Chapter 249: Mission
After returning to Li Mu’s house, Albert clasped his hands politely to the First Elder. "Thank you."
"It’s fine. Our two peaks will become closer after this, so you don’t need to mind about it." The First Elder chuckled. It seemed Albert’s talent had satisfied him. "You should go inside first. I need to go back to the meeting right now."
"I understand. Then, I’ll excuse myself." Albert nodded and entered the house before feeling the First Elder’s presence disappear.
Albert smiled and went to Gin’s room. Surprisingly, Natasha also stayed in the same room as if they were expecting Albert to tell the story about this meeting.
When they looked at him after opening that door, Albert gave a thumbs up on them, showing that the plan had succeeded.
Gin smirked while Natasha felt relieved.
After that, Albert told them everything that happened there. Gin obviously laughed when they got what they deserved while Natasha shook her head helplessly when she heard Albert bonking an elder.
"Don’t you think bonking the elder is necessary?" Natasha asked. "What if it makes you look disobedient?"
"I don’t really care about that." Albert shrugged. "For now, I’m waiting for Li Mu to come back before leaving the mountain to bait those from the Su Family."
"Certainly. However, I suggest that Teacher brings him with you." Gin pointed at the salamander that had been standing on his shoulder. He couldn’t contain himself anymore after hiding for a whole day.
"Exploring a new land! Sounds good!" The salamander smirked. "I’m getting fired up."
"Well, it’s truly time for you to challenge the people here." Albert nodded. "Though, you will only reveal your original form when the fight starts."
"Don’t worry. I know what I’m supposed to do. My instinct has been telling me that there are many people who are stronger than me here. I’m not going to take a risk." The salamander nodded.
"So, what should I call you?" Albert asked.
"I love the name Gin offered me. You may call me Salamander of Destruction!"
"Too long!"
"Besides, it doesn’t suit this place, no?" Albert’s eyebrows twitched.
"Fine. Just call me Salamander." The salamander looked away, annoyed.
"Well, I’ll be learning from the First Elder here while waiting for you. In the meantime, I’ll take care of Natasha until she’s strong enough." Gin smiled.
"Okay, thank you, Gin." Albert thought for a moment and said, "Well, we’re going on a mission close to the Joyful Union Sect. What do you think?"
"I don’t see any problem. Even though coming here is a great choice, I don’t think they’ll trust you fully. Hence, it’s better for you to hit the Joyful Union Sect because they’re our enemies." Gin nodded in agreement.
"Do you have anything that you want, Natasha?" Albert asked.
"Well, before I have this..." Natasha took out her bonk bat and continued, "...I would have asked you to buy me some s*x toys since the Joyful Union Sect should have something like that. But I don’t think I want anything?"
"Fair enough. I’ll just do whatever I want there and go back here." Albert confirmed her wish and turned to Gin as if asking the same question.
"Nope! I don’t want anything. I’ll be too occupied with array to even care. You don’t need to think about me for the time being."
"Okay. In that case, our goal is clear. At the very least, the enemies inside the sect have been taken care of. I don’t know what kind of place the Lightning Prison is, but from their expressions alone, I knew it would be a horrible place. Hence, our current problem would be the Su Family." Albert looked down, contemplating his plan.
After talking for another while, Albert finally retired to his own room, resting in his new home.
As soon as the morning came, Li Mu returned to the home after a long meeting with all the elders.
He found Albert sitting in a lotus pose in the garden accompanied by Shi Lan, who was watching over him.
Since Li Mu had come back, Albert opened his eyes and looked at Li Mu, clasping his hands.
"Here you are! I’ve conveyed your plan in becoming the mountain master’s disciple with your own effort instead of taking it for granted. Hence, the mountain master has agreed to let you become a Core Disciple and elevate your status to a True Disciple.
"Your talent is good and he’s also satisfied with your performance. However, he still needs to test you further. There are two options. First, take a mission for a True Disciple and complete it. Second, go to the Martial Arts Pavilion and learn a 5 Advanced Level Martial Arts. It’s your choice!"
"Is the mission entirely up to my choice?"
"Yes." Li Mu confirmed it without hesitation.
"I will take the mission then." Albert nodded. "Learning is good and easy, but I need to gain experiences. So, the best way to do it is to go out."
"I know. That’s why I have prepared these two tokens for you." Li Mu took out two tokens with ’Core’ and ’True’ words written on it. "It will take a while for your name to be spread in the sect, so it might cause you problems, so there are two tokens for you. Because True Disciple status will bring too much attention, you can use Core Disciple token when taking a mission. But True Disciples are the elites among the Core Disciples, so if you use the Core Disciple Token, you’re required to take on the highest difficulty missions."
"I don’t see any problems with it." Albert nodded without hesitation. "Do I need to bring someone with me?"
"The mission can be a group or not. If you insist on bringing someone, you can ask Shi Lan’s help. She’ll gladly follow you, right?" Li Mu glanced at Shi Lan, who furiously nodded her head.
"Well, thank you for Elder Li Mu and Senior Sister Shi Lan’s concern, but I’ll try this mission alone."
"Well, it’s your choice. Just make sure that you can escape if something goes wrong."
"Understood." Albert clasped his hands and politely received the two tokens. Without hesitation, he stood up and prepared to leave since this was the reason Albert waited Li Mu here.
"Haha, it seems that you were waiting for me..."
Albert smiled awkwardly before nodding his head. After that, he walked away and leaped off the mountain, thinking, ’Well, it’s time for me to make some chaos in the Joyful Union Sect."
