Chapter 2087: The System Goddess

-----

Everyone stared in disbelief, unable to comprehend what they were witnessing. Dimenion’s hands trembled. He could have sworn he had grabbed her, torn her apart, shattered her source of spirit power, and infected both her body and soul to sever her connection to the system. Afterward, he had shattered her body into pieces and decimated her soul into tiny fragments that faded into nothingness.

How could her scattered pieces have returned? How could she have resurrected and been reborn stronger than ever? None of this made any sense. There was not a single living being in this universe—not even the Seats or Yggdrasil—capable of achieving such a feat after suffering such catastrophic damage to both body and soul at once.

And yet, right before everyone’s eyes, the impossible had happened. She had returned, stronger than ever, to claim vengeance and bring an end to this bitter struggle.

But how? How could she possibly fight him when he was so overwhelmingly superior? Could resurrection truly make that much of a difference?

Dimenion tried to remain confident in his own power, yet he could not stop the tremor of fear that ran through him before her overwhelming divine might.

"Dimenion, you’ve only allowed me to achieve something I should have done long ago, but was too afraid to try. Shall we begin round two?"

Everyone else gasped and screamed her name as recognition dawned. Her beloved familiars, her girlfriend, and her mother-in-law rejoiced at the sight of her return from death—a true miracle.

"SYLPHY!!!"

She was back, stronger than ever before. Alongside her, a new Divinity and System were born. Everyone present could feel it spreading like circuits across the entire surroundings. No longer confined to a single soul, it now extended outward as if she had forged a Law itself.

And indeed, that was exactly what she had done. Sylphy had brute-forced an artificial divinity by fusing hundreds of her shattered pieces back together, each infused with a System Seed.

This fusion deepened her connection to the system and allowed her divinity to meld with Alice’s divine powers. It awakened Alice’s dormant strength and the millions of Divine Runes she was composed of, all coalescing into a true Divinity, Law, and Authority.

What Sylphy had forged was nothing less than the Divinity of the System.

Aquarina shed a single tear as she saw her return. "Sylphy! You’re back! Sylphyyyyy!" she cried.

"S-She’s really back... Hahaha..." Nepheline’s eyes widened. "This is the System?! That power Sylphy shared with her friends! I have it now?! Stats, Skills! What is this incredible thing I don’t understand?!"

"We never lost hope that you would return, Sylphy!" Ignatius cried tears of joy. "Damn it, you stupid brat! Why did you worry about us so much, huh?! I’m going to kill you next!"

"Looks like it worked," Beelzebub said with a smile. "Not only did Sylphy absorb and consume this dungeon to gain enough power to resurrect, but she even devoured another one that Nephilim had marked with her Spell—an extension of her System."

"You knew about this?" Armageddon asked. Though secretly relieved, she kept her expression stern. "Just what were you two planning without telling anyone?! Don’t you know how worried I was! No, I mean... how worried we were! I wasn’t worried at all!"

"Yeah, sure, nobody believes you," Beelzebub replied with a grin. "Indeed, Sylphy allowed me to evolve and become something akin to an Evil God with that final push. It bought us all precious time while we fought Lolth—just for this glorious moment."

"Sylphy... that aura... it’s so dazzling... incredible," Pyuku muttered in disbelief. "And this power... the System?! I thought I wasn’t compatible back then, that my existence was too strong. But how?"

"This only means one thing!" Yggdra declared. "The System has grown so powerful that it can now be shared even with the strongest mortals, including the heroes, without issue. And I can feel it—it is not doing this alone. Everyone already connected to the System fuels it. We have all become part of a collective, helping one another. The more people who possess the System, the stronger it grows, and the more it can help us overcome impossible odds. This is what Sylphy wanted—because in this cruel world, even the gods refuse to answer the prayers of the people. So she... she chose to do it herself."

Sylphy’s eyes glowed with resolve. Beyond the horizon of this dimensional void, amidst the despair gripping those within Evercraft as they faced the horrors spawned by Lolth’s new Divinity of Curses and Monsters, a strange beeping sound echoed. Holographic status windows appeared before them.

"W-what is this power?!"

"I feel stronger?!"

"A blessing from the gods!"

"They have answered our prayers!"

The people struggling against the invading aberrations began shedding tears of hope even as they fought with renewed intensity. Skills, Titles, Stats, and Levels manifested before them. Every meaningful accomplishment in their lives was now rewarded with abilities that dramatically enhanced their fighting styles. Those who managed to slay monsters leveled up on the spot, their Stats surging as they stared in shock and awe.

They could not afford to lose focus. The entire city was under siege by Divine Cursed Monsters. Most of the creatures once held in captivity had broken free and transformed into giant beasts that now rampaged through the streets. They had to stop them.

Yet far beyond the chaos, within the Burning Forest Dungeon—or rather, the empty dimensional void left behind after the Dungeon Eater had consumed it entirely—Sylphy’s voice echoed through the world like a divine Law. Even the Gods above in their Celestial Vessels, the Divine Spirits below, and Yggdrasil itself heard her proclamation.

"If the gods themselves won’t answer their prayers, then I will."

It was a bold and defiant voice—one that mocked those who held power yet chose only to abuse or ignore it. A voice that showed she feared neither the Spirit Gods nor the Gods above, who had done nothing but watch this tragedy unfold.

"For all the cowards who only stare in silence—for all of you above and below—I will tell you one thing. I will never abandon my people! And if you won’t do anything for them, then I will!"
