Chapter 881: Chapter 881: Free Change
"What are you talking about?" Seth shook his head and smiled. Now, Kael’s words were sounding incredulous.
"I might not know much about the Divine Tiers but I know enough to know bullshit," Seth added, and he was right.
The Slime God of Change was imprisoned along with his entire race two racial generations ago.
If he could actually communicate with creatures on the outside, there would have been records. In fact, if he could communicate with anyone at all, that would mean he could influence some things happening on the outside and that was more than enough for him to just escape.
Kael raised an eyebrow, "You think I’m lying?" He asked.
"I know you are lying," Seth said confidently.
Kael’s lips pressed against each other and a very deep growl manifested from the center of his chest.
"Who do you think you are?" Kael asked. The intensity with which he asked that question was so powerful that Seth had to straighten his face and become serious again.
Kael leaned forward, his face becoming uglier, "Even now, you are still naive and stupid.
I have come so far and climbed my way to my current power level despite all the opposition I have faced.
The dragons, the ancient felines, I have all the power needed right now to make their lives a living hell.
You and I are not even equals anymore. Even if you deceived yourself and told yourself that you still had a trump card to beat me, that would only be prolonging the inevitable.
I can kill you.
I SHOULD kill you, and everyone who has wronged me.
But I am here, offering a helping hand in consideration for the greater danger.
And you have the disgusting and riveting guts to tell me that I am lying to you?
Who do you fucking think you are?!"
*BAM!*
Seth’s glowing white eyes widened in horror as the All-King suddenly appeared right in front of him with his head raised.
Kael’s cold golden gaze stared down at Seth, expanding rapidly in the other’s gaze.
Before Seth could do anything, Kael’s forehead smashed into his face and flattened his nose.
Seth’s neck nearly snapped off and his body flew back faster than it had ever flown.
By the time he stopped, he had already flown a light-year in those few seconds.
His nose was bloody and bright red blood poured out of his damaged nose.
Seth looked up and saw that the All-King was already in front of him once again.
Kael’s hand shot out and grasped Seth’s neck. This time, Seth refused to take this.
A surge of Freedom Essence burst out of his body and slammed into Kael, pushing him back a little.
The void cracked and turned white. The closest star literally flickered as though it had been blown by a powerful wind that threatened to snuff out its light.
Kael did not attack again. On his face was a smile that wasn’t really a smile. Rather, it was a confirmation that his arrogance was rightfully placed and an expression of his satisfaction with his power.
The smile did not linger as it eventually faded to a stoic expression.
"Even now, I could harm you in ways you have never and will never imagine.
Do not mistake my tolerance for willingness to be disrespected."
Although Kael said this and looked at Seth with righteous authority, inwardly, he chucked.
This was master level bullshit.
Of course, Change was not the one who told him what he knew but Kael would not admit that.
He wanted to change the whole landscape and he was planning on confusing everyone so hard that they wouldn’t know left from right.
He was also protecting Reincarnation, not because he liked her or anything, but because Reincarnation was a single point of failure that could not be touched.
If the Highest Will found out that it was Reincarnation that told him these things, he would lose the chance of finding those Primordials.
The Highest Will and other involved parties would also be able to guess some of Kael’s next actions.
If Reincarnation knew or could guess what he wanted to do, it was fine, he didn’t mind. She needed him and would probably not stand in his way either.
She would rather watch what happens as it unfolds.
"I will help you, do well to accept it," Kael said.
Seth’s nose healed up and he looked at Kael with rage but didn’t dare to fight back. Not after that insane show of strength.
How Kael managed to close the gap in their power level in such a short time baffled him and actually made him scared.
He felt like he was being left behind.
"..." There were a lot of things that he wanted to say but he wasn’t able to say them. Did he believe Kael? Not necessarily.
But Kael had proved a point, he really did not need to lie to him, not unless he had another motive in mind.
Without waiting for Seth’s confirmation, Kael continued talking.
"Whatever you are doing, do it properly. The Highest Will wanted us to fight ourselves and kill each other.
But if we don’t, we eventually get too strong that he has to wipe everything in existence away.
Everyone’s life is at stake.
You can rest assured from now on that I will never stand in your way as long as you don’t stand in my way.
But that is nothing as I want us to combine forces to free our patron.
In fact, I am willing to sacrifice something for you if you assist me with something,"
"I want the Primordial Rat," Seth immediately said, still angry. That he could not beat Kale back after that headbutt angered him.
His emotions which he had always kept under control had to be suppressed with greater strength today.
Still, his logical mind told him that he should at least profit from this unlikely alliance until he had the power to completely dominate Kael.
To Seth’s request, Kael shook his head, "First, you must agree to help me free Change.
Only you and I have experience in breaking in and out of Heavenly Realms like Myriad Heaven and Original Heaven."
Once again, Seth was shocked.
