Chapter 242: Panic

*Boom!*

Shi Lan wanted to call his name, but she had no idea of his name. That was why she was confused for a split second, causing her reaction to be a bit slow.

The dust was kicked upward while Albert’s figure disappeared either inside the dust or blown away to the bottom of the mountain.

However, the wind from the top of the mountain started blowing, swiping the cloud of dust. At the same time, Albert’s voice echoed from within the cloud.

"I haven’t done anything and you have attacked me. This is why I don’t want to climb with the normal way."

When the wind blew the dust away, Albert’s appearance was revealed. There wasn’t a single injury in his body. In fact, Albert had raised his left foot and bonk bat as if he was planning to hit a baseball.

"Wha—!" Su Hao was stunned because of Albert’s condition and reaction. However, Albert swung his bat first before he could react, hitting him on the face.

Obviously, Su Hao was a perfect target for bonk, considering he was lusting for Shi Lan. That was why the Bonk Bat was activated and released a powerful shock wave that blasted Su Hao out of the mountain.

"Gah!" Su Hao shouted as he felt the sharp pain on his cheek. Because of him falling, he hurriedly stabilized himself in the air.

"Home run?" Natasha asked.

"Deep in the left field." Albert clicked his tongue as if he was disappointed.

Their reaction angered Su Hao as he roared. "You Bastard!"

When he was about to fly back, Shi Lan stepped forward, this time between him and Albert. Instead of grabbing Su Hao’s hand to stop him, Shi Lan was planning to use her body to block it. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

At the same time, she shouted, "Su Hao. How bold you are! Are you going to break the rule? Master never holds back when punishing anyone that breaks the peak rule!"

"!!!" Su Hao stopped after listening to those words, knowing full well how true those words were.

The moment he left the mountain, it was clear that he needed to return to the bottom to climb the mountain again. And this was what Albert was aiming for.

"You bastard! I will remember you! Don’t think you will have a good time inside the sect!" Su Hao decided to retreat to the bottom, of course, after saying all those threats.

Shi Lan’s face became pale as she understood perfectly what those threats meant. She also remembered how reluctant Albert and Gin climbed the mountain.

Even Gin couldn’t help but say, "I think we’ve won the bet. But hell, what is going to happen now? Should we kill him? Then, his elder whatsoever will come to us, becoming an endless trouble. Why should we even climb the mountain... the rule sucks."

"That’s... I’m sorry." Shi Lan scratched the back of her head. She truly had no words to refute him. Gin and Albert had shown an unprecedented level of rejection to the rule, but she still insisted in following the rule. It turned out they already had an idea this would happen and she was just forcing them to enter this problem.

"Maybe we should just change peak?" Gin glanced at Albert. "Natasha has four grade 7 elements while I can use Grandmaster Level Array. As for you, your talent is above us. If we go to the other peaks, I think we will be more accepted..."

When Shi Lan heard Gin’s words, her face became pale. She realized why Li Mu actually wanted her to bring them here. It turned out their talents were far above her.

If her enforcing the rule would actually make them leave this peak, she might have done something that she would regret forever.

"That... That..." Shi Lan was trying to find something to stop them.

At first, she thought force would work, but it seemed Albert’s strength was beyond her imagination. To beat Su Hao like that would mean Albert might be able to fight someone beyond his level. It would be impossible for her to defeat Albert without causing a huge fight. And it would also become the end of their relationship.

However, no matter how hard she tried to find an excuse, there was nothing she could use to hold them here. In fact, she didn’t even know their name.

Albert let out a long sigh.

In Shi Lan’s mind, this sigh contained all the disappointment Albert had in her. It was the last action he would show before leaving here.

Without hesitation, Shi Lan grabbed Albert’s arm while stuttering, "Wait... Wait a minute. Don’t... go... Don’t go."

Her face was pale, fully knowing the extent of the problem. Four Grade 7 Elements alone was enough to cause a huge ruckus in this place, let alone a kid who could use Grandmaster Level Array. The First Elder, who was an Elemental Array Master, wouldn’t let her go, especially if she made Gin hate the Five Elements Mountain.

And Gin said Albert had a talent even more amazing than those two, if that didn’t tell her anything, she would be deaf.

Her action wouldn’t impact her life alone. Even Li Mu would be affected. If these three left the mountain or even the sect, she would experience a life worse than death. Li Mu would be stripped from his status. Every single thing that could go wrong would go wrong.

That was why Shi Lan was panicking. She needed a way to make Albert stay here.

Albert facepalmed while letting out another sigh.

"That’s... What... What do you want me to do? Let me compensate you? How about we climb the cliff first and we will talk about this?"

Gin looked at Albert with a smug smile, praising his teacher that could defeat Shi Lan just by a sigh.

Meanwhile, Albert was pondering the pros and cons, considering his life would be targeted by Su Hao.

’Well, killing people will give me some EXP too. I guess more problems means more EXP. I’ll just need to take care of Natasha and Gin since they’re not strong enough right now. I’ll see whether this Li Mu is a capable guy or not, or I will just move to another peak or sect.’

Albert thought for a moment before saying, "Fine. Let’s go to the top first before anything goes wrong again."

"Y-yes!" Shi Lan subconsciously made a huge smile as if she had just won something big. In a world where strength ruled, talent was indeed something that could destroy one’s life.
