Chapter 2091: Lolth And The Evil God of Dungeons

-----

Dragon Tomb Dungeon.

"GRAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!"

The soul-wrenching scream of an evil goddess tore through the vast tomb dungeon. Her monstrous new body, fused with the sacred corpse of a young divine dragon, twisted violently as her damaged soul convulsed in agony.

"T-THAT DAMN BITCH! HOW IS SHE ALIVE?!"

She clenched her mandibles, sharp claws slashing and gouging the ground. Giant boulders flew in every direction as she roared. The surrounding monsters—arachnids and undead dragons—screamed in terror while she rampaged, lunging at them and devouring them alive.

Their agonized cries echoed as her mandibles tore massive chunks from their living bodies. She viciously siphoned their essence, her gigantic maw opening wide to absorb and consume everything around her.

The more monsters she devoured, the more souls she claimed, the more her wounded soul slowly began to mend—though the process itself was excruciating.

"H-HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!" she cried, tears streaming from her eyes as despair consumed her. The ground shook beneath her. "Why is she back?! WHY?! WHY WON’T YOU LEAVE ME ALONE?!"

She wept like a broken child, smashing the earth with her many legs and hands, screaming at the unfairness of the world and the cruelty of her fate.

"WHY?! WHY?! WHY?! WHYYYYY!!!"

RUMBLE!

Her massive hands slammed into the ground, shattering it with deep cracks and forming enormous craters. Nether flames surged upward from the dungeon’s depths, bathing her body in their dark glow.

"HAAA... HAAA... HAAA..."

She dragged her weakened form toward the Sea of Nether and began absorbing its power, desperately refining the secondary divinity she had been forging. Though she had fallen far after her near-death when she possessed Arachne and Sylphy, only to be stopped by the heroes, she had started recovering rapidly upon reaching this place.

It had not come without immense effort and suffering. She had dragged herself across the skies, hiding inside her fractured divine realm that constantly shed pieces of itself, pursued by dozens of vultures—lesser evil gods who had once been weaker than her—eager to consume her remains.

But she refused to fall. She fought with tooth and nail, reminding those weaklings why she had once ranked among the Ten Strongest Evil Gods of Terraria, a being who terrorized the surface and manipulated humans, elves, dwarves, and demons alike to spark endless wars.

She barely escaped, killing the weak Evil God Varulkak, the Evil God of Rotten Scales, and absorbing his dying essence. Concealing her presence, she fled into a dungeon to hide from the greater evil gods now hunting her.

There, she discovered a glowing corpse of a divine dragon oozing miasma. It still moved, having become both a powerful boss and the core of this twisted dungeon.

Carrying a potent curse, the Undead Dragon fought fiercely, spewing miasmic flames, but it was ultimately defeated—though not fully destroyed.

"You will become my vessel...! I have fallen too far. I need a proper vessel, something to merge with and gain power... like that bitch Armageddon did! It’s the only way! I will shatter my own existence, reduce my divinity, and turn myself into an aberration... But no matter what, I WILL have my revenge!"

With burning wrath and a desperate hunger for vengeance, Lolth shattered her original Divinity of Spiders and reduced herself into a Cursed Divine Spirit. She possessed the Undead Dragon, monstrously fusing with its lingering phantasmal soul and physical body to become a grotesque, aberrant creature.

From that moment, she began devouring the dungeon itself. She fused with its core, became its Dungeon Master, absorbed its power, consumed its monsters, and started reshaping the dungeon to produce her new offspring and powerful avatars using her own abilities.

However, nothing came easily.

Just as Lolth believed she was growing stronger again—piecing together her shattered divinity and forging something entirely new, a Divinity of Monsters themselves...

"So you were the one playing around with my favorite dungeon in the region, huh, Lolth?"

A voice echoed behind her. She panicked and lashed out at the divine figure, assuming it was another predatory evil god. Her attack failed to even graze him. The figure vanished and reappeared above her, bending space with every step.

"Are you sure you want to fight me?"

"Y-You’re...! Ahhhh!"

When she recognized the tall humanoid—blue-skinned, three-eyed, with long white hair, demon-like horns, and six muscular arms surrounded by floating dimensional cubes—Lolth instantly dropped to her knees and lowered her head.

She knew that among all evil gods, this one was strong enough to rival, if not surpass, even The Seats.

The Evil God of Dungeons.

"Please forgive me! Please forgive me! I-It wasn’t my intention to harm you! Aahh! T-The Dungeon! I’m so sorry—I was desperate, I couldn’t—Please don’t kill me! I’ll do anything!"

Frustration and self-loathing burned inside her, far more than any hatred for the god before her. How much longer would she have to degrade herself to such pathetic levels just to survive?

"Enough," he said. "I know very well you feel none of the regret you claim. But I also know you harbor deep resentment toward a certain someone. Someone I hate just as much."

"E-Eh?"

"You hate that damn girl, don’t you? Sylph. The infinite mana she commands, the power she holds... I want her. And I want her soon."

"!!!"

"Lolth, let’s make a deal."

"E-Eh?"

"Your power... I was planning to devour you, but I’ve changed my mind. We share the same enemy, and your power complements mine in ways that are... terrifyingly perfect."

"My divinity?!" Lolth stammered, her many eyes widening in disbelief.

The towering Evil God of Dungeons gazed down at her with cold indifference, his three eyes glowing with an unsettling violet light. The dimensional cubes orbiting his six arms spun faster, distorting the very air around them.

"Yes," he said calmly. "Your twisted Divinity of Monsters. The way you corrupt, consume, and reshape life itself. It pairs beautifully with my dominion over dungeons and their endless cycles of death and rebirth. Together, we can create something far greater than either of us could alone."
