Chapter 258: Despair
"Battle Start!"
Shi Lan took a deep breath, glaring at Su Hao. The moment the battle started, Shi Lan released her fire.
Unlike Shi Lan, Su Hao didn’t use any weapons. In fact, his element was his weapon like most of the people in this place.
Shi Lan waved her sword and sent a crescent shaped fire toward Su Hao.
"Endless Fire Moon."
Su Hao pointed at the fire and shouted, "Freeze!"
Suddenly, an ice formed in front of the Endless Fire Moon and started spreading all over its body and eventually covering the fire in ice. In other words, Su Hao managed to freeze a fire instead of extinguishing it.
"Su Hao has improved again." All the elders nodded their heads, satisfied with his improvement. However, his opponent was Shi Lan.
With Li Mu as her master, there was no way Shi Lan wouldn’t improve too.
"Is that so? I have seen an ice colder than that." Shi Lan smirked.
"!!!" Su Hao immediately looked at the frozen flame that soon flared up and melted the ice before coming to him. "What?"
Su Hao hurriedly waved his hand and formed an ice crystal in front of him. "Icy Formation."
The Endless Fire Moon now struck this ice crystal and was extinguished.
It produced so much steam that it covered Su Hao’s vision.
Shi Lan had expected something like this, so she took advantage of this situation to move closer to Su Hao.
"Flying Moon Sword." Shi Lan struck the ground as the sword strike ran through the ground and arrived at Su Hao from the side.
"!!!" Su Hao was surprised but managed to react. He created another Icy Formation to freeze them.
However, Shi Lan had another trick in this technique. Before it struck the Icy Formation, the sword strike suddenly rose from the ground and formed a huge ball like that of a moon. After that, the moon released an energy that looked like an arrow to hit Su Hao.
"What?" Due to the surprise, Su Hao raised both hands to protect himself, receiving the attack head-on. He simply couldn’t avoid it.

The dust kicked up, covering everyone’s vision.
"What?"
"Did Su Hao just lose?"
"That easily?"
"You should praise Senior Sister Shi Lan’s technique. The technique might be even trickier than we saw. The power was also similar to Advance Level Martial Arts. It must be among the strongest Advanced Level Martial Arts, though I don’t know where Senior Sister got it."

Everyone thought Su Hao had lost this battle, but suddenly, the dust was blown away, revealing Su Hao’s condition.

"I can’t shake it off?" Shi Lan narrowed her eyes before waving her hand. "Phoenix Talon."
A phoenix soon flew out of her finger and opened its mouth as if trying to engulf this arrow.
"Not good! That’s a King Level Array!"
"Even though Su Hao can’t utilize a King Level Array to the fullest potential, the power coming from it is still extremely strong."
As they said, the arrow pierced through the phoenix and even tore the phoenix’s body apart.
"Tsk." Shi Lan gritted her teeth and examined the arrow. "It seems I can’t block it without my strongest technique."
After recognizing the enemy’s power, Shi Lan gathered all her flame into her sword.
"It’s impossible to block it, Shi Lan. Soon, you’re going to be mine. Hahahahahaha!" Su Hao laughed uncontrollably. He couldn’t help imagining what he would do as soon as he got his hands on Shi Lan.
"Say that after you won!" Shi Lan shouted as she released all her strength into the sword.
The flame flared up to the point its length became half of the arena.
"Haaaa!" Shi Lan struck the arrow with this flaming sword.
The clash somehow split the atmosphere into two, one red and one blue. The overwhelming power coming from the King Class Array began to dominate the flaming sword.
"Not good!"
"If this continues, Senior Sister Shi Lan will lose."
"That’s right. Su Hao is cheating. To think he would use a King Class Array."
"There’s no way we can accept this battle!"
Before Su Hao shouted back, Shi Lan roared as her flame erupted. "I’m not done yet, Su Hao. Today, I’m going to make sure you’re dead."
"It’s impossible to fight against a King Level Array, Shi Lan." Su Hao looked down on her as if he had already won.
"Is that so?" Shi Lan smirked as she completed her swing. "Red Lotus Sword."
The moment the swing completed, the flame turned into a huge lotus that rose into the sky.
"What is that? This is not an Advance Level Martial Art anymore." The elders suddenly rose from their seats when they looked at this technique. They felt dread because their lives were also in danger if they fought against this lotus.
Even Su Hao felt the intense heat coming from the lotus. "NOOOO!"
The lotus suddenly exploded, engulfing the entire arena.
The arrow melted in an instant as the flame continued to spread.
All the elders hurriedly moved to the edge of the arena and erected a barrier to direct the heat upward so that it didn’t harm the disciples.
This was the first time they saw Shi Lan’s full power.
Even the elder couldn’t help but drop his jaw as he stated, "This is not an Advance Level Martial Art, it’s an Ancient Level Martial Art. Even us, elders, might die if we’re not careful. So, this is Shi Lan’s true strength."
"Su Hao... might have... lost..." One of the elders who supported Su Hao gasped. Unfortunately, he couldn’t make a move because Li Mu had been glaring at all elders to not make a single move.
The flame gradually disappeared, revealing Shi Lan’s condition.
She had dropped to the ground while panting as she had released all her Spiritual Energy in that one attack. "I can’t fight anymore, but it’s fine... this is...!!!"
She dropped her jaw when she saw the opposite direction. A shadow emerged from the flame as he laughed out loud while shouting, "So, this is your strength, Shi Lan. Don’t worry. After you become my wife, you can become even stronger, but you’re going to serve me for the rest of your life."
Su Hao emerged from the fire. His clothes had been burned but his body was covered by an armor. The armor had been excluding blue lines and powerful ice ability.
"That armor... a King Grade Armor that has been imbued by Ice Element King Level Array." Shi Lan looked at Su Hao in terror. For the first time in her life, she fell into despair.
