The atmosphere grew tense as Hutton and Bob processed Boma’s casual revelation.
"The thing that’s chasing you… is hot on your tail?" Bob asked, his voice rising in alarm.
Boma nodded nonchalantly, crossing his arms as if the situation was just another minor inconvenience. "Yeah. Should be here soon, I’d guess. You might want to wrap up whatever you’re doing."
Hutton’s face darkened, his mind racing. If someone—or worse, something—was capable of forcing Boma, a cultivator with such overwhelming power, to flee, then it wasn’t something they could afford to ignore. His thoughts immediately went to Veronica, Kenneth, Jake, Everlyn, and Lily, who were still in hiding nearby.
"We need to move—now!" Hutton ordered sharply.
Without wasting another second, he and Bob turned and bolted out of the chamber, retracing their steps back through the corridors they had fought through earlier. The urgency in their movements mirrored the growing dread in their hearts.
Bob glanced at Hutton as they ran with Boma behind them, his voice tense. "If this thing can make someone like Boma run… what are we dealing with here?"
"I don’t know," Hutton admitted, his tone clipped. "But I’m not about to let it get anywhere near the others."
They navigated the corridors quickly, stepping over the defeated bodies of henchmen and thugs that littered the path. As they got closer to the hiding spot, Hutton felt his anxiety grow. The oppressive feeling in the air was getting heavier, a chilling sensation creeping up his spine.
Finally, they reached the secluded area where Veronica and the rest were hiding. Veronica was the first to notice them, her eyes narrowing as she stepped forward. "What’s going on? Did you deal with the bosses? And whose this?""
"He’s Mr. Boma. Honestly, There’s no time to explain," Hutton said urgently, his gaze sweeping over the group. "We have to move. Now."
Veronica frowned but didn’t question him further, sensing the seriousness in his tone. Kenneth, Jake, Everlyn, and Lily quickly stood, their faces showing a mix of confusion and concern.
"What’s happening?" Kenneth asked nervously.
"Something’s coming," Bob answered grimly. "This man here is quite a formidable Nascent soul cultivator who unexpectedly showed up in our aid. But now, there is something that even this man couldn’t deal with. We need to get out of here before it arrives."
The weight of his words settled over the group, and their expressions shifted to alarm.
Without another word, Hutton led them back toward the exit, his senses on high alert. As they moved, the oppressive feeling in the air grew stronger, and faint tremors began to vibrate through the building’s foundation.
"That doesn’t feel normal…" Everlyn whispered, her voice trembling.
"It’s not," Hutton replied grimly. "Stay close, and don’t look back."
The group picked up their pace, their footsteps echoing through the corridors as the ominous presence behind them drew closer. Hutton glanced at Bob, whose expression mirrored his own unease. Whatever was coming, they could only hope to outrun it. For now.
But the heavens seems to not be smiling on them as just when they were about to leave the building, The ground beneath them suddenly trembled violently, throwing the group off balance as an earsplitting roar echoed through the building. Before anyone could react, the floor erupted with a deafening explosion of stone and dust.
A massive figure shot up from the ground, its force sending devastating chunks of debris flying in every direction.
"Brace yourselves!" Hutton roared.
Hutton, Bob, and Boma immediately moved, their reflexes honed from countless battles. With coordinated precision, the trio blocked the incoming debris, shielding the others from being crushed. A protective barrier of spiritual energy formed around them as Boma added his power to ensure nothing could break through.
The chaos slowly subsided, and dust settled enough for the group to make out the monstrous being before them.
Two enormous heads rose into the air, their serpentine bodies coiling with a grace that belied their immense size. The creature’s scales shimmered ominously in the dim light, each one as large as a shield. Its twin heads, each crowned with menacing golden eyes, darted back and forth as if scanning for prey.
The sheer size of the beast made the entire group freeze in horror and disbelief. It towered over the remains of the building, its body spanning as far as the structure itself. The oppressive aura radiating from it made the air feel heavy, almost suffocating.
"That…" Hutton’s voice caught in his throat as his eyes widened. "…is impossible."
