Chapter 440: Chapter 265: Cultivation World 55_3

Si Lingle stood in front of the Wind Thunder Tower, looking up at the majestic building. The pavilion had eaves that curved upwards, and beneath them hung the unique Purple Gold Bell of the Wind and Thunder Sword Sect. As the breeze blew past, the bell rang clear like a sword. She tidied up her robe and stepped inside.

The shopkeeper who greeted her was a middle-aged cultivator at the Golden Core stage, with a calm demeanor and eyes like lightning. Seeing Si Lingle enter, he slightly cupped his hands: "Senior, what brings you here?"

Si Lingle smiled faintly, taking out an exquisite Communication Jade and placing it on the counter: "I’ve heard that the Wind and Thunder Sword Sect has a considerable study on Communication Jades. I, the Taoist Monarch, have something that might catch your sect’s interest."

The shopkeeper lifted the Communication Jade and scrutinized it carefully. This jade was entirely white, with complex runes engraved on the surface, and faint spirit light flickered around it.

Si Lingle tapped lightly with her finger, and the jade immediately lit up, a light screen emerging and clearly reflecting the image of the two.

"This is... like the Water Mirror function?" Surprise flashed in the shopkeeper’s eyes.

Si Lingle nodded: "Correct, this Communication Jade not only transmits sound but also real-time imaging, allowing conversations as if face to face, regardless of distance. I refer to it as a video communication function."

The shopkeeper pondered for a moment: "Senior, this item is indeed extraordinary, but what about the production capacity? And the cost?"

Si Lingle was well-prepared: "We can supply a hundred pieces a month, with the price marked up by thirty percent over market rate. If your sect is interested, I can provide the refining method, but I require a fifty percent profit share."

"Please wait a moment, Senior." The shopkeeper immediately contacted the Steward of the main peak of the Wind and Thunder Sword Sect.

After a while, the main peak Steward arrived.

Following a bout of negotiation, a partnership was finalized. Si Lingle would provide the refining method, receiving a thirty percent profit share.

Si Lingle then followed the main peak Steward back to the Wind and Thunder Sword Sect to refine and produce Communication Jades with their Artifact Refiners.

A Heavenly Net was established to enable the use of the Communication Jades.

After the sect’s Array Masters and Artifact Refining Room had completed their tasks, Si Lingle left the Wind and Thunder Sword Sect.

A year later, video-capable Communication Jades became popular in the Daluo Lower Realm.

Every month, she could go to the Wind Thunder Tower and collect Spirit Stones using her Token.

Si Lingle came to collect her earnings every six months.

Six years passed in this manner, and Yan Li returned Si Lingle’s communication.

A few days later, Yan Li arrived in Anping City.

Yan Li’s cultivation was at the Divinity Transformation Great Perfection, yet he hadn’t broken through to the Void Refinement Realm.

He had been in seclusion, and now, emerging was to seek opportunities for breakthrough.

The two chatted briefly about recent events, then agreed to venture together once Lan Xin emerged from seclusion.

Two years later, Lan Xin came out of seclusion, her cultivation restored to the Initial Stage of Soul Emergence.

Si Lingle and the three set out to train, headed for the Wuyu Mountain Range.

No sooner had the trio entered the mountains than they were surrounded by a sudden blood mist.

Yan Li said: "It’s the Bone Rotting Miasma, watch your step!"

The ground suddenly collapsed, and dozens of skeletal arms burst through the soil.

Si Lingle’s sword remained unsheathed, as her Thunder Sword Intent wove an electric net across the ground. Lan Xin suddenly grabbed her shoulder: "Don’t use spiritual power! These are..." Before she could finish, the skeletons absorbed all the thunder.

Lan Xin: "These bones are unique monsters of the Wuyu Mountain Range, immune to all spells."

Si Lingle clenched her fist and began hitting the bones furiously.

Within a few minutes, the bones were shattered by Si Lingle, who then collected them.

These bones could be used as refining materials.

Over a month later, the trio entered the desert region of the Wuyu Mountain Range.

The scorching sand felt like burning charcoal, and the hot air made breathing feel like a burn. Gusts of wind raised sand walls which roared past, fine sand sneaking into collars and cuffs, while far away a dust cloud rose like a golden dragon, cloaking the skies.

Their footprints were swiftly swallowed by the flowing sand, as if the desert refused to let any intruder leave a trace.

Suddenly, a deep roar came from afar, echoing through the vast desert, shaking the sand into a rustle.

The trio immediately grew alert, spotting a cloud of dust rising in the distance, and a giant Divinity Transformation stage demon beast charged toward them.

This demon beast was as large as a mountain, covered in tough scales that shone with metallic luster. Sharp horns adorned its head, gleaming coldly, while fiery breath spewed from its mouth, turning the sand red-hot.

Si Lingle was the first to charge, her Qingchu Sword slicing out a fierce sword light towards the beast’s head. The beast dodged swiftly, opening its gaping maw to spit fire at Si Lingle.

Si Lingle deftly dodged, the flame brushing past her, scorching the sand behind her into charred earth.

Lan Xin saw this and initiated a spell, sending it flying towards the beast’s body.

The spell struck the beast’s body, causing its scales to quiver, and it let out a deep roar, but it wasn’t severely harmed.

Yan Li, not to be outdone, released his Mechanical Puppet Beast, commanding it to battle the demon beast.

The demon beast roared furiously, rushing at Si Lingle with massive claws.

Si Lingle sidestepped and swung her Qingchu Sword, slicing a wound in the beast’s claw.

Blood gushed from the wound, dripping onto the sand, which quickly soaked it dry.

In pain, the beast’s attacks grew increasingly ferocious.

Yet Si Lingle and her companions fought in perfect coordination, gaining strength as the battle went on.

The demon beast let out a tragic cry, its body flung into the air. It landed heavily in the sand, struggled for a moment, then lay still.

Si Lingle collected the corpse, and the trio continued on their way.

Upon nightfall, Yan Li began setting up an Array, and the trio started dissecting the demon beast.

As for the hunted prey, it would be sold later and the profits shared equally.
