narrowed his eyes suspiciously.

"How are we supposed to believe you’re really Freeza?" he asked immediately.

"My name is Paul, please provide proof."

At the same time, he secretly activated his [Heaven Reading Eyes] in an attempt to observe the entity properly.

And the instant he did.

"AHHHH—!"

Blood suddenly leaked from his eyes as Caelum let out a painful scream.

The mysterious entity casually waved a hand.

Immediately, the bleeding stopped.

"You should avoid spying on higher existences," Freeza said while staring directly at him.

"And those eyes of yours made me extremely uncomfortable."

Although the visitors standing before her were merely children, she had already noticed several deeply troubling things about them.

From Bonjour, she sensed traces connected to one of the Barbarian Pillars.

And knowing exactly how terrifying those creatures truly were, she had absolutely no interest in becoming involved with them unnecessarily. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

As for the other child, he was even worse.

Freeza could sense within Caelum traces of a bloodline that should have long gone extinct.

Or more accurately, a bloodline that had once been deliberately exterminated.

"Alright," Caelum said immediately while suppressing the lingering pain in his eyes.

"I believe you’re God Freeza now."

At this point, he genuinely felt he needed to behave more maturely.

"First of all, stop lying about your name and, I am not a god!" Freeza replied irritably.

The surrounding temperature dropped further.

"Even though I have many subordinates and even a fully developed Divinity, I myself am a Fairy!"

Her tone became increasingly annoyed.

"A legendary fairy at that, one of the oldest."

Clearly, Freeza deeply disliked being mistaken for some ordinary fairy.

She possessed pride in her own identity.

Meanwhile, Bonjour decided to ask the question they actually needed answered.

"So... what exactly do we need to do for you to send us outside?"

Freeza immediately looked at him strangely.

"Child, aren’t you rushing things a little too much?" she said slowly.

Then she floated slightly closer toward them.

"Standing before an ancient existence like me, shouldn’t you feel curious?" she asked.

"Shouldn’t you want to ask about hidden truths or secrets capable of shaking the world?"

Her voice became softer.

"Don’t you possess that sort of greed?"

Caelum immediately responded.

"Can you tell us how ancient are you?"

SMACK!

A freezing projectile instantly struck him directly in the forehead.

"You dare ask a lady her age?!" Freeza shouted furiously.

The surrounding temperature dropped even lower.

"I’m only tolerating you because I happen to like children!"

Caelum’s eyes widened slightly.

For some reason, he suddenly felt extremely insecure and after sensing his emotional fluctuations, Freeza hurriedly corrected herself.

"I mean, I like noble, pure-hearted, and good children!" she clarified quickly.

Unfortunately, that explanation somehow made Caelum feel even more nervous.

’My father is a Count so I’m technically very noble,’ he thought with growing alarm.

’I am pure hearted as well... and Bonjour is practically barbarian royalty,’

Then another horrifying thought entered his mind.

’Wait... what if she expects us to do something strange before letting us leave this isolated place?’

Although Freeza could not directly read his dark hearted thoughts, she could clearly sense his increasingly disturbed emotional state.

And eventually, she snapped.

"HHHAAAAAA—!"

A brilliant white glow suddenly erupted around her tiny body, she was literally glowing like a Super Saiyan.

The temperature in the entire area plummeted instantly as the luminous aura surrounding her expanded violently.

At that moment, Freeza resembled some legendary transformed being ascending into a higher state.

Then, Caelum and poor innocent Bonjour simultaneously froze in place.

Their thoughts themselves paused.

However, despite their minds freezing, the things currently inside their heads continued echoing uncontrollably.

"I am absolutely not doing strange things just to leave this place..."

"I feel like I forgot something important..."

"...Why am I saying my thoughts out loud?"

"You too? Me too... but seriously, I think I forgot something very important..."

"Wait... why did we even come here again?"

"Oh hell! BIG ICE! WHERE ARE YOU?!" Bonjour shouted in panic.

The moment Freeza heard the chaotic stream of thoughts spilling out from the two boys, she facepalmed.

’What exactly is wrong with these children?’ she wondered while feeling her mood worsen slightly.

For some reason, this situation strangely reminded her of that knight who had visited this place long ago.

He too had arrived filled with dramatic intentions, only to immediately challenge random things to combat.

"Hmph." Freeza lightly snorted while crossing her arms.

"Nobody besides the two of you has entered this forbidden region recently," she said calmly.

"So if you’re worried about your missing giant ice friend, then stop panicking."

Then a faintly mischievous tone entered her voice.

"And since you two wanted to know how to leave this place..."

The glowing fairy floated slightly higher into the air.

"I can indeed tell you the method."

Both boys immediately became attentive.

However, Freeza’s smile suddenly widened in a rather suspicious manner.

"But, one of you must first give up the thing you cherish the most."

Silence instantly followed.

Meanwhile, Freeza inwardly felt extremely satisfied.

After all, she was a fairy, and fairies naturally loved mischief.

Especially when dealing with suspiciously dark-hearted children like Caelum and Bonjour.

"I will give you my D..."