Even Bob, who had faced countless powerful foes in his lifetime, was visibly shaken. "What in the world are we looking at?"
Kenneth, Veronica, Jake, Everlyn, and Lily were completely paralyzed, their faces pale as they stared up at the creature in abject terror.
Boma stepped forward, his expression unusually serious. "I… I should apologize for this mess," he began, his tone laced with both regret and urgency. "I didn’t think it would catch up to me so quickly."
Hutton turned sharply to Boma, his disbelief turning into anger. "You brought this here? What the hell is it?!"
Boma sighed, his eyes fixed on the colossal two-headed snake. "That," he said, gesturing toward the beast, "is a Primordial Beast. One of the oldest, most dangerous creatures to ever exist. And, well… it seems to have a grudge against me."
"A Primordial Beast?" Bob echoed, his tone laced with equal parts awe and dread.
Boma nodded grimly. "Their power is beyond what most cultivators can even comprehend. They’re as old as the earth itself, born of raw, chaotic energy. Killing one isn’t just difficult—it’s practically unheard of."
The group fell silent, their gazes locked on the snake as its twin heads swayed, its eyes now fixed on them.
"Apologies aside, Boma," Hutton said, his voice cold and steely, "if this thing is here because of you, you’d better have a plan."

Boma gave a rueful smile, his hand glowing faintly as he prepared himself. "I might have one… but you’re not going to like it."
The creature let out a bone-shaking hiss, and the air became even heavier. It was clear that they didn’t have much time.
Hutton clenched his fists as his mind raced, but the sheer presence of the colossal two-headed snake was too overwhelming. There was no time to think. His instincts screamed that any hesitation would mean their doom.
"Boma!" he eventually barked, his voice sharp. "What’s your plan? Spit it out!"
Boma’s face remained composed despite the situation, though his tone was unusually somber. "We lure it to the cliffs west of here. There’s a narrow pass that will limit its movements, and with some luck, we can seal it in a collapsed ravine using a high-level talisman I have."
The words hung in the air for a moment, and as they registered, the group collectively turned to Boma with wide eyes.
"You’re kidding, right?" Bob’s voice carried an edge of disbelief. "A twenty percent chance of that working, and you’re calling it a plan?"
"That’s suicide!" Veronica snapped. "It’s a Primordial Beast! Even if we get it to the cliffs, what guarantees it’ll stay there long enough for us to seal it?"
"Nothing guarantees it," Boma admitted bluntly, his calm tone only adding to their frustration. "But unless you’ve got a better plan, this is our best shot. Running is pointless. Fighting it head-on is impossible."
Hutton’s jaw tightened as he locked eyes with Boma. "Twenty percent, huh?" He exhaled slowly. "That’s a hell of a gamble."
Before anyone could add more protests, the beast let out a deafening roar that reverberated through the remains of the building. Its twin heads twisted menacingly as its massive tail lashed out with blinding speed.
"Move!" Hutton shouted, pushing the others aside as the serpent’s tail descended with devastating force.
The air seemed to ripple under the sheer weight of the attack. Boma stepped forward with lightning-quick reflexes, his hands glowing with a blinding aura. He raised both arms just in time, summoning a protective barrier that absorbed the brunt of the impact. The ground beneath him cracked and buckled, and Boma gritted his teeth as he was forced back a few steps.
"Barely deflected it," Boma muttered to himself, his voice low and strained.
Dust and debris settled around the group, and Hutton quickly assessed their situation. The beast was preparing another attack, and the chances of survival were growing slimmer with every passing second.
"Alright," Hutton said firmly, turning to Boma. "We’ll follow your plan. But if this doesn’t work—"
"—then none of us will be around to argue about it," Boma interjected with a wry smile.
Bob cursed under his breath. "This is crazy."
"Crazy is better than dead!" Hutton snapped back. "But first, we need to do something concerning these guys" Hutton eventually said as he laid his eyes on James, Kenneth, Evelyn and Lily with a pondering look on his face. But just then, Veronica suddenly spoke up with a grim determination.
"Don’t worry, I will handle them"
